Dolphin HD v6 comes out? - G2 and Desire Z Themes and Apps

I am using Dolphin HD v5.1 download from the Android Market.
But it says that HD v6 comes out? But can not find in market? Is it an update version of HD v5.1?

I don't know what source you have, but 5.1 is available in the market. Haven't seen anything about dolphin 6.

Scratch that. 6 beta is available in the market right now.

HD v6 is available on market. but you need a gmail account associated with Android phones to download it.
I would say the innovation of this new version lies in the Webzine feature.

G2 is one of the first Android devices to get Netflix. Available NOW!

Just read over at Lifehacker that Netflix is available for 5 Android devices as of today and the g2 is one of them. Supposedly available in the App Market but I am failing to find it. Not that I'd use it a bunch but it adds value to that $9 / month. Besides bored at the dr office or what not just throw on a movie.
Android coming to select Android devices
App works like a charm..finally! I found it in the epic 4G forum. I would post but don't think its possible with the mobile app

Finally found it after digging through the Netflix website. Installed but after it launches I attempt to start a movie and it trys to play and then just goes back to the main menu. No error or anything. WTF. Netflix states its only supported on G2s with 2.2 and I'm running cm7 2.3 so maybe that's the problem.
Sent from my HTC Vision using XDA App
They say 2.2 because officially the gb update isn't available for g2. But I'm running the stock leak gb from tmo and works great. Works great on my original stock 2.2 nandroid as well.

I have the same problem on a G2 running Virtuous (Sense). I assumed it was Sense but perhaps not since you have the same problem with CM7. It runs just fine on a stock G2 (wife's phone.)

[Q] g2 and instagram

Will the g2 ever be compatible with instagram?
I tried to download it yesterday, but is says the device isn't supported. Does it has something to do with OpenGL ES 2?

It does, CM7 uses OpenFIMG which is only capable with Open GL ES 1.1
To get it working on our G2's you just have install the apk manually

Well, I can download and install it allright, but it always crashes after taking a snap. OTOH, taking a picture with the regular camera, and postprocess the pic in Instagram works nice, so...

Thanks for the update, for me the UI is buttery smooth,
If I compare with the older Google play. And yes indeed the google books are incorporated in this Version.

I'm in India and my play store has itself upgraded to 3.7.13 without any initiatives needed from my side.
So, I guess it works in asia without a flaw.

Dolphin Browser HD 8.5.1 APK (Supports Flash)

Since Dolphin Browser HD recently dropped support for Flash on all Jelly Bean devices, including the Nexus 7, people have been needing the old version of Dolphin Browser HD for use with Flash. Well, here you are.
APK Download: http://dl.apktops.com/app/201206/Dolphin_Browser_HD_8.5.1.apk
If you need Flash Player, check this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1771463
Thanks
Thanks OP, very kind of you!
*Edit - Although Flash seems to work fine, when trying to go full screen it crashes out immediately. Currently Firefox does not have this problem.
This is great. I miss the pinch to zoom and the more functional address bar though. Not a poblem.
Anyway to tell the Play Store not to update it?

As of right now, no. I guess that's the price to pay to have Flash working on it though.
Maybe if everyone keeps giving it 1 star for disabling Flash, Dolphin will get the message and add it back.

Thanked
Did this yesterday and it's been smoooooth sailing so far. I'm new to Android and this made things a ton easier. :good:
I wonder if there is a way to change the apk or program to make it think your are running ICS so it still enables flash, besides editing the build.prop. From the Google Play update log it sounds like its merely disabling flash on JB while still allowing it to work on ICS/GB, so the flash supporting part of Dolphin is still there, its just being disabled.
I've been using XScope Browser.
Seems like Flash support is a little bit better on that one, but I haven't tested it extensively. Amazon Instant Video can be played full-screen, which is nice. I tried that with Dolphin, but it kept crashing.

Chrome beta is a version of chrome that includes experimental features Google is testing out before they get the features they are testing stable enough for public release in regular chrome for Android. For example, Google recently introduced experimental WebGL support for chrome for android this allows web developers to to put anything from 3d games to animation's on websites without needing to rely on the Adobe Flash Player plugin. The latest version of chrome beta includes these experimental features and more. You can download chrome beta from the play store here https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.chrome.beta.

Same for me. Not sure what the issue is. I even tried it as a system app.
I tried it on my phone w/ V8. It's rooted, but not unlocked & it doesn't work either...it loads up, I do the 'allow' dance and when I go to search or sign in to sync, it just crash-closes.
Would be nice if they came closer to v25 of Chrome, we're still on v18...
Dont like beta
