Adding / editing a Exchange contact - Desire Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Does anyone else have problems with editing or adding contacts to an exchange account?
When I add or edit a contact, the only fields i can access is first and last name.
It looks like this is only a problem with exchange contacts.
I am using cyanogenmod-7.1.0-RC.

Problem with Google notebook.

Ok, this may be a sync prob. If I add new contacts to my phone as Google contacts, they won't save. I have added several times in the last 6 weeks or so, new contacts which appear to have been added to the contacts list, but if I try to use the contact a few mins later its nowhere to be found, as if its been deleted. Any ideas why?

Fixing permissions help

Hi, I used the fix permissions feature from ROM manager, and now for some reason all of my contact pictures no longer appear in my messages app, how can I fix this?
Thanks!

Are you referring to the facebook pictures that associate themselves with your contacts or personally applied ones? If it's the facebook ones, I believe I've read here somewhere that you have to remove the facebook account from the phone, re-add it and then do a sync again.
That happened to me... You have to go into contacts and reset every picture... Very annoying

[Q]G2 downloading emails already deleted?

Hi,
I'm comming from a blackberry and this email thing is a little frustrating. I've set up my ISP road runner email account and I keep getting new email notifications for emails that had already been viewed on the g2 and and deleted. I have set it up to delete emails from the server when deleted from the inbox. I had the same problem last year when I had my HD2. Any help?

anyone with feedback?
See if you can remove the updates to Gmail from the Market. It's a bug I had on my Gmail.
Are you using gmail? Else it could be you are just using a one way sync that downloads your email and sends your email but doesnt update status..

You have to create a separate contact and then join them.

Contacts question

So I send a lot of emails on Craig's List using my Gmail account. For some reason every email address I send an email to get captured by Gmail, and somehow ends up in my contacts list, and gets downloaded on my phone every time I sync after installing a new ROM.
Any Gmail experts know how to prevent this from happening?

Click to collapse
I'm def no expert on that but seems like its more likely a setting in your gmail than your phone. Log in with your computer and look through the settings on there.
