[Q] Facebook, Twitter widget like from HTC? - Galaxy S II Themes and Apps

Is there an app that'll give me a widget showing all my Facebook, Twitter and other social networking sites' updates in one screen? I used to enjoy the one from HTC Sense, so I'm wondering if there's one for the general Android environment?

LauncherPro Plus has what you're looking for.

^^^^^^^ Got it in one.

Is this available on the marketplace? I can only find Launcher Pro. Is that the same thing?

Yes its a purchased app, it replaces your home screen too, which has alot more features themes etc can be well customized to look really nice unlike touchwiz which you can't do alot with, once purchased Launcher Pro Plus Unlocker set Launcher Pro as default home and then menu key LP setting/account and your accounts choose sync times and then long press add widgets FB Twitter

Using Colorize too. It's brilliant.

Yes, but colorise widget (which i have previously used on sgs2) only has separate fb and twitter widgets. Launcher Pro plus has them both in a combined widget which is exactly like sense friendstream widget. It works perfectly too and has a semi-transparent skin.
Colorise works well too, but I just prefer having them combined as in LPP.

Free Calendar app

Is there a free Calendar app that has a 4x4 widget that syncs with google calendar...
Struggling to find one that works on my nexus
Stret
Personally I'm using the default Calender widget. You can resize it to 4x4. It's not as good as Simple Calender Widget but until that is fixed for ICS it's better than nothing.

You learn something every day, I did not know you could re-size widgets.
Ive succesfully done that but it just shows today, can you change the view to a monthly calendar?
Thanks though mate, appreciated
No prob. Glad to to help.
I don't see any way to change the display settings of the Calender widget though. Seems like it's stuck like that.

Have you tried Jorte? I don't know if it's updated for ICS yet, but it's my go-to calendar. You can display the whole month in a 4x3 or 4x4, with your calendar entries actually spelled out, instead of just a dot that you have to zoom in on to see what it is. Pure Calendar Widget also does this, but is widget only, and costs $2.99 in the market.
Android pro widgets is really clean.. Also it includes a nice timeline style widget with both Facebook and twitter!
I recommend the paid version.. Some good themes.
Edit: forgot I was still in galaxy Nexus forums.. Not sure if it is ics compatible.

Sense Friendstream type Widget

I am looking for a Friendstream like widget which works on stock ICS now scrollable widgets are enabled. It needs to be a 4x4 Widget that can aggregate at least both Twitter and Facebook into one stream and has an option to update now on the widget itself.
Sonet is the best I have found so far, before I buy the adfree version I'd just like some other recommendations.
Thanks,
Inq

Aye I bought Launcher Pro Plus a long while back, but I want to use the stock launcher.
The paid version of Colorize widget in the market has a widget called timeline which I believe us the same thing as the friend stream widget on sense.

You can try WIZZ - it`s designed for tablets, but also works on ICS
https://market.android.com/details?...wsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5zbm93YmVlLmNvbG9yaXplLmhkIl0.
Also Android Pro Widgets are great, and the paid version has plenty of Themes.
https://market.android.com/details?...51bGwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5yZHIud2lkZ2V0cy5jb3JlIl0.
Both offer way more, then only Facebook widgets and allow a unified (sense like) look with their variety of widgets. Nothing to do with Facebook, but works nice together with the other widgets.
Nice complentary stuff also is offered by Glass widgets (nice for Home screen)

I'm using Jorte which has several resizeable widget options for a full screen calendar.

Transparency is only good so far, wow. I dunno how you'd possibly read anything there, although your screenshot only shows the calendar, not events...
As for me, I use Agenda Widget for Android, which is very customizable and works good. I've used it for the whole time I've used Android, honestly never looked to see if there was anything out there better since. It has a list view (agenda, but you can do almost anything with it) or a grid view (calendar).
The good thing about it is that it supports a bunch of third party calendar apps too, like it can show (and create) events in Touchdown Exchange, etc.
Another vote for Agenda Widget. BTW, you must get paid version to be able to see calendar layout. Like previous poster, I'm not even thinking about trying something else. It's just that good. At least for me.

calender pad pro is worth a look , been using it for some time.
The events show up as slashes in the corners of the dates.

That specific calendar is APW widgets with the Lucid theme. Both are available in the play store, though to use themes you have to buy the pro key. I just set up that combo from the same pic you showed. It resizes well.

---- Missing Calendar Widgets in ADW Launcher ----

For some reason, the Calendar widgets that come with the application are missing in ADW Launcher. The only one that shows up is the simple Calendar widget that lists the upcoming events. They other 2 missing ones are the tan color full calendar and mini calendar.
Is it that they are only meant for Touchwiz? What can I do to get them in ADW?
Thanks in Advance!

You can try Business Calendar by Appgenix. It has several widget options, although not as nice looking as the TW calendar widget.

you have to try with stock calendar from google..
it's simple and graphically consistent with Android
I use Jorte for my calendar widget and have the Samsung calender shortcut on the desktop next to it.

Tw calendar is based on tw launcher we can't add it on any other launcher. It sucks but thats life. Ps for the future please for the sake of god!!!!! When we get cm10 we can't get any tw features. . Just fyi.. not say your doing this just hate seeing threads and post for the same thing..
But yeah even the weather and clock widget cant be added.. you can find other things to make it look cool. Its just built into the framework

[Q] Blink feed Htc Alternative App

Hey devs and android users! I'm new at this so I apologize if I've posted a New thread for nothing or it's in the wrong category
I have a htc one v and a galaxy tab 2 7" (GT-P113) and would like to know if there is any android app that can mimic the way sense 5 homescreen and lockscreen works on the new htc one, and just to be more specific I mean like the way you can see newsfeeds without widgets.
Does anyone know if there is such a thing?

The closest you'll get is flipboard or currents on JB, using daydreams, while you're charging. The rest of the android world hasn't caught up. Technically, YOU'RE probably the leading knowledge right now on this subject.
Do you mean to say I have the leading knowledge on the subject?
u can try taptu or pulse news from play store
But do they have widgets?

Then why are most live wallpapers interactive, there has to be a way to do this

You can try the feedly widget. I use it on my device to quickly run through headlines from my home screen. It can be resized and still looks good. If you're looking for social feeds, look online to see how to generate a RSS of your fb/twitter feed and add them to feedly.
I have used pulse and flipboard, both do pretty good job.

So... I started making such an app, after i heard my phone won't get the update to Sense 5. (HTC ONE S)
The app itself is going to be a launcher, similair to Sense 5 with Blinkfeed. But i'm not going to add news feeds and rss, Only social networks will be included.
More details coming up

so.ho launcher already does this
Sent from my One V using xda app-developers app
So.ho launcher hasn't been updated since December of 2013 so it is outdated. Also the benefit of having a launcher do what he is wanting as opposed to a widget is that it will look better. Exactly like what blinkfeed does. It is possible as HTC made sense 6 a launcher, so it is possible. And people don't ONLY want RSS feeds. I personally loved chameleon launcher but that was abandoned/sold.

I accidently froze/disabled HTC blinkfeed and now my phone will not load a Launcher. Can I flash the htc blinkfeed apk in recovery to fix this? I have a HTC Desire 816 running kitkat 4.4.2 and sense 6.0 (Stock)
Thanks
