[Q]Help themeing Sense UI 3.0 - Droid Incredible Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I am going slightly crazy trying to figure out how to theme the Sense 3.0 3d Weather clock widget and the Rosie launcher bar and icons.
I used the m10Editor to de-compile them to change images but:
1) In the weather clock there seems to be no images for the flip or digits to change
and
2) When I change the Rosie launcher bar and all apps and personalize .dat.png icons and recompile they never show up after install.
All I am trying to do is reverse the colors of the clock (white on black) and the rosie launcher bar.
I first suspected that m10edit may not be decompiling all images or recompiling correctly so I reinstalled m10edi and tried again with exactly the same results.
Any thoughts or has any ones else been able to do this?

you have to decompile the fusion.apk. you will find 3 files... one of them is default something or other. thats were you will find your clock pngs and most of your rosie pngs. there is no clock tab, only the upper and lower. and the digits are all split in half.... here are a couple i did already....

Think of your fusion.apk as your resources apk. thats were you will find most if not all your common files for your 3d widgets...

Nailed it. Got both my 3d clock and Rosie done.
I have been in there so many times for the lockscreen I never noticed the digits.
Thanks again

Hey Stoney/NilsP, are there XML edits or something to change the clock #'s?? I tried just the images, no go, but I was able to change the unlock ring color...
EDIT: Nevermind, it helps when you are editing all the files in HtcClockWidget...

Sure rub it in. You either found a sucker or payed a pretty penny.
I am still playing my black custom LP.
Besides losing family members my next closest depressing day was when my 1960 LP and Gretsch hollow body were stolen from my mothers attic along with a 20 year collection of Lionel trains.

What do you need?
Look at Launcher.config.xml for the 16bit.
Enable landscape mode:
- Open AndroidManifest.xml
- Look for
Code:
android:screenOrientation
and change it from "nosensor" to "user"

Already tried that but doesnt work.
whats the difference between the old TouchWiz mod ??
The font looks a bit too bold for the screen. & the icons are a bit too flashy. They don't carry the subdued beauty of the background. Just my thoughts.
sweet! nice to see someone is continuing this project, but i really think you should consider making a launcher as close to stock as possible with just the added tweaks. Speed, customizable default screen etc.
Keep up the good work!
I have managed to get additional locale to the gtglauncher without decompiling gtglauncher, but then again it is not perfect, and does exhibit a strange behaviour.
Whenever I reboot the phone, it will always force close once. After that, the launcher works perfectly, no force close or whatsoever. Landscape, portrait works just like as before.
pm me if you want to know the method.
Edit: The 1st time I tried is the 16bit disabled launcher, and it force closed. When I try the 16bit version, there is NO force close anymore.
Thanks a ton for all ur hard work. A 5 icon Dock and Landscape Rotation would seal the deal. Let the donation pour in to webstar to support him.
Just a suggestion, it will look much nicer if you remove the backdrops. Currently looks too cramped and cluttered.

can we use transparant png files in lockscreen background? if so maybe we can cut it to any shape we want and see the desktop behind?

Phone is alot more tempremental with big downloads. Often they time out.
Either try again or download from pc.
You can extract on your phone, I use linda manger or root explorer but i think
these days most file managers do it, just hold your finger on the zip and click
extract. It will then be in a folder called extracted.
anyone wanna try my latest little creation?

(I didnt make the wallpaper obviously)
Hoping someone can help out here. I did a factory reset last night and for some reason have lost a bunch of the stock wallpaper's.

[Themers Needed] Texture Hunt

Hey guys,
I am desperatly looking for a texture for more than 4 weeks now and I cant find it, so maybe some of you more experienced Themers might be able to help me.

The texture I am looking for is the greyisch one you can see being used there in multiple areas for example camera and menu. Since its used in many spots I thought it has to be in the frameworks. I changed many images and none of them worked. Maybe I overlooked some which I had to change.
Here is my worked on framework: http://www.mediafire.com/?yd7dompz4dcj5qo
The Rom is Paranoid Android 0.9b
I already asked some people in the tablet theming section, but well...the pointed me to files which dont exist for me or told me its a colour code in values, which I didnt find either.
BTW the power menu is completely black with the dialog one in the xhdpi folder. Most of the other menus too, but not the camera menu
Help is much appreciated^^
If its a texture, like a gradient or a pattern, find it in systemUI.apk. If its a single color, then its somewhere hidden in the codes!
Edit: oops! Just looked at your images closely. Looks like its just a signle color. Probably hidden in the codes
I think its the "dialog_middle_holo_dark.9.png, dialog_top_holo_dark.9.png, dialog_bottom_holo_dark.9.png and dialog_full_holo_dark.9.png" in the framework-res.apk.

no the black holo is already black and is responsible for the left column of the settings menu going dark. But the right one is the nasty one I cant find

Yes and I think I got them all.
I uploaded my xhdpi folder and I would much appreciate it if you guys would take a look and tell me which I overlooked -.-
XHDPI
I think I got all of the dark dialogs and pop up menus or the toast frame thingy, but none did the job.
What lets me think , that it is not hidden in the code is the fact, that the border is grey black grey. If it were hidden in the code that would be too much text if you would ask me, but I cant find a corresponding image -.-
Here's the theme i made for the transformer that had that image changed. I don't know where it is anymore, but feel free to decompile and look around.

[WIDGET]Sense 4 Clock v1 | All Launchers!!

Hey guys.
Here is the sense 4 clock ported for our One X, It has been resized and fully edited by me to look 99% like the real thing.
The only thing missing is the animation and the sense forecast style, you still get a forecast though if you click the weather icon.
You can use this in any launcher you like, Apex,Nova, GO etc etc..

Feel free to include it in your ROM's just give me a mention.

[THEME/UI][TUTORIAL][VIDEO ADDED!] DropUI | A minimal UI (updated: 15th Sept)

*Click image for high res. version.
It has been a while since I made a real homescreen, I had been using Windows Phone for a while before I got my Galaxy S3. You guys have no idea how suffocating those tiles were (But I still love the MetroUI).
So, I call this setup DropUI cause of the raindrops in it. I have this strange fascination about them, they calm me down. You might notice the edges have black spots, they're there so that the screen looks rounded too. Inside the screen is another layer (or I call it a base). The base has the nav, the dock and the folders. I had to include the dock inside the wallpaper and then use blank icons on my launcher cause 7x10 grid was a pain to work with.
I had seen many setups before I created this, the best and the most unique ones used SweeterHome which is a beta launcher and is clunky. I believe in functionality over looks so I chose one of the best launchers out there, Apex Launcher. (You can use GoLauncher too but Apex has some nice gesture controls.) I made most of it, I had to mash up two icon sets and add in some effects to them. (resources are listed below). Unlike most of the complex setups which make it really hard to change wallpapers, each of my homescreen changes its wallpaper automatically. I had to make couple of wallpaper variations but same wallpapers get boring after a while. The folders are made up of Simi Folder widget and the text is made up of Minimalistic Text.
