ill have to check it out i made a four square account and dont even get it i just made it to try the app lol
Been using it since its relaunch. Very nice app. Still can't add new places, always ends with an error for some reason.

Anyone on Mango having issues installing the most recent update of the 4sq app? 2.1 tells me I need a newer version of Windows Phone to install it.
I can see that there is a new 2.1 version listed in the marketplace, but the only way I could install it was to uninstall/reinstall (BTW, I'm not running the Mango beta). But even after doing that, it reports the version as 2.0.0.1153, and it's still painfully slow to load.
I have 2.0.0.1153
I can't get 2.1 on Mango for now. A bit slow but okay I suppose.
After some testing... its a gorgeous app, bringing out some of the best WP7 can have, but its performance next alot of tuning.
Compared to 4th & Square, its still pretty slow.
I installed it before Mango and it works fine, sometimes a bit sluggish.
I also noticed the live tile doesn't update immediately. Sometimes it takes a restart of the app.
Brand new update released recently now installs on Mango rather than giving you an error message.
But now, the brand new update of 4th & Mayor does not install on Mango.

4th and Mayor works great on my Samsung Focus running Mango. Not sure why it isn't working for you.
Latest version of 4th & Mayor working fine on mango on hd7.

No problems here. Both apps are working great on my phone. Used the official app to check in for lunch today and it worked perfectly.

Its basically a tile of your foursquare point scoreboard. Nothing really that special.

I live in Portugal and the live tile works fine and updates regurlarly.
And its just your score and your friend's scores, their pics included.

I don't think there'll be one single update,wp7 is too big a mess to solve in one swoop. Next year April probably we'll be smiling from ear to ear and sideloading apps we haven't even thought of. Until then its slim pickings,should have waited for the bloody Nokia.

I'm wondering if the transparent wallpaper "feature" was actually a bug that we just took advantage off. I noticed that the squares in various hubs, such as office and picture, no longer go transparent when I move from page to page like they did before mango.
Yeah I'm pretty sure wasn't a feature, it was more of a hack

Yeah man, they had to do something with Zune on the lockscreen, and it made it a huge mess. It's too bad, I did it to my friends focus and it looked beautiful. And I don't own a WP7 currently, so I will never get to enjoy it.
Maybe if we get a poll going, we could bring this to Microsoft's attention?

well i miss the favs button and the tabs button being on the screen, instead of having to use the menu, i honestly didnt mind the URL bar at the top, but whatever, I cant wait for the official Mango update to come out

I have to agree about the browser. It's not a make or break problem for me, but is kind of annoying to have that extra step. I also wish they'd give IE a Forward/Back Button instead of using the hardware Back button. Would be nice for the URL to be on top & auto-hide, swipe down to show it in portrait & landscape. Make it thicker since it'd auto hide. Just my 2 cents on it.
Also, don't like them (MS) breaking homebrew native app (INTEROPSERVICES). That is a big deal for me. That's the main reason I'm not using the Beta2. The new features are nice, but the lack of homebrew kills it for me.

All my music was gone and my phone asked me to synchronise with zune.
Same for my pictures and videos. All was gone; nothing was left on my phone.

What can I say..? Would it be possible to release an update which makes me love my phone more?

It's very unlikely that an app update caused this trouble. I have had these issues several times, but not due to updates (be they simple app or complete OS updates) but due to a hardware failure on my device.
I never heard that update did something like this no matter what OS it is!!!
perhaps the update included tagging location places?

Not available in all markets
The Skype Beta seems to be limited to certain markets. I cannot download it in Germany. Hopefully Microsoft is extending the Beta to more countries soon.
EDIT: The Zune Link is not working, but the web marketplace link (from Skype Blog) is working in Germany.

I hope they can somehow use the ringtone when there would be an incoming skype call. This is what prevents tango from working correctly atm.

You can only download it directly on the phone. Zune on the Desktop only work for US users (because zune:// links don't support a locale parameter). It's not searchable in the marketplace either.
I recommend using the QR code in the official blog post.

So here's the app I've been working on for over a month (on and off, anyway) titled LockWidgets 2. As the name suggests, this is the second version of the LockWidgets application. This new version runs entirely in the background on the device thanks to some trickery, and thus can provide some nice real-time information on the lock screen.
The idea behind the application was to augment the lockscreen, adding data about the device state into the clean interface. While I still have a lot of work to do on the UI, I think the idea is coming together fairly well (more or less). In later versions, I hope to bring a nice mix between the sleekness of metro and the beauty of, well, chic.

Can you give more info on what "doesn't work" means? Several things can go wrong, are there any messages that appear? What exactly is happening?

Nothing happens. I set root privileges, reboot phone, in app i set SMS and Battery widget, i tried my own wallpaper from gallery and at second attempt Bing wallpaper, it wrote Agent fired but nothing changed, i have still previous wallpaper without widgets.

No exception messages? Hm... try disabling all widgets and see if it just changes the background

That exactly is I have titan on dymanics 1.21 too didnt seem to work but I rebooted and gave root then started app again and it works now. Thanks
Not sure which of those steps bumped it into place.
It doesn't work for me.
I gave it root access, I run the application, I press Save, it says something about a 'fired agent' and then I can read 'running'.
If I try to lock the screen and unlock it I simply can't see any of the widgets ... no battery, no weather, nothing.
Tell me what information do you need to have me providing you a more accurate feedback.

I think it has something to do with the latest fullunlock by ultrashot.
maybe you can test this on a custom rom (dynamics by ultrashot)

I have DFT Rainbow on my Focus, but I'm flashing it soon so I'll see if things change. There *could* be a glitch with the way that this full unlock works, but I can't say for sure. I'll give it a try and see what happens.

Just trusted it with Root Manager before use it !
When u develop work version for HTC Mozart and other device?
I have HTC Mozart Dynamics v1.21 ROM and doesnt work for me
I have Voluptuarys tango rom (ultrashot full unlock) and it works fine!

you can try 4 yourself...change device target/name to nokia lumia 800 in registry...in this forum u can find all u need...
but this app is really bad....a early preeeee beta

It supports both JS and CSS. Also, the DEV teams at Nokia respond really fast to feedback.

I tried it from Marketplace changer...but it said..won't work on a non Lumia...I guess the registry method should work !

Yeah change market and do a regedit! - NEED both for them to work.
However this app ain't worth it!

you make it sound like it costs money to try... but in reality only costs one's time. and even that, it doesn't take much of.
Yes, Xpress has loads of goodies which IE doesn't have. Still, not sure if I like Xpress beta or not. See the screenshot below.

Thanks. Fixed it by linking to imgur. Earlier, I was using email attachment. Didn't know that this forum doesn't fetch image and upload on its server like other forums I use.

the results may be fast, but you don't everything takes longer than usual [compared to IE] to load, so it seems slower. again, it is a beta, could be fixed in the final release.
Here's the xap. Of course it still doesn't work with any device other than lumias unless you change your registry.

this has been already discussed for Navigon.
It was allowed before it hitted the marketplace.
I've been using Xpress beta since a day. It's quite impressive! Yes, server-side rendering makes it slower than IE but it should be fixed soon. The interface is really neat, feature-rich, quite better than IE's barebone interface.. I love the magazines section, neatly divides a site into articles. My live tile shows 87% data compression which is not far from claimed up to 90% compression. Impressive!
So, how much I liked it? This much that I already stopped using IE and am now using Xpress beta as my regular browser on phone.

No, it doesn't, you're wrong.. Take a look to the attachments (sorry, can't make better screenshots from my locked Lumia 900).
WP_001430.jpg - it's how the web site (very simple css and java script) looks on Pocket IE and (very same as) on many other Windows, Linux, OSX, iOS, Android etc. browsers... (I've tested at least 8 different browsers).
WP_001429.jpg - it how it looks on Xpress. Can say, completely nonfunctional and nonworking.
