Help!!!! Rooting Epic 4G

Please excuse me for my question, im a noob. Can someone please provide a link to the drivers for the epic 4g and the link on how to root the phone? Please and thank you.

Epic 4g TOUCH Screen get's crazy when charging phone.

Does anyone else have this?
I am using the stock battery and stock charger.
Everytime I charge my phone I can't use it, the screen goes nuts and randomly selects things. I can hold a random black spot on the messaging app and I'll end up sending "asgf sjsov sovms hold bahaha ddofms" to my friend "____"
Is there a fix for this please help?
Me and my gf got these phones 3days and they are continuing to do this.

Its is because the stock charger... Find the thread and do a little reading..
Also please search about your problems for a few minutes before making multiple threads about them..

Its your adapter attached to your cord. I swap it out with my old htc evo adapter and the phone works perfectly now. well what a sprint tech told me to do in the store and has worked perfectly ever since

my first stock charger had no problems at all. my second one started doing this. people say its too much power going in as it is a rapid charger. I've seen old samsung captivate chargers do this too over time where touch input gets choppy. don't know how a charger could gain power over time. but hey, whatever.
I'm going into sprint today to exchange chargers.

App to check battery health?

Does anyone know of an app to check the health of your battery? I've had my DHD now for about 15 months,and with every new rom I'm trying to maximize battery life. But I'm wondering how good my stock battery is holding up. With laptops, there are apps to check the heath of your battery (recharge cycles,etc).
So,any suggested apps?

Cool thanks. I had seen that code before but I always thought it was just to take you to battery settings. I see my battery rates an 85 out of 100. I guess there's no point in buying a new battery?

You can ping WiFi check phone stats and stuff. Don't play with the menu settings tho. I did once and screwed myself.

I believe Battery Monitor Widget can show you the health too, it 's a good app you should give it a go.

[Q] Deep Sleep Questions

I have been running Mijjz-Goodness, for a week to stabilize the numbers, and I noticed by way of cpuSpy that my phone never entered deep sleep while on the charger over night.
Also, though the work day today, I noticed that not once in 7 hours has it entered deep sleep. Most of that time is explained by listening to Tune-in but what about the rest of it.
Which apps or functions are killing me here? I appreciate any input.

Ok tons of topics on this. Get betterbatterystats or gsam. Use it to find wakelocks. Your phone will not enter deep sleep while on charger. No need for it. The wakelock I will assume is happening is your media. You may think you have turned off the player but its still running in background waiting for input. If you are on touchwiz rom use the task manager and kill the process. If its not there then clear ram. If you are on cm9 or 10 or any aosp just restart the phone. Alot easier than installing a third party app to kill tasks.

That said, also try changing your wifi keep awake during sleep to never in advanced wifi settings if you have wifi on most the time.

If you have an animated battery mod it will not deep sleep when charging.

Yeah, maybe if the search didn't find every development thread and every theme & app thread because they include some really great keywords, it would be of more use.
I agree that reading through the threads is the best way to learn, but please realize that not all of us live here. In fact, some of us only have about 20 minutes a day to sift through all this wonderful BS. Besides, it gives everyone a chance to shine with a good attitude or to troll and be dismissive.

Seemed appropriate =p

A simple press of the menu button allows you to copy url. Copy. Push home button. Go to favorite browser. Input url. At the top click the part of the subsection that says epic 4g touch. After doing so go ahead and click on search this section(something like that). Then use some english and type in what keywords best describe your problem. Or for the advanced... go to google.com and search your topic with the words xda and epic 4g touch or e4gt. Once you have found your answer proceed to flash international tar in odin. Put it in the I didn't read slot. Congrats. You have a shiny new paperweight to give as a gift to that special someone.

Overcharging our sgw

Is there any app or any mod that will stop the phone from charging when the battery is full without unplug the charger? My battery is already overcharged. I'm getting a new one soon but I don't want it to overcharged again. Thx for your help

Our battery have auto cuttoff when it its fully charged .No worries

i think there is no overcharging for our phone. (for me) after full charging, my battery didnt become really hot as charging time.

Yup because our phone cut off the power from our electricity after our battery is full. So there won't any overcharging.
Pressing "Thanks" button will be much appreciated if user's posts useful for you

Does the function auto cutoff only available on the stock battery or it is by the phone? If i buy a new battery,will it still auto cutoff?
