Now that the actual RC is out on synergy...I'll ask again, is there any way to have the right rosie button do the default Personalize action? rather than what Rosie Settings tells it to do? any help appreciated. Thanks.
i'm not seeing that one in the rosie options, if you go to settings and go to rosie settings you can see what you can change it to.
I know that much...sorry I wasn't completely clear, I know you can change the settings, but I'm not wanting to set it to an app, I'm wanting to know if I can have the button do what it's meant to do...as in go to the personalize menu.

no i got your post, was just saying that i dont see any way to set it to that(personalize menu). maybe ask myn in the synergy thread to see if he can add as a mod. sorry couldnt be more help
good question, i was wondering the same thing.
Soon as I get a chance I will redo Rosie to allow personalize screen. Thing is...it is either Rosie settings or personalize. You can't have both as of now.

I hate the slide up to ignore, down to answer "feature" of the EVO.
I'm rooted, and make whatever change needed. It drives me crazy to pull the phone out my pocket and realized I already answered the call w/out seeing who it is, or ignored on accident.

Do search for vanilla lockscreen.
I have it running on Fresh 3.1.0.2 as an update exclusive to Fresh, but I think others have it on other ROMs.

Widget locker is a good one. You can customize the entire lockscreen to your liking. You can even have up to 8 sliders with whatever action you want assigned to them.

Widget locker doesnt appear to change the swipe motion required to answer the phone? And I have the vanilla lockscreen - but that also doesn't change how you answer the phone, it just changes how you unlock it.
Am I doing something wrong here?

There should be a setting in popups I believe. It lets widget locker handle an incoming call. Go to settings then popups.

When I hit the menu button, the menus come up but without any labels. If the only thing there is text, then the nothing shows up in the menu.
Labels are visible everywhere else; home screen, app drawer, etc. It is ONLY when I hit the menu button that I lose them. When I tap the actual menu item that I want, the text appears, but that's a little late to help.
Any idea how to get the menu labels back or what might have turned them off in the first place?

Solution
In case anyone is interested, the problem turned out to be a theme applied through metamorph. I replaced it with a different one and the labels are back.

the app on the market but it dose not work. If anybody can help it would be greatly appreciated.
Me too. I'd also like a way to undim my screen with the power button. My top button has just about bit the dust.

Not sure I can help but don't understand the "I want menu unlock". Can you explain this better or in a different way so I get a grasp on what you want to do?
When i had Fresh rom I would remove HTC lock screen and would be able to swipe the screen to unlock or push the menu button. It seems like everybody is disabling this.

This is what I would try first after doing a nand backup of course!
Click on the paperclick by the Fresh Rom post and download "Rosie.apk". Install it and should overwrite the one Mik uses. This might give you what your looking for.
However, I could be wrong and it may just change the theming. But easy to return to what you have now with quick restore. I found a zip to add this feature but it was for Fresh on the Hero (which is where it originally came from). Not sure if it would work for the EVO.

Just download the "Remove HTC Lockscreen" and flash it. Will give you the Vanilla Lockscreen and allow unlock using menu button according to thread.

Did not work it was disabled in the rom or the theme. If you look at the rotary lock screen post he disables it. I do not have that mod just an example. Some roms have it some do not. It has to do with the vanilla lock screen. With the theme I have he says to rename the HTC lockscreen app. witch lets the vanilla lock screen work.
Well as the title says..
I detest the CRT Animation for Gingerbread and I want to get rid of it.. In fact delete it from my life forever.
I know you can go to "Settings > Display > Animation > No animations" but that's not the point.. Because I want some of the animations, such as the transition between apps (the way it jumps out at you, or falls away from you) but you can only have that when "All animations" is selected, which I don't want all animations, quite obviously!
If there's anyone out there who knows how to get rid of this, I'll be much appreciative.

You should flash the last version of your rom, in settings you can select and unselect CRT animations
Edit : I didn't know that you are on Oxygen Rom 2.1.3, I didn't use this rom, I can't help you
What do you mean by "last"? As in, the latest version.. Or the one before 2.1.3?
I've looked in everywhere on the phone, yet I can not find it.
Disable all window animations in the display settings.
Use a 2.3.3 Sense ROM and you can turn it on or off independently of the other animations

Jep, if you install SpareParts from market and set 'Windows animations' to 'Fast' it stops showing..
Ok well, i'm using synergy nightly (6/14 as of last night) and wondering is there is any way to have the right rosie button go to the default "personalize" menu rather than whatever Rosie settings tells it to do? Any help appreciated, Thanks!
