john, as it has been posted in many threads. there IS NO WAY to go back to 2.2 if you accepted the OTA update to 2.3 this assumes that your s-on.

Well he is s-on cuz he said he never rooted.
And also John, there's no way to root it yet, so you can't even look to downgrade. Hopefully there will be a method within the month.

Fu*k My life .. so there is no way to even go back to 2.1 or some thing ..., ok brings me to my next question .......
can some one with 2.3 scan the memory for possible meid locations... ive been having trouble or is possible for me to downgrade my radio?

To the OP, if you haven't done so, call Sprint's tech support and ask if what you seek to do can actually be done by them and if so, ask how?

NEW Hboot with OTA update Dont root !!!!

Hi all I updated to the OTA 3.29 though sprint this is what I did....
I was rooted but the update unrooted which we all know we were told that.
So I ran this method 1st with the org stock 3.26... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=780141 that was rooted via unrEVOked 3.21: one-click root for Froyo, no downgrading...
then ran the 3.26 ruu to get the phone back to stock everything when k...
then I did the ota 3.29 update the phone now has the new radio 2.15.00.09.01, hboot 0.97 and prl 1.77. (NICE)
After that I ran this... How to Unroot the EVO in 2 STEPS http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=776477, it rooted the phone again... (NICE IT WORKS)
But then I said ok I want to start over just to see if something goes wrong with the phone I will be able to go back to unroot to bring the phone to sprint for repair or replacement and to my surprise (BIG NOPE )
When I try to run http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=780141 go turn S-OFF back to S-ON it FAILS...
I know the Devs will fix this soon but I just wanted to let everyone know just in case you are thinking of rooting your phone after the NEW OTA 3.29 update that once you root u cant go back.....
run s-on before flashing unrooted rom.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=790342
see post #22 for what I did to fix the issue...http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=8290138&postcount=22
Hope this helps

as far as i know there is no way to do it. the only way i can think of that might remotely work is to use the ruu but i have no experience with it and have no idea if it will work/brick your phone. i would recommend googling it extensively before attempting the ruu method
nvm i lied dont attempt the ruu it wont work.

Wrong. You can't flash back from 2.3.3 & S-ON at this time. Don't spread false information.
OP: Please search next time. Wrong forum, and question has been answered numerous numerous times.

How did you do it?
I had it rooted and had problems with a rom so I flashed a factory rom back on it and it updated to the GB OTA but I never turned the s-on. Of course that was before I knew we couldn't get a working root. I have tried everything possible I can think of to get it rooted again. This is why I said if need be I would send to a dev to see what they can do with it since it does have s-off.
thats cool. From what i've read today they are super close

No one is going to argue you on this one. There are countless threads of people being s-off. So long as they rooted at some point.

That's like bragging that I can get into my apartment. Sure, I have a key to the door, which helps.
If you were S-OFF before GB, there's no problem. If you weren't S-OFF and you updated, there's no solution yet.

New Member (NOOB) Looking for help. HTC Desire

Hi folks, I have just joined as a friend of mines told me XDA was the place to look for help in sorting out my HTC Desire.
I will do some reading over the weekend and hopefully sort the problem out myself and not need to look like a complete tosser. There is obviously millions of members and endless amounts of topics to chose from.
A brief description of my problem : I installed the HTC Gingerbread 2.33 RUU a few months back and ran into issues with the storage, which I believe the update warned of. Anyway, that RUU updated the handset no problem, but me being me I decided I wanted to revert to a stock rom so downloaded an older version which failed to install on the phone.
I used Revolutionary method to gain S-Off and created a NAND back up without any problems then I tried to run the old RUU and hit a brick wall so to speak. I am now stuck on the TMobile UK loading screen and although I can boot into HBOOT menu I cant use recovery to gain access to the back up or anything else.
My PC is now wont find my Desire as a phone but just a Android Device.
As I say I will do some searching and hopefully find my way through the maze of information.
If I need anymore help I will give full details of ROM Version , HBOOT and exactly how I got my phone into such a sorry state.
Thanks in advance to anyone who may be able to help me.
Don't Worry.. got you problem..
First of all install latest HTC sync and android UBD drivers..
