hi , i taken a couple of videos with my arc and when they are complete it has the thumbnail image to select the video
but when i press play on either video the screen goes black with the grey bar at the bottom with the fast foward button etc and plays the sound but there is no video
does anybody have a solution for this ?
any help will be much appriciated , thanks

hello to all the users.can someone help me with my xda executive.it does not play the movie in full screen mode.if i do click on the full screen mode picture area remains small and the screen around is black.

have you checked the screen size of the video itself? Chances are that if it's already been letterboxed (meaning black bars on the top and bottom), then the bars will remain visible when you switch to full screen mode.

unless the files is ATLEAST vga sized like 640x480 it will come as you have described... i think someone found a solution for the non 640x480 sized videos to work full screen on our vga devices...

I have problems about Video Playback. I'm using MIUI 1.5.13 Desire HD.
When u have recorded any videos and try to play/view, the video playback screen so little small in the center of the screen, it doesn't auto-rotate/full screen to horizontal or vertical if you rotate your phone.
No matter you rotate your phone to horizontal or vertical, the VIDEOS PLAYBACK STILL SMALL IN THE CENTER OF THE SCREEN.
Is there any way to make it normal video playback? or full screen.. Please i need your help..
did you turn on your autorotation in the notification toggle menu on the top bar?
Yes. I did turn it on and rotate 180degree too.. but nothing works on video playback it remains play with small screen. Auto rotate just works on messages and photo view on gallery /etc
when playing a video, and i need to take a screenshot, the screenshot is taken as a black screen. I tried defferent video players, but the screenshot is still black. any way to fix this?? thanks in advance
Use an Video Player than supports switching back and forth between Hardware and Software rendering. Choose the second and take your screenshot.

Recently Youtube App has been updated and i have got an issue - when I try to play any video - there is no video picture - black screen.
I can see all the UI elements like buttons or video progress bar, I can pause and play it again.... but only black screen instead of actual video.
I was able to de-install youtube app and install it back, i got video back but not for a long time, on the next day problem was back.
Is anybody else experiencing this issue?

Thats what i just came here to say...weird.
Also I noticed that "Exit" button didn't work, now it works as well
Did anyone else have problem with gallery video player.. When i play some videos, animated slider that follows time on video doesnt move. It stays locked on end. Like on screenshot. When i slide it with finger it moves where i want, but when release it, again stays at end.
It really bother with slow motion videos.
