Does anyone know if in the GO launcher app drawer its possible to have blank spaces on each page of the app drawer...? I like to organise my apps by category on different pages. It's possible to have less than the standard 16 apps on one page in the default samsung application organiser. and in iOS which what I've made the move from... so I really hope it's possible in GO launcher too!
Thanks

Much easier to just create folders dude.
Games
Tools
Then the rest of the samsung and ROM garbage just in the main draw
I have another question about Go Launcher EX, which i thougt i could ask here.
Can you remove the top of the app drawer? By that i mean the: All-Recent-Running
I love Go Launcher but the top of the appdrawer is just ruining the sweet look

Yeah I do have folders, but I still split them up... eg. I'd have a page for games with folders called card games, sports games etc. and then a separate page for all work related apps, news apps etc
I guess I'm just trying to be compulsively organised!
Would love list view. Possible?

yea i know, and am using go laucher ex for time being but its not the same thing. se home is fast, sleek and clean. if i could add folder to prevent the launcher getting too crowded, it would be the the perfect home launcher, for me at least
thanks for answering though
Not sure what you are exactly after but what I did is created a folder on home screen, move all my applications to that folder and drag the folder to the bottom bar of the phone....
You can add folders to the pulldown, but if you're talking about a folder appearing when you press the menu button then I'm not aware of any mods for that. Folder organiser app lets you create a customized shortcut to a folder if you're looking to do that. Not sure that's what you're looking for, tho.

I have many applications and games and this can be kinda messy in the applications menu. Is there anyway to organize them into individual folders or perhaps at least arrange them manually instead of sorting them alphabetically or by date? The menu>edit tabs also seems to not be working as all i see is a blank screen with the top saying press and hold icons to rearrange.
You would need to replace the Sense "Rosie" launcher with a third party one to get that, I think. The app drawer is part of the launcher and the only way to change its behaviour is to replace it.
Folder Organizer might help you. Mine is a paid version, but there is lite version for free.

You can drag one application icon over another and this will change it to folder. The folder can have 4*4, 16 icons. This was you can organise the apps in folders.
That's on the home screen, though. I think he was asking about folders in the app drawer.

I do not believe that this is possible in the app drawer without a specific app though.

.... sorry, was posted before.
Go Launcher EX kan do this.
Make folders in the App drawer.
HTC Sense can only make folders on the homescreen.
All of these options require it to overwrite or disable sense right?

Yup - Sense as in the launcher and widgets. You wouldn't lose the Sense apps like camera or contacts etc.

Sorry, this is such a simple question. But it seems that anyone wanting an answer to this question has not found it entirely. I want to do this to shorten some icon names due to shortage of space, etc. Or maybe just a more descriptive label (ok, maybe just to me ). I mean how hard can it be? I just want to change the text, not the icon. I'm interested in procedures or apps. If you can help me, thank you.
Have you tried go launcher
From the 2nd galaxy

Yes, Go Launcher allows you to rename your app icons. It's an awesome launcher in terms of customization.
On Nova it's a long press and hit edit. My favorite launcher btw...
edit icon labels

Any help at all would be appreciated...

Wow, that worked, "S Planner" now is Calendar. (How the name change to S Planner got thru qa I dont know).
Next bit of the problem is that I have shortcut icons that when pressed ask for which browser. In desktop visualizer I need to pick the application. I cant find the 'shortcut' app. Hope this makes sense...

handy app to have, thanks for that
Hi,
My previous device was Galaxy SII and after moving to Galaxy Nexus, there is one feature that I miss from the TouchWiz.
In the TouchWiz launcher, there is pagination in the App drawer, and I can click the dot to move to a particular page of apps. Its missing in the stock ui and I end up swiping pages to select a particular app. I know I can do a quick search, but this would be faster IMHO.
The Go launcher has this feature but I dont prefer it because I'll have to use their widgets and all, and last time I used, it was not really responsive.
Can anyone suggest an alternative with pagination support?
Thanks!
Not exactly what you're looking for but with Nova Prime you can have folders in the app drawer. I just categorize my apps in to 1/2 dozen or so folders & they are all accessible on the first tab in the app drawer.

I dont want to create app folders and curate them as I install more apps...I just need a fast way to open a specific page in the app drawer....like touching the third page dot, and I'll be in the third page, skipping second page.
I was wondering if there was a way to run a launcher other than TW but keep TW's style for applications rather than ICS's. I don't like having ALL apps in a complete list/grid. I like having multiple pages to organize specific apps to specific pages iOS/TW style and having a page for folders containing rarely used apps and other folders with apps never used (ie. settings; i use menu shortcut usually). I don't really like the hide apps way to do it. The themes I have come accross adw/nova launchers are usually the home screens...have I just not explored deep enough? TIA.

Thanks. I found folders in Nova launcher but is there a way to do a Customizeable Grid? TW offers your typical ABC grid, ABC list, and a Customizeable Grid. This allows me to put all my games onto a page, all my chats onto a page, all my groupon type apps onto a page, etc. Of course I could just put them into a folder but for semi frequently used apps, I want to just have pages customized with them.
My wondering is if fl16 laun her could rotate

If you use groups instead of folders it puts the apps on tabbed pages like the app/widget tabs
