Is it possible to delete a post?
Thanks
User right
No it seems not possible for users.
But moderators can do that.
I would like to request the possebillity/right to delete the own posts if a user wishes so, like it is possible in many other forums/boards.
vBulletin supports that feature anyway, a administrator should just enable it.
thanks and good bye
Thanks for the reply
Press the edit button at the bottom of your post. There should be an option to delete I think...

Maybe for you; certainly not for normal users.
Obviously I can...I thought users could too...apparently not.
I think we should be allowed to delete our own post, not other member's though

Is there a way to change my username? It's kind of annoying to have the @gmail.co in there.

Well,I doubt very much,it's not possible as there's no such option available in the 'Edit Profile' in the user control Panel, although there are other options available.
Perhaps,it created once and for all, you'll have to create a new username...
or maybe there's a way of which I'm not aware of,only a Moderator or a administrator can tell ?
Well how does one contact a mod or admin? If its really a big deal ill just make another name, id just rather not clutter things with unused names.

By default, such a thing is not possible in vBulletin.
You will have to contact one of the board admins and ask them to do this for you.
You can find a list of admins here by clicking "View Forum Leaders" at the bottom of the board index.

As correctly stated above, that's an admin task, best contact mikechannon about it or if you like I can pass it along (if not already done by you).
Don't forget to state your new user name, best check up front if it is still unused/available in members list.
Best
Contact mikechannon, he changed mine from flyboyovyick2k9 to flyboyovyick
It took a while but i think she has a lot on.

Lol
your name sounds really fun at least in Spanish
Dr. Nasty (poor translation)
Would it be better if a mod stickied a thread about username changing instead of so many threads with the same subject?
delete this

What do you mean?
sorry i button to ignore users who are total A holes all the time and or like to troll
Edit ignore list - this any good?
Hate to bump this thread.. but, I have taken Dave's suggestion. However, its a bit of a process to ignore people: copy paste the name, go into UserCP, edit the ignore list, go find my thread again.
If you could click a user's name and within the existing dropdown an option said "Add user to Ignore List" that would make it much easier to prune the nonsense. Thanks

Hi there. I would like to know if it's possible to edit a poll that I created.
I can't find it anywhere...
Only an Admin can do that.
Contact svetius or Mike
Mods can Close Polls, Edit the vote count, edit the Options text, or add options.
We cannot "reset" them though, so if someone has voted, they cannot vote again, not matter what the options are changed to.
So if you need one reseting, contact and admin as orb said.
If you just need amendments then any mod (including me ) can help.

Hello, all.
First of all, let me say that I did not make the decision to create a thread lightly. I have been a member of this forum for over a year, and this is my first post. I have looked everywhere, but cannot find this simple answer.
How do I thank a member for his/her excellent work? Specifically, I have been trying to thank twa_priv for his excellent Kindle Fire JB build, which I have been using fr the last week or so. I cannot find a thank button. I do not have permission to post in the thread; (which I do not have any intention of doing, anyway, unless I have a specific question or error to report) but, does that mean I do not have permission to thank? Do I need to spam away 9 more posts to have the right to thank someone? I read that there should be a picture of a flower (or, at least, there would be on Tapatalk, which I am not using), but don't see anything of the sort using Chrome on Ubuntu.
Thank you in advance.

Now that you have replied, the "Thanks" button has appeared on your and others' posts. I don't understand why it wasn't before, but all is fine now. Thank you!

Hey, and you even hit it. Awesome! Perhaps you just need someone to reply to one of your posts to activate it initially? I learned something today.
Give thanks
left side there is a thanks button
To activate the thanks button, you need atleast one post as a member...

And after posting sign out and back in. That is what worked for me.
And thanks to a.cid for posting how to be a new user. I read that a while back, before I ever joined xda. :banghead:

That's exactly the information I was looking for. The link was helpful, too. You may have noticed that I gave a disclaimer to my post. I have been using this forum for thirteen months without ever having posted anything. I felt like a total jerk for even having had to create a thread for something so trivial. I usually search and easily find the answer to any question, but was not finding anything about this. I am certainly trying not to be obnoxious to anyone. Thanks again!

We need more members who know how to search for answers. The fact that you made it 13 months without posting is impressive.
Thank you all for this post. Had I searched a day or two earlier, it probably would have been a lot harder to find this info.
Moved to About XDA section.
hopefully this solves it
I have the same problem. Hopefully this first post of mine will reveal the illusive thanks button

[GUIDE] How to be a New User (and not a noob)
Trying to be a good new user I searched for how to give thanks and found this thread instead of spaming other threads with "Thanks for posting" Appreciate the clarification on why I couldn't see the thanks button.
Thank YOU!
I actually joined this site just to thank someone who posted an updated app, but wasn't sure how until I saw this.
Feels like a lot of hoops, but hopefully it's worth it.
It's at the bottom-left of the post . I don't have it at first but after my first post , *poof* it's there and available XD
Thanks for the thread as I also want to be able to give people their just due.
Just in addition:
On Tapatalk and XDA app, just long-press the post you want to thank for, then scroll a little bit to the right in the appearing actions menu and select "Thanks" (may be in your system's language).
Enable thanks button by having a post
This is my obligatory first post to enable the thanks button. Figured this was the best thread to do it.
