Is that website legit? Has anyone tried it? Just got my G2 and don't want to brick it with a dumb easy way out...although it looks tempting. Ive never tried to gain root access on the g2 and by the looks of the tutorials, its a bit more complicated than my former g1 and vibrant!
ANy suggestions??
Yea also curious.

I'm not sure what to think of that.
But, I do know that the safest and absolute best way to root your g2 is in the wiki.

The reason you don't find any info on it here in XDA is because its boogus and all post with it in it have been deleted by MODs, they want you to do survey and then can't root your phone, do not use this, its not legit, I would erase the link.

The easiest way I did mine was from xda it was the visionary temp root and perm root with gfree pretty simple

All the info is in the wiki here. That looks a somewhat dodgy site. There's no need to be filling in surveys - everything is here and for free in wiki
I need some direction please, any help well be greatly appreciated.... I have an unlocked HTC incredible s from virgin and running on Rogers. What are my options? Cyangenmad? Gingerbread? Root? Please help

You should look around in the developer section of the Incredible S part of this forum, you'll find some Custom ROMs and such there.
Thanks, didn't really realize I was double posting, thought I could ask on any forum. I guess I know now. I'll look around the one u suggested, thanks

try using the search bar and typing in your phone and the issue and see what comes up.
Hello I am wondering how and where to find the latest bootloader updates for my HTC EVO 4G. I have googled and searched the forum as best I can and was UN able to find the necessary information.

Look for the radios thread in the dev section, though don't really understand why you'd want the latest bootloader.
I'm new to the FORUMS and the information is so wide and vast its hard to keep up to date. I'm really just trying to keep updated. If it is not necessary then thank you. Can you suggest some areas and links that are need to know I can read or should.

Click to collapse
top right...click where it says "Find Your Device..."
then start typing "HTC Ins"
or "HTC Desire HD"
not sure which one is your phone.
then the stickies and google should be able to find you all the guides you need, not just for rooting .
i doubt you'll need to open another thread because the question is likely to have been asked and answered a few times...good luck!
Browsing these forums a woke ago seen somebody after the T-Mobile stock RUU. Sadly can't find the thread to reply but I have the stock ruu in my drop box I'm just not sure how to get or create a download link for it?
Hopefully he will see this and I could help if he's not fixed already!
