Guys, I had installed CM7 RC1 on my defy and it worked well.
So I entered in the recovery mode again, to install google apps, but when the recovery mode opened, my defy switched off and when I try to power on it again, it stuck on the Motorola logo.
I already tried to enter in the recovery mode, by pressing the power button + volume down, but it shows a triangle with a exclamation point inside and the android robot beside.
What I can do now?
I'm thinking in send it to a technical support, wil they fix it?
PS: I found some related topics, but they don't solve my problem.
PS2: sorry for my bad english (I'm from Brazil).

When you're on this state. Continue pressing both volume up/down together and you's be in stock recovery. Either you could perform full wipe or just go into bootloader by pressing volume up and power on then flash again.
Thank you!!
I went to the bootloader and then I flashed my defy with an old .sbf file that I have here, now it's all working!!
im in same boat

as the title says the recovery wont boot using rom manager
it will either
1.) reboot loop 3 or 4 time before restarting or
2.) go to a screen with the android ad an exclamation mark in a triangle
i also can not manually boot it into recovery by holding home+ power
any advice is greatly appreciated
ps im a little noobie ish
press the HOME + POWER...
Once you on the "exclamation mark in a triangle" screen press the HOME + POWER key to get the recovery menu. As far I know this means something about the ROM signature not being there or something.. I'm just learning myself, but I have been there before... so you just need to restore the backup image and you should be back to normal. Good luck.
I'm unable to apply a custom ROM myself... everything works but a custom ROM... can't figure it out yet.

good job reading
i did say
"i also can not manually boot it into recovery by holding home+ power"
but thanks for the advice
I had just rooted my phone, having it in good condition for the previous 2 days. Suddenly it got restarted today, keep flashing at the beginning "android" text screen, when try to boot into recovery mode, only c the tiny android guy with an exclamation mark there.. pls help.. i dunno wat has gone wrong...
What did you use to root your phone ?
with superoneclick..
Did you try use volume up & down in the same time to enter recovery menu ?
When you see the tiny android guy with an exclamation mark, press vol up & down together to get recovery menu, press vol up or down to move the menu selector, and press the power button to select an item.
I rooted with superoneclick and had Pays ROM running perfectly fine on my phone, I just lost my network connectivity. I applied the 3g fix through adb push and then phone got stuck on the "android" splash screen. I can boot into recovery, and use vol up and down to get in, but can't do much from there. I can also access the bootloader by pressing power and vol up at the same time, but Ii'm not sure what to do after that. Any help is appreciated!!
EDIT/RESOLUTION:
I was able to use RSD Lite to flash another sbf to the phone after pressing power and vol up to get into the boot loader. After that, re-rooted with superoneclick, and reapplied Pays ROM - still no network connectivity though, so if anyone has an idea to get that back please holler!! I'm on T-Mo US.
Same problem here .. no operator service...help..!
Use defy baseband switcher...

Just install a .zip, following the tutorial, of ICS animations, I did everything exactly as shown (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1342117), then reboot and get stuck on the screen Motorola, forcing me to install the previous framework, reboot, still M screen, forcing me again, to reinstall the CM7.1, but still no results, stuck on the M screen. Now i flash CEE, but when it starts does not exceed 2 seconds on the display of "android" and starts again and again, I can't enter to recovery, I get no blue light when it starts, I can only enter the screen to flash a new firmware, but i flash twice.
Help me please, i don't know what to do...

have you wiped data/cache yet? looks like you havent, because if you did, you wouldnt get bootloop after flashing an sbf. enter stock recovery (when switched off, hold volume down, and then press the power button. hold them down till the m logo shows up. after that, a triangle with an android figure will show up, press vol up and vol down az the same time), wipe cache/data, and try again!

IT WORKS!!!!, ohhh, i totally forgot how to enter the stock recovery and the wipe after flash an sbf, thanks you, really.
I've recently got the JB update so I installed it, or atleast tried. Because when I try to turn on my phone again it gets stuck on the HTC logo (White screen).
I think somehow my battery went down during the installation and now I can't access my phone anymore.
It's a clean phone, no costum ROM and I haven't rooted it in any way.
Is there a way to fix my problem? (Preferably withour rooting it.)
I tried holding the power and volume down buttons and then selecting recovery but that doesn't work as I just end up getting stuck on the black screen with the Red triangle.

Try going into HBOOT
Hold down Power button & volume down buttons together when the phone is switched off. This will take you into HBOOT.
Select Recovery using the volume down button and press power to select it.
Hopefully it is able to recover and re-flash the firmware.

That is exactly what I did, but I ended up on the black screen with the triangle (As stated in my first post).

Doh missed that bit Sorry to be of little help. Hopefully someone else can proffer a solution.
if it's an unrooted phone, HTC have been very good at fixing phones bricked during OTA in my experience (2 day turnaround)
When you see the phone with the red triangle before you want to enter the recovery press vol - and the power button.....or at least the vol - button. Can't recreate it as i am on a custom recovery. You will bypass the red triangle and will enter the recovery. Maybe a cache wipe wil do, or a factory reset !

I've tried the factory reset be just like the normal boot it gets stuck on the HTC logo.
Clearing the cache might work but doesn't your phone needs to be rooted for that?

I cant recall if wiping cache is an option in the stock recovery !?
One can erase cache using 'fastboot erase cache' after getting the phone to restart in fastboot mode. See here and go to the 'Try this first' section. Hope this helps.

Sounds like hboot version problem with JB upgrade, what version of HOX you have? what version of hboot? , maybe we can unlock your phone and recover the system with custom rom and then rollback to stock rom.
Regards
I installed the latest Cyanogenmod 10.2 Nighty yesterday and it worked just fine. I rebooted it and got a cyanogenmod logo bootloop. I entered fastboot, then recovery and installed another version of cgm which was already in the sd card after wiping the data.
Now I can't even access fastboot. When I hold the power button with volume up or down it does nothing, sometimes it shortly shows the LG logo and then it turns into a black screen.
The only thing I can do is to access Download Mode by holding power+volume up+volume down.
Thank you for your time
