I am using the Samsung car dock with my Epic and using the Galaxy Dock Sound Redirector app to route the sound to my stereo's AUX port via RCA cable. I have been getting many complaints about using speakerphone on my Epic as the other person hears their voice echo badly back to them. To try to correct this, I am trying to also use a SCOSCHE motorMOUTH II to use for calls.
Even though I went into the Bluetooth options and unchecked "Use for media audio" all of the sound is routed through the motorMOUTH II. Is there any better way to make sure the media audio (music, podcasts, navigation, etc.) goes through the dock and only the calls go through the Bluetooth?
Have you managed to sort this? I am having a similar issue on my new HTC Sensation with media audio routing through bluetooth whereas I just want calls through BT.

Is there any sort of app that can redirect phone calls through a2dp. I can get a gadget that will allow me to contorol my media player and stream music over bt to an iphone dock but I also need to calls to come throuhg those speaker. A microphone isnt a problem as the phone has one that will work fine. What I need to do is have phone calls,if an a2dp device is present and connected use that instead of the phones speaker. Otherwise I have to go buy a BT radio for my car. (which comes with an ipod dock but no bt)
you might could just use an auxiliary input to get just the audio out. Pretty sure you can't use a2dp for phone calls.

If the BT device has the headset profile you should be able to receive calls on it, many BT enabled car stereos and BT headphones are able to carry A2DP, AVCR and the headset profile.
I want the same for my Blackberry A2DP gateway in car
I have a blacberry A2DP gateway in my car that connects ipads, htc phone and iphone to the stereo input of my car sound system. The sound quality is excellent for all uses but the incoming phone calls are routed via the phone internal speaker unless I plug a second stereo cable into the car input jack.
Can I get htc hd2 windows mobile 6.5 phone mono into this gateway device to avoid having to connect a stereo cable to my phone output? It connects to the HTC as stereo audio only.

So in other words, the answer is no,there IS no such app. As I said,I can buy a gadget that will connect A2DP to a I-Pod interface. It does NOT have headset profile.
I built myself a Desire HD / Inspire 4G dock for my car, with USB (for power) and and 3.5mm jack (for audio through car stereo). My phone is also connected to my car via Bluetooth for phone calls.
When I initiate a call through the car, no problem.
When I receive and answer a call through the car's interface, no problem.
When I make a call through the phone interface however, it defaults to using the "headset" (even though it's just a standard audio cable...no mic), and I have to manually switch it to bluetooth every time. This is annoying for me, and especially for those I call when I forget to do this.
Is there any way to force the phone to default to bluetooth for calls?
As an added oddity, when I place calls through the phone, my car goes into phone mode (it turns off the radio and displays the "dialing" screen) even though the audio is going through the headphone jack.

You can choose the default headset device from the car panel.
Thanks for the reply...but two questions
1) I can't seem to find where that setting is on the Car Panel...where did you find it?
2) Does the phone respect that setting outside the Car Panel app?
I am having a weird isssue. Just activated this phone and was using a Optimus S before this where everything worked pretty well but was slow.
I have my Motorola BT for hands free headset in the car. It's probably at least 3 years old but has always worked great with my tablets and other devices. I usually have my BT headset on in and a AUX cable in the headphone jack. I would play music from Google Play on my stereo and incoming/outgoing calls would automatically be routed to my headset. This all worked fine on Optimus.
I tried the same setup on my ET4G and when I try to make a call over BT headset I get no Audio in my headset. Also after that any music I play on Google Play, Pandora, etc doesn't get output to 3.5mm Aux jack. I pull out the headphone jack and no music is output to the external Speaker. It's as if the ET4G is possibly trying to output to my headset and doesn't let audio thru. However I don't hear any music thru my headset as it doesn't have A2DP.
A reboot will fix the 3.5mm jack and external speaker.
Any suggestions?
If you haven't already done it, go into BT settings, click on the settings for your device, and uncheck "Media audio".
The subject says it all. Can I route audio through Bluetooth A2DP and the phone's speaker simultaneously? I want to keep my phone connected to my car's audio system via Bluetooth voice and A2DP. But sometimes I want to switch to XM Radio or other sources. When I do that of course, I lose audio prompts from Google Navigation.
Is this possible?

I'm looking for the same thing. I can get audio through Bluetooth and have notifications go to speaker at the same time, but I can't get other media to go to speaker at the same time.
I would also be satisfied with a widget that lets me toggle the A2DP status of the Bluetooth connection on and off. It would not be the end of the world if I needed to toggle the A2DP off when I switch to another radio source and toggle back on when I go back to Bluetooth as the source in the car.

If you ask me I'd say it's possible.Whenever my phone is connected to my stereo through A2DP, the music is played through loudspeakers only by default. However, when there's an incoming call and my ringtone is being played I can hear it through loudspeakers AND the phone speaker, which creates a pretty cool surround effect. I'd really love to make my music player interact with all the speakers like this all the time. I took my chance installing various apps like SoundAbout to help me figure it out, all to no avail. Any ideas?
When I use the Bluetooth in my car, audio plays fine through the car speakers.
However, when there is a notification, the sounds plays through the car speaks and the phone as well.
Is there any way to have all the sound come via the car speakers only?
I have the same problem. Nobody have the solution ?
