I'm sorry if this has been brought up before. I am new to the forums but have been following the forums for a while.
I have a rooted HTC Incredible (2.2) and I recently ordered a bluetooth keyboard for typing and playing games. I have been reading about how HTC phones do not use an updated bluetooth stack.
After coming across that, I started searching for a solution. I have been searching for weeks and still haven't come across a definite answer. With that being said, does anyone have any information on how I would go about updating the bluetooth stack to a stock Android version so it is usable with the new keyboard?
Thank you in advance!
So, I recieved my keyboard today and of course, it doesn't connect. Now, the weird thing is, is that it claims to be compatible with Android 1.6+. Doesn't HTC use a Bluetooth stack from 1.6?
Any help would be great.

I can not thank you enough.

Hi,
Attached is a build of Honeycomb for DesireHD, I managed to find this by browsing the net and take no credit for creating it whatsoever.
I'm hoping one of our more clever members can do what needs doing with this to make it work on our beloved HD2.
Thanks.

Nobody is interested? Or is it a fake? Can anybody (with the right skills and tools) check this please.
???
Are you serious ?! someone can verify that build or can you make some screenshots ?
Could be, but dont know if his link is trusted.

Also wrong section.
honeycomb is not really made for phones as I understand?

Yes that's what i read
but hey
DFT can make it a reality as usual XD
If you check the link in my post, ist already ported and working.
There is a video there to, its a Dutch site though.
Yes its ported to EVO & is working..!!!
PS: - I haven't tried yet though
The LINK
[ROM-DEV] ||Honeycomb on EVO||Alpha||SpyderComb||Honeycomb Android 3.0||2/17/2011||
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=957842
It is a genuine link, I haven't tested because I don't have a desire, I have seen video footage of it running from the same source and I have inspected the file which looks about right to me, just needs correct drivers and repackaging I believe. If only I knew how to do the repackaging and which driver files were needed I would do it myself.
Yup this is built for tablets and not phones but there are a few tablets with screens not much bigger than our hd2's. It may not even be practical for daily use but I'd love to have a play. : )

May be we can have a working one on our HD2's, can't say, DFT & the cheifs here ROCK..!!!
I like the lock screen & the home screen, it a really an evolution from the older Android Versions..!!!
So hope we get a working port pretty soon..!!!
here's a video for DesireHD release..

I know that mdeejay or one of the other devs on here could get it working in no time, I just don't have the knowledge, fingers crossed.

the expert cooks should be working to port it to the archos tablets
Booted it on my HD2, but... it lags, nearly nothing works by now etc, and it's hard to hit interface buttons... not sure this will be really useful, but I'll try to work on it
Don't ask for upload please...
Can someone point me in the direction for a tutorial for creating clockwork mod roms please?
this would be probably better suited for viewsonic g tablet
Probably, would still be fun to play with on my phone though.

I haven't had any fun
Nothing really works, sdcard mount, wifi, radio, bluetooth, etc etc, even some buttons are not properly mapped, so i couldn't turn the screen off, i haven't took a closer look though.
Default launcher, and some interface parts lag SO much
But this will really take time, cause everything should be fixed, and cause it's still preview SDK - not really worth it.

I'm not a ROM developer so sorry if this is a dumb question, but is there any way to port kernels from another device? Or at least, the bluetooth stack? My friend has the Epic 4G Touch (Sprint version of our phone) and he has both MHL and a AOSP bluetooth stack on a Touchwiz ROM, which is what I want! I want to hook up my phone to my TV through HDMI for emulators, but none of the ROMS that we have so far are compatible with Sixaxis Controller or Wiimote Controller. Currently we can't have both:
Use MIUI or CyanogenMod 7 and Sixaxis works, but no MHL
Stock rom, MHL works, no Sixaxis
For what it's worth, this is the kernel he has flashed - http://androidforums.com/epic-4g-to...6ghz-oc-quadrant-4000-acs-pre-rooted-cwm.html
EDIT:
Update!
I just checked the market and it looks like the developer of the Sixaxis Controller has updated his app (yesterday in fact) so that it works with the Galaxy S II now. In celebration, here's a video of our little device playing some N64 with a Dualshock 3 - http://youtu.be/KOwQ9lqwgFQ
Subscribing to this thread for sure!
this is old news!!! its been working ever since we got cm7. i posted about this weeks ago and i already have it working with my ps 3 controller
But what the OP is saying is that with the new update to the SixAxis controller app you can use it with the stock ROM, which is the only rom that supports the MHL adapter streaming to your TV.
With CM7 you could use the Six Axis but weren't able to mirror the game you were playing on the TV.

To add to this, SixAxis controller has worked for AOSP roms (including, but not limited to CM roms) since the beginning of time. CM roms incorporated the correct BT stacks needed for SixAxis to work properly. Stock roms, for the most part, did not. I'm guessing the dev was somehow able to bypass the need for those specific BT stacks. I wonder how far the compatibility spectrum goes, now? 2.3?
i assume pairing the Sixaxis controller with BT is required?

Yea, that's not the point though. It finally works on the STOCK rom, so now you have HDMI out capabilities as well. CM7 and/or MIUI doesn't have MHL capabilities.

Yep that's correct. When you run the app, it will show your phone's bluetooth MAC address. You then plug the dualshock 3 to your computer and run a pairing app that will let you change the MAC address that the controller is paired to.

I think I read somewhere that at least Froyo is required, but don't quote me on that. I know the app works on my HD2 when it was at 2.3.2, so it goes back that far at least.
How many controllers can you hook up with this app?

Does anyone know if this will work with beastmod 4.0?
Also anyone using an aftermarket ps3 controller or does it have to be original?
Can anyone chime in?
Sent from my SGH-T989 using Tapatalk
The app will work on all Roms that our device supports (Beastmod, Domination,CM 7,etc) but not sure if it will work with third party controllers. In theory it should though!
So I got it working, but i'm running into a problem. For n64 emulator the right analog stick it keeps triggering c-right while still working as a right analog stick. I've tried tweaking the keymapping but obviously i'm doing something wrong. Any ideas??

i have seen videos of this app working correctly on t-mobile samsung galaxy s2... mine is the white one. not that it matters... when i run it it says failed to configure bluetooth... then 2nd attempt says cant bind pipe for device... what do i do to make this work...
just emailed the developer because my friend has the same phone and it works fine on his... the only difference is the color of our devise... he has black and i have white... but the dev said that it is a known bug and he will be releasing an updated version in a couple of days... so if you have a t-mobile galaxy s2 and it is giving you these errors,.... just wait a few days because a fix is on the way as per the dev. hope this helps someone because there was nothing else on the internet about my issue.... all were reported to be working fine... and mine was not...

Are you and your friend using the same rom? Maybe your rom didn't have the correct Bluetooth libs?

Umm.. always had sixaxis compatibility? Twas 1 of the reasons I got the GS2, that n my foldable BT keyboard xD..
Worked on GB wit no issues, n usin it since I first installed ICS... donno where u got ur info but its incorrect, as for MHL, can't verify, don't got the cable, can't buy here yet n never looked at importing. But to say Sixaxis don't work on stock is a load of bull, either that or my ps3 controller is magic xD which would suck, gotta get a new 1, right anolog is startin to go loose, n I donno where to buy another "magic" controller that obviously shouldn't work in the first place as per your statement.
Hi yall. Ive looked all over the net for a way to get the ics(sonys version) music controls on the lockscreen/notification panel. I can seem to find any one/threads on this. It would be deeply appreciated If some one could point me in the right direction.
cheers, Mocool05
You can find lots of lock screens in the android market which have music controls on it....
But Why don't you flash an ICS rom itself...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1599269
this ones really good...i m using it currently and it really works nice...good battery life and gives awesome performance.....
Analog Sticks
I did Flash it.. but the analog sticks were hardly responsive so i flashed back. I really miss the music tweaks though
Yeah...gaming is a bit problematic in ICS. Thats the main reason why sony cancelled out the ICS update for play...there are some bugs...but the developer -- Nick is working hard on it....he is about to release a version 3 in some days...i guess it'll be more stable...wait for it...till then enjoy v2..

1st of all too the mods. If this is in the wrong place im sorry.
PSX4droid v2 1.1.2 works on my Sony Ericsson Arc S running (Gingerbread) 2.3.4
going to experiment with the non v2 versions to see if they work however i have used 3.0.4 and it ROM looped.
Now then some of you may have seen my post in the X10 Mini section a while ago well iv written the phone off and dead beyond repair now and got my gf a Sony Xperia U (ST25I) running (Gingerbread) 2.3.7 how ever this phone will be updated to (Ice Cream Sandwich) 4.0 at some point.
Now PSX4droid v2 1.1.2 works on the Xperia U but as soon as you load into the game and move from the spawn/start point of any game it force closes. PSX4droid v1 3.0.5 on the other hand works fine appart from the hide system bar setting dose not work.
BUT...
There is something going on with the multi-touch on this phone. Example when playing CTR(Crash Team Racing) while holding x to speed up you can turn either right or left only once then it will not pick up the touches after that untill you release the x button.
As you can imagen this has made playing any game that requires you to press a direction button while pressing another button impossible.
Is there any quick fixes for this? bare in mind the phone is only about a week old and i don't really want to go rooting it yet. Iv had my Arc S for 4 months and im just starting to throw the idear about for rooting that.
Any help would be great as ever sins sony did away with ericsson i knew the mobile's would suffer in there quality.
off topic but i said this to someone the other day and i thought someone on here might like it to.
"Sony Ericsson did stuff right 1st time so all we had to do was enjoy the product. With Sony on the other hand we end up fixing there problems. AKA PS2 lazer power problem, PS Spindle failure, PS3 Yellow LED of death & Blu-Ray drive sticking, Sony Xplode car stereo's need rewiring before they keep there set stations"
Is there an issue with multitouch when you're not running the app?

yes i just tested with Multitouch tester app off the market and if i touch one place then touch another it works but if i hold in one place then touch another it works only once. After releasing the finger i touched with and keeping the one im holding down it picks up no more touches.
