I'm trying to get the latest google maps from the Market to work on my device, the problem is every time i start the app its very laggy and then force close, or the whole device freezes and reboots.
tried 3 different roms (MIUI, Oxygen, CM7) they all have the same results.
Maps version 5.7 and 5.10 works fine, but not V6+.

yes i have the same problem
using ic sunday
couldnt find a solution on www
i think i'll downgrade my maps application and see if it works....
Just a headsup - I was waiting for this upgrade so I can finally move to ICS. I checked the market today and it was there. Tried it on Remix 9.4 and works fine except that if you reboot your phone, you would have to restart it again. But definitely works with ICS!
9.4
did you mean 9.3?

I'm with R4. With [email protected], interactive gov and SIO is really fast and smooth without lags. This ROM works great!
Sent from HTC UzDesireHD
R4 runs on my Desire HD without any problem except GPS does not work. Already tried several things to fix it (reinstall ROM, full wipe, antenna exchange) unfortunately without any success. I hope this is just an issue with the ROM and not with my hardware...

GPS works for me on GoogleMaps, Navigon and Open GPS Tracker, but not for MyTracks. Maybe it's just the app you are using?

I've tried several apps incl. Google Maps, GPS Tracker, GPS Test, GPS Status,... all without any success. No reception at all.
When GPS is active, shouldn't there be an icon displayed in the top bar?
GPS Signals ... finally
I finally fixed my GPS issues!
The following description worked for me:
1. Download a stock ROM (DHD_WWE_3.12.405.1_STOCK_rooted_by_nitr00.zip)
2. Put the ROM in root folder of SD-card
3. Full Wipe (using 4EXT-Recovery)
4. Flash stock ROM via Recovery
5. If your bootloader is HTCdev unlocked don't forget to flash the stock ROM boot.img via fastboot
6. Reboot
7. Check with GPS Test (or similar) if you receive some satellites and if you get a fix
8. Reboot again to recovery
9. Flash JellyTime ROM
10. Flash G-APPS
11. once again-> don't forget to flash the JellyTime ROM boot.img via fastboot if your bootloader is HTCdev unlocked
12. Reboot
I get a GPS fix now in about 6 to 10 seconds. I am so glad!
Oppo n1 working with 5.1 cm12.1 temasek v10.2 21april15 release
i tried on my oppo n1,
i got it flash from the program called shua ji jing ling aka flash rom genie (most prolly a china based)
this is a potential for all n1 user to try the 5.1
the hiccups i faced so far
-the googleplay store is not inside, i still trying to get it to work
- the default camera apps can take one picture after that the shutter wont move the second one, im using the open camera for camera
- so far so good for the rest, will try to report back if i face any more problems or headaches
I didn't like this ROM. Simply because automatic rotation refused to work.
Alternatively, use Mokee, from www.mokeedev.com
Available for 4.4, 5.0, and 5.1. No major flaws with Mokee apart from the occasional camera problem. Comes with an OTA update app as well, which makes it a lot easier.
Just install Minimal Gapps over the top and everything is good.
thank u omicron
Will try when I have time n proper connection to dl
By the way, Xposed for 5.1 works pretty well with this, HOWEVER; It is NOT recommended to be installed.
With Xposed installed, you CANNOT update this ROM with the built in update functions. You have to download the full ROM and do a full wipe. Not an issue, if you don't mind doing it, but it does get irritating after doing it so many times.
two great and stable 5.1.1 rom for N1

I always do a full wipe before flashing a ROM. I tried most of your ports, but unfortunately the rotation didn't work. Good work with them, though, they are very high quality. I'll give them a go again.
Are you saying I need to flash a ColorOS ROM?

Ok thanks. Why is this though? Is it due to firmware?
What about the battery life? I tried it one month ago and the N1 seldom reached the night with a normal usage

Jepp, thats the last update for it.
It never got the Lollipop or Marsmellow.
But If you root and install recovery you can install this rom:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...0-xsm-t520-unofficial-cyanogenmod-13-t3466579
It's amazing and gave me a whole ''new'' Tablet.
Blazing fast, really good battery and stable!
That rom is much faster, using less memory and gave me more battery than the orginal TouchWizz 4.4.2 firmware!

Yes, do the steps from the TWRP recovery thread and install, TWRP and Superu.
Then you can just flash the rom and install gaps and restart.
Everything is correct but you might want to try android 7.1

Of course it's correct, I don't say things if im not sure about them
I went for the MM build because of some apps im using, both in Xposed and some banking things.
I have not tried the other rom, but people say it's stable and nice, of if you are not in the absolutte need of an MM build, try det Nougat....
I can just talj for the MM build since I have used it.
You can not go wrong with either of them :good:

Have been working perfect since day 1 here, no problems at all.
Try Nougat build then.
Home button is working, have to be problem with the newest Gapps. Mine are 4 weeks old.
As for the storage you just plug it in and drag down from top, then select tap usb for charging and select file transfer.
As for lock screen just go into settings and select lock screen then swipe, as always....

Nah, I see other people have this problem also, maybe it's the new Gapps, try this from orginal thread.
Maybe try this to fix home button, from orginal ROM thread.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...520-unofficial-cyanogenmod-13-t3466579/page35
All of the gapps should work, so have to be something wrong with them.
You just choose the gapps after how much of Google thingys you want installed.

If it's the same as MM build you just choose Themes in settings and shop themes.
You get redirected to Play Store from there.

Find an older version of Gapps, or do one full start after install before installing the gapps.
Have never run into this so I do not know.
But read about it in the orginal rom thread, maybe som other tips there.
Myself, I do not change to any 7.x.x bul\ilt before Xposed is up and running.

Very strange:
When you reinstalled, did you do a clean install, with advanced wipe in TWRP and wiping everything a couple of times before innstalling rom?
Also did these things work on first boot? When not having Gapps installed?
What should i wipe to clean install ?
