Hey folks, how are you? I'm writing because I'm having trouble with having a shared calendar show up on my EVO.
My girlfriend originally had email A, which was her previous email address. I was sharing her Google Calendar with email A for months and it was fine. Recently she changed to email B for personal reasons, so after removing myself from the calendar on email A, she shared the calendar on email B with me.
Now, on my computer, I can see my calendar and her calendar just fine. However, on my EVO, I can no longer see her shared calendar. I'm running Cyanogen, and in the calendar app, I have her calendar set as "Visible, Synced" but it's not visible in either the default app or Touch Calendar.
So here's where I need help. Am I missing something that allows me to see shared calendars if email addresses are switched? I've tried forcing the calendar to sync in the settings, but it does no good. Therefore, if y'all could provide any assistance, I would appreciate it. Thanks!
Brian
Nevermind, found the answer here and it worked:

OK, here's the deal. My wife won't get a smartphone. And she refuses to use Outlook or similar desktop mail/calendar. She has her one Yahoo email address and is happy with it. Period. She keeps dates on a calendar in the kitchen.
I sync OTA with exchange through my office for all work related appointments. I then cable sync at home to add my personal calendar items. Is there an online calendar through Yahoo, Google or similar that is simple for my wife to use and would allow me to sync my wife's calendar to my phone as well?

Google Calendar would probably be your best option to bridge this gap for you
It's crazy simple for her to use (and for you to setup for her), and has quite a few sync options, including windows mobile...info on how that would work on your end are HERE.
Thanks for the Google info and especially the link. It's cool to see how people on xda go the extra mile to help each other. After reading your Google link I think I have realized that the limitation may be with Active Sync. It looks as if under the 'Configure Server' settings in ActiveSync there is only the optioj to configure one push account. Since I am hooked into my exchange server at work I don't see a way to also add the Gmail server settings as well.

That is correct (as far as I know), you can't setup GCal and Outlook to both sync to your phone's calendar separately.
However, what I was thinking of (and didn't do a good job of pointing you to...) is that you can setup GCal to sync to your outlook calendar on the desktop side, then when you sync to your outlook, whatever your wife has added to her calendar will be there as well.
Step-by-step HERE. Basically, you'd sync her google calendar to your desktop outlook at work, which would then update that on the exchange server. Whenever you synced with that, locally or remotely, you should get the stuff from her calendar as well. You can setup the GCal-outlook sync to be one-way only, so she doesn't get all your work stuff added to her own calendar.
Let me know if that would work for you...I don't really know of any other options for a simple calendar for her to be ok with, that will get her appts onto your phone...other than maybe just using opera to view the web version of her calendar..??
You can sync multiple accounts, multiple calendars to each account, etc, each winding up in their own individual category with ActiveGCSync.
It uses Google's API directly, so no activesync etc.. It can sync calendar and contacts, but honestly syncing contacts takes forever. Syncing the calendar could take 1-2 minutes depending upon how much change there is, but IMO not too big a deal for the flexibility.
I demand having each calendar in its own category so it shows in different colors and PhoneAlarm acts differently on it.. Am In in a work meeting? PhoneAlarm lowers all volume. Personal event's show up in a different color, etc..

Hi,
My stock email/calendar client wasnt syncing with my Exchange email after upgrading to JB. So, I have switched to Touchdown email client, where my emails and calendar are synced properly.
Now, how to get Google Now use this synced calendar for the appointment notification cards?
Right now, I don't get any appointment alerts from Google Now.
Is there any way to sync the Touchdown calendar into the Stock calendar?
Really appreciate any help here.
Thanks

NitroDesk has been fairly adamant about NOT providing access to the calendar database, and making it separate and proprietary.
I use tasker and the developer said the NitroDesk's NDA was so overreaching that he couldn't legally do anything to access the calendar.
Maybe Nitrodesk will change, but I doubt it. The requests to get access to Touchdown's Calendar database have fallen on deaf ears for
several years now.
Hi there,
I have an exchange account which I am synching to my Nexus, including calendar, tasks, emails and contacts. For calendar, tasks and email I am using touchdown which works just perfect. My problem is the contacts sync.
I am still using the stock exchange client to sync my contacts, however I would love to sync only a specific group of contacts. Of course I can just sync all and the not display the groups I don't want, but they are still there and are annoying in som cases. I am not using touchdown for this, because touchdown doesn't sync birthdays to the contacts app.
I tried moxier and roadsync. Both don't seem to solve my problem. I would be greatful if anyone had a suggestion for another app, a setting or whatever to solve my problem.
Thanks
hmm... almost a hundread views, but no reply. So I guess I am asking for something that doesn't exist.
I was in my work calendar from the email app on my work laptop and saw my wife's doctors appt. Then a personal lunch appt.
This has never happened before and I think it may be related to the fact that I am testing a few calendars.
How can I stop this? I only want events initiated from my work email to appear in my work calendar?
Thanks
Are you sure the events are stored in the work calendar, or do you have additional calendars selected to display?
I've yet to see calendar entries migrate calendars on their own, unless I don't pay attention to which calendar I'm actually adding the event to.

Hey all,
Alright so for the most part I love the phone, except for the fact that once I have set up my Exchange Account, It only allows me to sync the default calendar attached to the account. I can't seem to find the place to go in Color OS to sync the other calendars that I have set up. The calendar is synced to my significant other's calendar also, along with a few others so this is pretty important to me functioning.
Any of you wonderful people know how I can get the "Non-Default" Exchange calendars to sync? Thanks!
