[THEMES] [UPDATE 5.12.] VA Themes for JP8, XXJPO, JPJPA and XWJPA

Hi people,
I've started a new thread for some new themes. For now, there will be only previews of themes, expect full themes on weekend.
If you like some preview you can say and I will then make a full theme. Also if you have any suggestion about some new themes please say.
To apply a theme you must have CWM recovery first. Themes will work on JP8, JPO and JPA for now.
Themes will have AOSP lockscreen and extended power menu button.
I've started this thread to see what you people want, so your suggestions are appreciated. I can also make some icons for launcherpro, docks, wallpapers if you want. Thats all for now, themes are on next few posts...

This MDPI theme is the best theme i ever found, if this could be ported to the Galaxy s i would absolutly love it!
PS. If there is a thread that explains how to make themes for the Galaxy S i would be glad to do it myself, i have the Photoshop capabilities to do it..

Hmm.
Would be a good idea to design very simple minimalistic themes, similar to what you have created but in different colours. But not to graphic heavy to cause lag etc
You are on the right path!
Have like a minimal section, and so on. You will bound to get noticed

The one i posted could be awsome, its also very minimal! But still has a fresh feel to it.. Only problem is that its MDPI.

Well the first ULTIMATE BLACK is here (post 4). There are room from improvements, so this is not a final version Expect new updates on weekend (forgot to change some icons )!

[KPN + KPH] Overscroll Glow! Look what I have done...

Hi guys, finally I was able to port overscroll glow for our beloved Galaxy Ace... Yeah, overscroll glow...
You need to deodex your firmware before do this!
Look at the attachment bellow.
How to apply this? Just download the required file for your FW, extract it, copy to your sdcard, open adb and run this command:

adb shell
su
stop
mount -o rw,remount /system
cp /sdcard/<your file>.jar /system/framework
mount -o ro,remount /system
reboot
Remember, it's not CWM flashable, use above guide.
Report me if you have any problem (e.g. bootloop)
If you want to build a rom with my overscroll, please give me credit

Waiting for your Fla.Sh ROM for a long time. I think it'd be the best ROM for Ace.
btw A suggestion for your ROM: If you can try to make it (I hope u r so genius to do this simple thing) the closest Honeycomb 2.3.4. (Themes/Batter Icons/etc etc)

I don't know whether you gonna change your decision or not. However, for me its not a good move. Every users of Android are madly in love with the Honeycomb UI & most of them want it. So it'd be a very good move for you & your ROM to make it like Honeycomb to gain more popularity among the users. If you don't bliv me just open a poll. You'll get your answers
btw Orange is for girls ... Barbie Girls
The default cyanogen theme is pretty cool than the orange one.

i thought PINK was barbie's colour..
i personally love orange, i'm not a girl as far as i know. and if everyone is after honeycomb, let them choose another rom or flash such a theme - at least orange cmod would be some way more original around. +1 for orange

Pink is especially barbie. However Orange is kinda like that
Its after developer. Choose what you want But for me I'd like to see look like Honeycomb.

Instructions
Flash on stock CM9 rom, no themes or mods, tested on the last 3 builds (included latest to date this was written - 02122012)
Place zip on Internal SD Card
Boot into CWM
Wipe cache and dalvik
Flash
Reboot
It seems that sometimes the wallpaper doesn't seem to flash so Ill post it here just in case ...

Good to see your work back Rixsta. I've been giving codeworkx CM9 a try for a couple of days now, I like it apart from a storage issue. Anyway, found this theme and flashed it, like the look and its a good start.
As always I will give some feedback lol. Not keen on the background in contacts and in menus areas, could do with being more subtle to make it easier to view contacts. Finally, maybe remove the cyan. The red is stunning on its own.
Anyway guys, keep up the great work.
PS.. what cm9 you using?

Your pretty smart aint ya!!! I didnt ask for a smartarse answer and especially not from you. Also if you widen your thoughts beyond 'smartarse' thinking then maybe you could see that actually a red theme would work well and maybe the guys would develop that, dependant on feedback and demand, then name it something else. As you know, it couldnt be called Cyanored, that would be pointless. Pretty much like your comment!!

Found out that it was placing the bootanimation.zip in the wrong folder, problem is now corrected.

Do you guys have plans for other themes? Cause I'm searching for some "theme makers", they are able to change the basic color of ICS (light blue) to another basic colour (light green for example). No other changes (original icons, original backgrounds, aso). What do you think? Are you bored enough to do this?

Yeah mate that should be fine. Do a nandroid backup just in case, then you can restore easily if something goes wrong.

Working well on CM9 latest. (17-02)

Chill, its all about love on this page, not hate

Some feedback:
Works great on latest build (20120217).
Detailing is really well done - blending of red/blue very nice.
For my personal taste the shade of red is a little too bright.
Battery number in status bar is not readable (maybe i need new glasses).
I couldn't see a way to change the background image for settings etc. I quite like this wall, but i'm sure people are going to want to change it.

This is my second theme for xda and I've spent countless hours doing tremendous amounts of work recreating or extensively modifying system icons. This theme is evil. It's made from a balance of red and white, and sometimes a steely grey. It's meant to cater to the hardcore, and it's not for girls. Blood, fire, demons, they're all in there in one shape or form and together it makes for a vicious blend that will bring some intensity to your phone. I'm not sure what all you want me to change... you can set your own lockscreen if you don't like it and the only other semi demonic related stuff is (and by a stretch) is the contacts icon, MAYBE messaging, and the occasional pentagram. Really shouldn't be necessary to make a whole new version over these small things. However if you can come up with a reasonable list of offensive content, I'll look into a de-demonic patch.
Also my camera app started force closing now... and i was pretty sure i fixed that problem. At least it was working yesterday, ill check into it more tonight. Already missed a chance at scoring some neat pictures, myself D:
Please remember if there's a problem with the theme on your device, there are multiple ways to restore a broken app.
can always update the .zip you download from me with the original .Apk from the rom you are running, or push the app directly, however you want to do it, it's not hard at all.

I'm running Digital Warfare and loving it so I can't use Ruby Tuesday.
As for offensive, thats not AT ALL what I meant. Just a personal preference that I don't love the demonic theme such as the candles instead of signal bars and the demon pictures and such. I don't find it offensive, it's just not my speed. Others may love it. For me, I prefer simpler themes. I love all the other icons and the 4G look and all that. Maybe I will try it out on my phone and see if I can come up with a list of what exactly I mean.
Truth is after looking at Ruby Tuesday, that is EXACTLY what I am looking for. But it's only for ADT Roms.

Well perhaps you can suggest an icon you would like used from perhaps another theme or I can use the ICS style + red to match... I'm pretty busy on the weekend but I may find time to pack up something for ya

That would be great! I think a red and black theme based off ICS would be perfect. Something very simple but in a red and black style ala' ruby Tuesday is perfect.

Those 2 themes above are a few of the BEST themes I've seen yet for the GS4. Even though they aren't for the T-Mobile TW variant, I was wondering if one of the Devs or anyone with more experience is up to the challenge of porting these over to our devices?
I think they are almost perfectly themed in my opinion cause everything that is supposed to be Totally BlackedOut is just that BlackedOut w/ minimal blue highlights if any, etc... what's supposed to be white is white and what's black is black.. it just looks sharp to me!

BTW: I've already talked to Rixsta (The Dev that created those 2 themes) and he stated that he's just way to busy at the moment to port the themes over but, mentioned I should create a post asking one of the Dev here if they mind doing it! So here you go... PLEASE???!

I think they are almost perfectly themed in my opinion cause everything that is supposed to be Totally BlackedOut is just that BlackedOut w/ minimal blue highlights if any, etc... what's supposed to be white is white and what's black is black.. it just looks sharp to me!

BTW: I've already talked to Rixsta (The Dev that created those 2 themes) and he stated that he's just way to busy at the moment to port the themes over but, mentioned I should create a post asking one of the Dev here if they mind doing it! So here you go... PLEASE???!

I would LOVE this as well. Im using everything I can from team blackout already but the theme would complete it. For the hell of it I made a backup and tried flashing over my rom (wicked) and my phone got sent into a bootloop haha. figured.
Id be more than willing to donate to whoever gets this ported over as well.
