Since I installed CM7 a few days ago I noticed that there is no notification sound. I installed launcher pro and handcent right after I installed CM7 and thought it could have been that so I uninstalled both and deleted the dalvik by updating CM7 and still nothing.

I got my EVO when it cam out on 6/4 and had no problems. Rooted it and flashed Damage Control on it within a week and still no problems. Up until about a week ago it was fine. Now When eva i sync my FB contacts i get the error com.htc.bg Force close.
I have tried to reflash current rom and same error comes up. Current rom is damage control 3.2.3 with aloysious theme.
Work around for right now is to disable FB sync and download Facebook sync app from market.
Can anyone please find a fix for this!!!!!
Try another ROM. If you still have issue then it's the problem wih you FB setting that everyone is having. Wrong place by the way.
Should be working again. If not its a setting on your phone or the rom your using. Im using baked snack w kernel and it works fine now, they fixed it if you havent checked since yesterday.
Thankx guys.... found out when i reflashed a ROM on my phone... i tried without the Aloysious theme and worked perfectly. Once I reflashed the theme, the same error came back. So I don't know if the theme scripts are messing with the Facebook Sync but, i am removing the theme from my phone until a fix comes about.
Love the theme though
I have my evo rooted running Myns 2.2 with netarchy no HAVS kernel and colin_ph battery tweak with riptide theme.
Gmail has always worked fine, and now it is force closing. I reboot the phone and it does the same thing. I tried to update but it is already fully updated. I also tried to find a way to uninstall and then reinstall but cannot figure out how to do that.
How can I fix this??
Had the same problem. Had to uninstall with Root Explorer and reinstall.
wierd. 2 of my apps (not gmail) started randomly force closing today too...and i cant even redownload them off the market right now..its just stuck on "starting download". I have changed nothing in the past day either.
Cant be coincidence...
I've been following the CM7 nightly builds on my Incredible with no issues at all, I love it.
The problem I've been having is my girlfriend has an incredible as well and wanted to try out CM7. Rooted her phone no problem, installed the free copy of ROM manager (I have the paid, was wondering if maybe thats where the issue was coming into play) and dropped the latest nightly onto her SD Card.
When I install the ROM manually through recovery (wiped both dalvik and cache first) the ROM gets to the CM7 logo and then just sticks there, looping the logo over and over.
I restore the backup of sense, then install the ROM via Rom Manager's "Install ROM from SD Card" option, choose to wipe data and cache and it installs and boots no problem..or so it seems at first.
Even after repeated attempts at installing there are a lot of random issues that I never ran into at all. Every time she'll have a few contacts missing, and the bigger issue - she can't launch Facebook or any apps that have Facebook (Tweetdeck etc) they just force close instantly. Many other apps seem to just force close at random as well.
I installed CM6.1 just to see if it had any similar issues but it went smooth. I've run out of ideas so any suggestions would be appreciated.
Once it boots up, go into rom manager and fix permissions.

First, how long did was the boot animation going for CM7? My first install of CM7 took anywhere between 5-10 minutes of the logo looping (shocked the mess out of me cuz I never sat so long for a load). Maybe giving another nightly a try and waiting out the initial boot will resolve all issues. Personally, I flash rom's manually and have had little to no issues.
Second, maybe this was a specific nightly issue. I was running nightly #31 then switched to #36 and both ran perfectly. Try reflashing the rom and wiping everything again. Also, if your contacts ARE NOT stored under her gmail account this may be the reason you observe missing contact. All her contacts linked to her gmail should instantly reinstall each time you flash a rom/nightly/etc.
Did this help?
Has anyone had this happen or know why it is happening? Yesterday I flashed one of the CM9 Kangs and I disabled Maps, G+ and a few other google apps. On reboot they reappeared. So I tried freezing them in Titanium. Reboot and they reappeared. I thought it was the Rom so today I flashed Gummy and same issue.
Hi all
After approx 12 hours of use the phones lockscreen will not be there when waking the phone.
I have recently discovered clearing the recent apps solves the issue and the lockscreen appears as soon as i clear the recent apps.
Last time i did this the only app showing in the recent apps was the messaging app? 1st i thought it was a Handcent issue but i un-installed it and it still happens with the stock sms app.
Used my Nexus for 2 yrs now without ever having this problem but as soon as i got a new phone and i give my Nexus to my girlfriend i cant seem to resolve this problem and she isn't happy
Its not as bad a problem now i have discovered clearing recent apps fixes it but would be nice if i could find out why it happens in the 1st place.
I have regularly changed the rom in the last 2 years and have used TWRP for most of that time.
Im running most recent TWRP and have tried 3 diff roms now (Liquid, Slim and Beanstalk) and issue happens in all 3.
In TWRP i do a full wipe also data and system, then flash rom and recent gapps then clear dalvic and cache (have tried 4.4 and 4.3 roms)
Any ideas?
TIA.
