Is there a way to make the Evo wake from sleep and turn the screen on when receiving a text?? I'm running CM7 btw.
Sent from my dope fly fresh EVO
I don't believe there is a way built in. There are a few apps in the market that will do it tho. I used to use SMS popup and it worked.

I use Handcent. It now has Su permissions and you can back up on their server too.
If you party with tasker enough I'm sure you can find a way to make out happen.

I guess it is just my phone, that makes my camera doesn't work with any Rom, it work for a while and then it stays on black screen, man I'm getting use to it
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA Premium App
Dude, there has to be something you're doing wrong to cause this as we figured out last time it does work. Unroot and reroot again for peace of mind. There's no way your phone's camera just doesn't want to work with rooted roms. Let's take a pause and figure out what you're doing to break your camera. If its a black screen then that's good; if its pink or yellow that's not good.
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA Premium App
Na its just black, it was working today since the morning but, then when I went to use it like at 5pm it stays black I get so.mad LOL but damn idk man wth is this
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA Premium App
I've told you this in another thread man. Download your rom again, wipe EVERYTHING and run it with the stock kernel. Once again, if it works on some roms I believe there's something that you're doing man. Your camera is clearly not broken so let's get to the bottom of this. What's your set up?

No im not running another kernel, and they said Netarchys kernels brake the camera on this ROM
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA Premium App
I'm looking into this rom now! I'm downloading it to see what's the deal. If I remember you have a 0003 and I have a 0004 so our phones should be pretty similar in hardware ; not including what type if screen you have a nova or epson. Gimmie like 5 or 10 mins im going to test it for myself.

80% done! About to flash in a sec. So what exactly isn't working for you? Camcorder supposedly force closes for everyone and camera is a hit or miss. I will report back in a bit.
Edit: you do know that this is a work in progress for sense 2.1 so not everything will work perfect. If you're looking for a "perfect" sense experience you might have to just use a froyo 2.2 based rom.

Yes I did. I booted up about 5 mins ago and my camera is working. No blk screen man wtf lol. Why don't you try getting a logcat. Do you know how to use adb? If I were you I'd get a logcat started then let it run and try to open the camera app a few time while the logcat is running. After you do that I would post it in miks thread so many devs can look at it to diagnose what's going on!
http://android.modaco.com/content/t-mobile-pulse-pulse-modaco-com/318192/logcat-a-guide/
Here hausx just posted this in another thread. Run adb from your comp.

If you can get a logcat. It's 'adb logcat > logcat.txt' to do it, run that and end it by pushing Ctrl+C to stop it.

Logcats will tell devs why its black screening man. (Get the logcat upload it to pastebin.com). Logcats are very long but pastebin will take care of that.

Actually I froze with root uninstaller.
But I'm sure ether one will do fine , you can even just delete the apk since handcent doesn't depend on the system messaging app

If u get widget locker:
It allows you to use the notification pulldown while locked. When i started using handcent i missed that slide to read. but now i can just pull down the pull down and click any notifications
Also if u delete the stock mms. It makes MMS not go through.

There's an option in handcent to handle both mms and sms.

OK this is driving me nuts. I think there is something in FC09 killing it. I copied systemui, lidroid-res and quickpanelsettings from Legendary 2.2 (after trying to recode first) and it still only has 12 toggles instead of 14! Those are the only 3 files that are involved. Tiny Flashlight app on your homescreen fixes all...lol.

I spent about 3 hours on it and realized it is a lot for a stupid flashlight toggle when Tiny Flashlight is on my homescreen. I don't know what they could have done to make it not work on EL30 or FC09. It works fine on Legendary 2.2 though. I flashed Zanderman's MTD file and boom it was there.

My phone often does not vibrate when I receive a text and I often have it with the screen facing down. I know with useless iOS it is possible, so I would assume my droid can do it as well, but I have now idea how to do it...... Any ideas? I am running CM10. Thanks
