[Q] Disable Lock screen when using car mount - EVO 4G Accessories

So I have a car mount that puts my evo in car mode when I use it. However if I don't use the screen for a while it turns off and to get back to car mode I need to use the lock screen. Unlocking the phone and putting in my password sort of defeats the purpose of car mode. Is there any way to disable to lock screen or keep the phone from sleeping while in car mode?
I'm using CM 7.

Go to settings > CyanogenMods settings > tablet tweaks there is a setting for disabling lockscreen.

Help! Screen turns ON in pocket after call is over

How do I turn this stupid feature off?
I'm sorry but why is turning the screen off if it is in your pocket a bad feature? You won't be able to see it anyways.
Settings > Display > Screen timeout maybes?
I'm an idiot
Screen turning ON at the end of the call - causes the phone to do what it wants (call other people, edit contacts, etc)
Before you put the phone in your pocket, press the power button to lock the screen?
Happens all the time. Just goto settings and use the additional lock pattern or use an alternative from the market. Make sure you select an easy pattern for one hand unlocking.

How do you disable auto launch dock mode

I keep getting either the clock program auto launching when I put it into dock mode.
I deleted it then another app starts in dock mode. I don't want to delete my tune app though.
How do I stop the auto launch in dock mode?
GOD THAT IS SO ANNOYING....

[Q] Disable auto lock screen

I've got a Galaxy Note 2 GT-N7100. Do you know how to stop automatic screen lock on Android 4.1.1? I can't download GTA 3 as the screen lock interrupts it's setup download process.
If you install widgetsoid you can do it from there. It allows you to extend the screen on time or also has a stay awake command. There is also a separate command to disable auto screen lock as well.
It's free. Have fun.

You could go to the settings menu, scroll all the way to the bottom, enter the developer options. Then check the box that says stay awake during charging. Then leave your phone on the charger so that it won't sleep while you are downloading. Please press THANKS if I assisted you.
Now I use Domination ROM which allows you to disable this in options. There is an app called Screebl which could be configured to solve this problem. It's an app that keeps the phone awake depending on the angle it's held at. Prop the phone up at an angle and problem solved.

How to use the tectiles?

So I want to use the tectile in my car. The setting is simple, I want to tap the tectile and my N2 will change into the drive/car mode. Also I want it to go back to normal mode when I get out of the car, do I need to set up another tectile for that?
The tectiles don't have a switch mode or toggle mode? I know nfc task launcher can make switches & toggles but I'm not sure of the tectiles app
So I'm using NFC Task Launcher and I set it to Drive Mode. And it works. But I noticed the settings will remain the same even when I tap it again. So in other words, I would need 2 tectiles, one to get it to drive mode and another one to get back to normal mode? That would be stupid and a waste.
When you select drive mode, does it give you the option to turn it on, off or toggle?
Edit: I see it does give you the option to toggle it. Select that option when writing to the tag. Should do the trick
im pretty sure you would have to make it 2 separate tiles because 1 tile changes what you want changed and every time you touch that tile, it'll do that until you change it yourself or use a different tile. your phone doesn't stay connected to the tectile, it just reads the comand and executes

Yeah. I figured it out by playing with it. I guess it's a way for them to make more money.

If you are using the current version of NFC Task Launcher, you hit the plus to add a new tag.
Select New Tag.
Add Enable Car Dock {Driving Mode?}
Swipe the screen to the left to create a Switch Tag and hit the Add a Task button.
Add the Disable Car Dock. {Driving Mode?}
Save and write.
Now the first time you do it, it will enable and the second time it will disable it.
I just created one to do just that.
If you have trouble, I can do screenshots in more detail.

That's pretty much what I did. I've written 3 tags so far. One for home, one for car, and one for office.
The one for home turns off gps, turns on wifi, sets sound profile to normal, loudest ring tone, enables auto-sync, and sets the brightness down to 20%. It also disables the lockscreen because frankly I don't need the lockscreen around the house.
The one in the car turns off wifi, turns on BT, turns on GPS, disables auto-sync, turns brightness up to 80%, sound profile normal, loudest ring volume.
And the one in the office turns off wifi, turns off BT, turns off GPS, disables auto-sync, brightness to 20%, sound profile vibrate.
This thing is just super fun. I have to think of more places I can put these tags on. I'm thinking of putting one in the bathroom to automatically turn on npr in the morning.
With NFC Task Launcher, there is "two tasks" so you can set 2 tasks with one tag. It's exactly what I wanted!
So I just set one for the office where: 1st Task: Ringtone and Notification goes to vibrate only. 2nd Task: Ringtone & Notification goes to level 5. So when I get into the office, I would tap it once and it will go into office mode, then when I leave the office, I tap it again and it will go into the "2nd Task"!
Also found out that you cannot use NFC while the screen is off! That's stupid. So I searched and found this but reading it tells me that it does not work for the N2.

Edit: ok found this thread and it might work with screen off:

[Q] B0F1 update breaks car home?

Does anyone know of a way around the fact the Car Mode now prompts you to select either Android Auto or S Voice each time it starts now, after the recent B0F1 update?
If I choose Android Auto, my Home button becomes useless. It will flash up a screen telling me to start auto in my car and touch the display (I don't have Android Auto in my car). If I install the Android Auto app, it essentially does the same thing.
If I choose S Voice, well, then I'm stuck with that crappy app each time I start Car Mode
While Car Mode was always rather limited on the Note 4 (lack of support for home button launching your car app of choice), it was at least useful for keeping the screen on. I use A2DP Volume to start Car Mode when I connect to my in-car BT. Before the update, Car Mode simply put the steering wheel icon in notification, and kept my screen on all the time (if charging). This was perfect.
Now, I have to choose one of 2 useless apps, which breaks my Home button.
In lieu of a fix, does anyone know of a simple, reliable way to keep the screen on? Most of the techniques I've tried in the past were unreliable.
Apparently, the fix is as easy as installing a "car home" app that registers as such...
I had Auto Mate installed, which didn't seem to register as a selection. I installed Car Home Ultra, and when I'm in Car Mode, I get the popup to select either Android Auto, Car Home Ultra, or S Voice.
Now my home button always brings up Car Home Ultra. So, they didn't make it worse, they fixed the broken home button behavior, *if* you have a proper home app installed.
Enable developer mode, there is an option in it to keep screen on while charging. Thats what I did.
Go to : Settings > About Phone
then tap "Build Number" until it flashes a toast message telling you Developermode has been enabled.
Then under Settings you will now see Developer Options, go into that menu and check the box for "Stay Awake"
SOLVED.
