first, there is not any application like that on wildfire, so maybe you will be interested in xtc-clip, that makes s-off and also, unlocks wildfire network (to use all sims)
Thanks for the reply As far as I know this method is very expensive for those wanting to unlock only one handset... Any other suggestions?
Kind regards
Send the phone to a shop which has an XTC Clip. Alternative - Buy an unlock code from your operator / websites offering unlock codes. In the end, I think both will cost you the same.
Don't think there is any free way yet like that for the Desire.
yeah, as 3xeno said, there are lots of shops with xtc-clip, and it will cost around 20 Euros
Thank you all for your answers. You helped me a lot
I used HTCMania to find a online seller that sent me a unlock network code. Worked flawlessly, and they sent to me after 24h.
Thanks for your reply, louiscypherbr. How much does it cost? Best regards
I am on 3 network in UK I've asked them for code to unlock my HTC just payd 15 quid for that

but again that is pretty expensive, considering most people use it for rooting

It isn't for rooting but rather, to change operators / use another operators SIM in your device as and when needed.

There is no free solution at the moment, but www.imei-check.co.uk will do the Job for you for 20 Pounds. It works fine and you do not sound like you can wait for a free solution xD

Hi sasan mate
Well i have couple of phones for unlock. imei-check is a grate solution, but i prefer xda-developers free solution cos i have more than 2 of them phones to unlock. in return im looking forward to make more donations to xda-developers.
many thanks for your quick reply
Currently there are only two ways to have an artemis unlocked; If you don't want to wait, then pay. If you don't want to pay, then wait.
Another way ... I have just called today to T-Mobile UK and it`s will cost 15£ to get unlock code from them, BUT ... its will takes till 2 !!! weeks ...

hello im newbie here, i just want to ask if anyone here can help me to unlock my htc desire hd that was lock to orange uk. thank you for the help
I recommend eBay and the like. I have used many sites, and they all work the same way, so basically choose based on support and feedback.
If you are looking to do a bit more to get it for free, I have used both freeunlocks.com and freeg1unlockcodes.com (not sure if they are the same company, as they look very similar), otherwise, you can't go wrong with eBay (assuming you choose a seller with good feedback).
It can be done for free. I first rooted and s-off my desire using the XDA guide. Then searched for a network unlock app. All went well......... bit of a task but went well.

As Shmootz said, an unlock code can be bought on eBay. I bought an unlock code for a T-Mobile US HTC HD2 on eBay before and it worked like a charm.

You can try what i did on my DHD:
Put on other simcard and enter boot mode and go to simlock, wait for it to finish, restart phone and it should work..it did for me
Please don't ask how, why, when or whatever else!
This is only a general question to all of you
I'm thinking since two weeks to ask the community if there is an interest to get S-OFF on the HTC One X device.
BUT!!!!!!!
We need to buy some hardware for this - and that's the main problem.
We have found an option to S-OFF devices but to cover the cost's we need to charge 20 Euro for each device (include shipping)
Currently there is no other way to make it possible and it seems HTC will not release something for doing this.
We have done a test on a HTC 8 and HTC One X device and it's working. From this point of view I guess we can cover almost every HTC device. But this is a different story. Even my own device is still S-ON.
The Plan:
We will create a page where you can order the S-OFF option for almost EVERY HTC device. You can pay via PayPal or add the money within your shipping package.
We was trying to make a remote solution but this is not working at the moment but I hope we can release this within the future. At the moment we have no chance for some tests. Why? Because of the missing hardware
The next problem is that you need to ship the device to GERMANY. We will make it S-OFF and SuperCID it which will not revert when you flash it and ship it back on the same day.
Bevore we do the invest and starting with all the things which are required, I want to ask all of you if you are interested about this.
At the moment we are all not happy about this solution and I'm not a friend of this way. But it is a way and we hope HTC will think about S-OFF within the future.
My question to all of you:
ARE YOU INTERESTED ABOUT THIS SOLUTION?
What do you think about this?
DON'T ANSWER VIA PM! NO PM's!
First, on which base we can believe you?
You didn't provide any evident that you or your team are able to S-OFF any HTC device. Moreover, you even mentioned that your own device is still S-ON.
My answer:
No, I am not interested in s-off when it costs me 20 euro and having to ship it to an anonymous person who said so on internet.
My max amount for a real s-offing is 5 euro and giving that s-off-ing is instantly.

Yea he's probably "Baked" lol; but in all seriousness unless someone here has S3's to just have fun drop-testing, no one will be willing to give their phone an international journey before themselves.

Sure, don't care about the fact possible or not.
It's just a question if we can cross charge the cost. This is what I want to see, 5 Euro is an example. But with this price we would need round about 800 (!) devices.
Damn!!

That's clear
But this is not the problem. When we can expect the ROI and we will buy the hardware my phone will be one of the first devices
This is the HTC way... Would be the same if I say people to XDA send ur phone. I get the javacard en s-off all the devices...
XDA wants to see a way of s-off for the public.

I know... But it makes no sence to me to buy equipment for 4000 Euro to unlock my device and trash everything after I have S-OFF.
On the second hand it makes no sence to me to unlock my device because no one is able to support unlocked devices. (F***K)
That's all a big ****!!!

Given that we cannot prove if it's true or not, and required shipping my device to an anonymous person in another nation, there's NO WAY I can risk it and 20 euro.

My Answer to you: :good::good::good:YEEEESSS:good::good::good:
I have no Problem with the 20€, because there are many Tools/Mods which need S-Off and this is worth it to me.
And when a trusted Member of XDA is the Person, who will recive the Phone, I will also have no Problem with that.
Sorry for my bad English
Sincerely yours
Daniel
This doesn't sound right to me. Maybe someone near Munich could catch up with the OP and see if he really can S-OFF the Device

He is currently not able to s-off anything. I think he wanted to collect the money ,so he can buy some sort of JTAG/Flashbox. Although I don't know what costs 4000 euro!
Anyway this misleading thread. I'd recommend the OP to ask any mod so they close it.
Like Xmoo said, this method is known for a long time. But without a remote solution it is no option for me. I'm not going to send my phone to Germany. Main reason: I simply need my phone. The money is not the problem, I would pay 20 euro in a heart beat for S-Off.

Don't care at the moment if it's working. This is not the question if it is working. Be sure, wenn we have it, we will release this here at XDA.
We also was thinking about this "S-OFF Drive-In" solution and be sure even this will be possible.
Come, S-OFF, enjoy & Go!
We don't have a problem to do it within this way.
Right now I want to know if someone else would pay for this. Not to become rich, just to cover the invest!

The solution!!!!
We also could open a project like "bread for the world" and try to collect the money. Maybe within 5 years we got it
We are dealing since weeks on this. But if you start the project "S-OFF for the world" I also would spend 10 or 20 Euro's for this. But this will be not a solution when I will be the only one idiot who will spend for this project.
Give me a other solution and we will do it.
i would pay for s-off too, even fly to germany \o.

LOL
I would:
a) never pay for S-OFF as I can do all I need to do with S-ON (little extra effort but SAME result at the end of a day)
b) never send my phone to a complete stranger even in my own country
My 2 cents...
guy's i'm using a Bravo here in Pakistan, its on 2.2.1 i've rooted with recovery, the issue is that everytime i flash another rom it asks for the "input network pin" prompt and i got no signals and no network, no one can unlock the phone here, but yes on froyo i've got my network, thankfully i restored a backup that i made and i get my network back... any one can help me get my phone fully unlocked so i can flash other roms other than froyo?
I would move this topic from Bravo Android Development over to Bravo General because there is where all of the Q&A topics should go. Just my suggestion, tho.
yes this should be moved, but answering your question @jafferkhan, it happened to me before, it is because you bought an cheap unlock code, everytime you flash it, it will ask for the unlock code, buy the code from another server, I know one that worked for me before, or try direct unlock with sigma key, all this methods are paid services

hey juan, thanks for the prompt response, you guys have helped me understand a lot about this phone, yes you're right, i think i will need to get it unlocked, but the entire phone cost me less than 15 dollars here where i am, and i know that it's been softunlocked, to run on 2.2.1 which is why when i upgrade it, it won't unlock, if you can, how to soft unlock it on CM7.2? so i will keep it on that only and it stays unlocked to use it on that
I don't think you could soft unlock this because there is no soft unlock for the Bravo yet like there is for the Defy. Yes, I did suggest you try the Defy soft unlock as a last resort thru PM but it didn't work. Juan seems to know more about this than I do, even I had no idea there was a difference between normal unlock codes and "cheap" ones that only work once. If anything, just find a ROM you would be comfortable staying on and buy another one of those cheap one time use unlock codes Juan talked about in his previous post. I know in my country I have seen cheap unlock codes go for around 2 US Dollars but I don't know how that would translate to Pakistan currency.

If you are interested there is a used Motorola Bravo that is about 55 USA dollars on Amazon (and there's a new version for about 80 USA dollars). It is locked to Consumer Cellular, but it is running 2.2.2 Froyo which a lot of Motorola Bravo developers REALLY REALLY want. You see, most Motorola Bravo phones only run Android 2.2.1 but ONLY CONSUMER CELLULAR VERSIONS RUN ANDROID 2.2.2 SO FINDING ONE WITH 2.2.2 IS VERY RARE AND VERY SOUGHT AFTER. Here is a link to the Amazon product page:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=1688200382&pf_rd_i=507846
EDIT: I actually made a mistake. The one for 50 USA dollars is actually not used, it is new as well.
If you were to get this and it is running 2.2.2 Froyo as its Android version, me and the rest of the Motorola Bravo fans out there would ask you to first perform a system dump of all the Android 2.2.2 files before replacing the Android version with another ROM. To see what I am talking about with the whole Android 2.2.2 on Motorola Bravo thing (and to learn how to perform a system dump as well) take a look at this thread here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2200602
@jasonmerc 55usd is too high, you can buy an atrix by 60
It was the lowest price I have seen for this phone anywhere. He told me he bought his phone in Pakistan where he is, and he said he bought it off of some guy and not on an online service like Amazon. So when it comes to buying one where you are (Santo Domingo) an online service might be your only easy option to buying a phone.

jason answered your question before me ... thanks jase, but yeah i got it here from a dude who imports these phones and sells them cheap, i got it for very cheap since it was in a rough condition, almost for free but since i've been using it, it's a very capable small cute phone, here you can get it for as low as 20 in good condition, and yeah an atrix HD for like 70 dollars here

You can buy a java card (much more expensive than sunshine) or you can to find someone who shares his/her java card with you.
Btw: The search function would have been able to answer your question, too.

I don't see a single reason why I should do that. First an most importantly I already used sunshine several weeks ago. And second even if I hadn't used sunshine and/or hadn't been able to use paypal on my own there would have been other methods to pay the 25 USD.
Java Card is better on the long term, because if your phone is sent as warranty for a motherboard problem for example, you will have need to repaid for a license or when you will change for a new phone too.
After that you can offer your services at a good price to unlock the phones ( the sim unlock too ) and you will largely cover the price of the card. It is true that It is more expensive but it's worth in my opinion.
MOD Edit: comment removed
Shouldn't take everything so seriously. You might live longer

Read about the reasoning behind charging at the dedicated thread for Sunshine. Additionally, here's the official short version of why they charge for money at Sunshine's dedicated web page. Jcase (one of the developers involved) offered a brief explanation about the cost of developing Sunshine.
