Hi - I am using Deck's GB ROM and have noticed that the Notification power widget keeps appearing/disappearing kind of randomly (or it may not be random - I just haven't figured out what causes it). It was showing fine till a few minutes ago, then I changed the theme, and voila it was gone. Changing the theme back did not bring it back. This has happened a couple of times earlier as well, but it wasn't a theme change that did it last time (nor did the theme change bring it back). When I go into my settings, Notification power widget is enabled - it always shows as enabled, even when it isn't visible.
It's a known issue with changing themes. Reboot after changing and it'll be back.
That solved it - thanks a lot.

Has anyone experienced the lockscreen not coming on after a screen time out or a screen turn off? I first noticed this about two weeks ago on my Droid Incredible phone while it was in an unrooted, stock state.
I then rooted and flashed to Skyraider 4.0. I have all the settings for the customized lockscreen set and this feature has been working like charm since flashing. The other day, when i pressed the power button to unlock the phone, it went right to my main home screen, rather than bringing up the lock screen. I checked and the lockscreen settings have not changed and are activated. I restarted and it was back to normal. This lasted about a week, then once again, the lockscreen disappeared.
I know its a stupid nit, but I like the security of the lockscreen / security option. Plus, it prevents pocket dailing. Anyone experience this on SR 4.0 or stock? I find it weird the problem would follow over after I flashed.
How often do you notice it? I'm running OMFGB and I've recently noticed it as well, seems to happen usually when I shut the screen off manually then realize I forgot to do something and turn it back on in <5 seconds....
Per the title, occasionally, my lock screen wallpaper simply disappears to leave a black background. On one occasion the pic reappeared on its own but normally it takes a restart to rectify. My phone is not rooted. Any ideas on this ?
same issue here.
Is the pic located on your phone memory or SD card? Are you using a lock screen app or stock lock screen? Aftermarket launcher?
Using stock lock screen. Ive had this happen with pics on device and on SD card
Refreshing thread. I could not find any info around and currently experiencing same issue on:
NOTE 4, stock ROM, stock lock screen, KitKat 4.4.4, Nova launcher, pic. both on SD and device. Lock screen pic. disappear randomly turning into black. Lock screen settings:
- Swipe with popping colours - when on home WiFi
- PIN when on 3G
Settings applied via Tasker. Worked well on NOTE 3, KK 4.4.4.
So far tried:
- Clearing gallery cache - does not work
- Setting a different pic. through settings - does not work
- Restarting the device - works for some time until it goes black again...
I've tried all the 5.1 ROMs and seem to have the same issue with every one. I set up the phone, make backups etc and all works smoothly.
Then for no reason I'm getting random reboot. When the phone wakes there is no lock screen, just my notification bar and a black screen. Pulldown shows notifications, buttons etc. Power button shows reboot menu etc but the rest of the screen is black with no function.
I tried to narrow it down by trying different agni settings, running stock kernels, now trying different launcher as its always been on Nova.
There is no pattern to when it will go so getting a logcat isn't easy.
Any help or pointers, or anyone else had the same issue and fixed it.
sent from my SGN2 running RR5.1
So I've done a lot of testing after being hit with some bugs earlier in the day where Power Saver would stop working and I'd pop-ups telling me com.asus.services has stopped working - here's the thing, I've had that package frozen for weeks without running into hardship!
After a factory reset and everything working correctly, I again had Power Saver stop working (I also noticed AudioWizard wouldn't open). I noticed these things happened to me after freezing ASUS Clock so I decided to test. Sure enough, defrosting ASUS Clock and rebooting fixed the problems! I was able to open Power Saver and AudioWizard again!
Just to make sure, I refroze ASUS Clock and defrosted various other packages (including previously frozen com.asus.services). It's the ****ing clock app. I don't know why but the goddamn clock app is the key.
The Power Saver App has an Auto mode which switches Modes depending upon the user defined Times.
I think that without the clock app, the Power Saver app is unable to startup, as it finds a dependency missing.
Regarding audio wizard, even i am confused. Maybe both the apps share a common file which became unaccessible when clock was frozen.
Just out of curiosity.
Why do you need to freeze clock????
Oh I prefer the stock Android Clock and sometimes Timely and don't like having apps duplicating function. ?
I just upgraded from the OPO to the OP3 and pretty much set up both devices exactly the same (in terms of apps/widgets etc). BOTH were stock (nothing done to either bootloaders). OPO was of course running the latest CM version and my OP3 is running stock OxygenOS. My issue is that when using the brightness toggle I have on my Elixir Widget, I get a "no permission to use this feature" prompt and it NEVER changes the brightness. I NEVER had this issue on the OPO. It would IMMEDIATELY change the brightness based on my preset levels (5, 15, 50, 90, 100%). I've checked and all permissions are enabled for all of the Elixir apps so I'm not sure why its not working. Its the only toggle I have that doesn't work. Not sure if this is a regular 'issue' on OxygenOS as I've only run CM on my OPO. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I believe I have found a fix for this. I was having the same problem.
I long pressed the brightness toggle in Elixir widget and selected open dialog. So that it would open up a slider.
I saved and returned to home screen them pressed the brightness toggle and a slider popped up with auto, 25% 50% 75% 100% toggle buttons.
I pressed the 25% and it force closed but opened instantly with a report or ok crash message.
I reported it to the dev.
I went back into elixir widget and changed the brightness toggle to an auto brightness toggle, saved and return to homescreen.
Pressed it and an Android permission screen came up asking about changing system settings, it was already activated but there was no ok button so I pressed back.
Returned to homescreen, pressed it again and it worked.
I then changed it back to a toggle between 25,75 and 50. Tested it and it worked. Back to normal.
I love this app. I was wounded when I thought it was broken.
I hope this helps you, I signed up just to reply to this. I found it when I was looking for an answer to the problem, before I luckily and hopefully fixed it.

You're the REAL MVP!!!! This worked! Thanks a ton!!!
Does anyone know if the System addon made by Elixir's developer works with systemless root? Would like the logcat part of the app to work... instead of crash.
Thanks JDMT, much appreciated. Not having any luck lately reaching the elixir developer, so I'm grateful for your response. Maybe he has a life or is working on a new project.
My solution was simpler but based on yours. My problem was in a 1x1 brightness toggle widget. I only got the permission error with no clues.
* Received the permission error with a 1x1 brightness toggle widget.
* Created a 5x1 widget, restoring data from a backed up widget that contained a brightness toggle. (Should work creating a new 2x1 widget, but can't test now?).
* After pressing the toggle in the new widget, the Android permission screen came up.
"Allow write system settings"
Flipped from "off " to "on."
* Now toggle in the 5x1 widget worked fine.
* Now toggle in the 1x1 widget worked.
Thanks!
