I'm so sorry. I told my friend to reply with my answer, but I guess he saw the pic and assumed...my bad. But again, unrevoked will work for that hardware.

Thanks all my friends are late new comers to the Evo I rooted mine with toasts method back in the day wasn't sure about new ones lol

Better late a new comer than never. Just make sure you download the HBOOT drivers and install then un-install HTC sync on the computer you use to root. I can provide links if needed.

I thought I read that it wasnt working on all hardware?
I bought my EVO this past Saturday, HW 0003. Checked back in the Unrevoked thread and it said it wasnt working on all versions.
I guess this isnt the case anymore?

004 was the problem...not 003, and it was newer hboots

I believe I am on one of the 2.xx versions.

I just used it to reroot a version 003, h boot 210, I think it works on ver 004 but never tried it.

Supposedly some people have a problem with the initial attempts with unrevoked 3 and hardware 0004, but if you try to root it 2 or even 3 times it works. IDK why though.

Can Someone make a Froyo Rom for the epic touch

the reason I would want to go back to an old version is because of the sound bug. I can not game on the current os version. most of the game that I play crash on me. It just crash and go back to the home screen without any errors. I was thinking that the Froyo version might not have the sound bug. I don't want to wait for ICS because my old games might not be compatible with it.

I don't think it's a Gingerbread thing, I think it's a Samsung Galaxy S II thing.

How about a cupcake rom? Then we won't have Google maps support or jit! No seriously, why would you want to downgrade the os? How about just a fix on our current software? This would have been relevant on a g1, but not our dual core super phone.

Wow this is a first. I've never seen a request to downgrade Android. As far as games go I've never had any issues with them and I play quite a few on mine. Can you name a few of the games that give you issues?

If u want ill trade u a htc hero for the epic touch... Lol

Your logic isn't sound. What reason do you have to believe this has anything to do with Gingerbread? Considering our phone has plenty of other bugs unique to it, the obvious assumption is this is a bug with our phone. One that's likely to be fixed in the next update. A FroYo ROM would just add several hundred more bugs into the mix since it wouldn't be officially supported and fully tested.

No one is gonna make a ROM just for 1 specific issue. I play games all the time no issues here.

This is the funniest request I have seen in a long time. I do give the op props though. At least he didn't post this in development section.

We know the source. It's a bug with SoundPool.

Better yet any way to get a greyscale LCD theme?

It'd be easier for a dev to fix our current ROM than to make a Froyo rom...

And i want some doughnut wait ios 5 would be even more of a downgrade so ill take that instead

There is no evo design 4g forums here on xda and no miui or cm7 Roms for the evo design that I know of. This is the supersonic evo 4g forums. The design aka the kingdom phone is not the same phone as the supersonic and none of the roms here will work on the design

Samung galaxy s2

so i just got a samsung galaxy s2 from alltel, its basicallt the epic 4g from what it looks like, its on gingerbread and would love to have ice creamm sanwich or jelly bean! i haven't got any updates and this phone is supposed get them?
anyways! is there anyway i can updated it! its a 2.3.6 and baseband is FF24

Running 2.3.6
Build is GINGERBREAD.XARFF24

I don't think you're going to be able to use any of our ROMs. You're hung to have to wait until something is built from source for your device.

phone not updating????

Just a quick ? my girlfriend owns an evo 4g and she is still running 2.3.5 and i tried updating her phone and there is no updates found or it says its up to date??? Didnt sprint ever roll out and ICS update for this phone? I thought i read somewhere that it did? Anyways thanx in advance for and answers!!!!

yea i could make it happen but she doesnt want it to happen!! Ive rooted every phone i ever owned but she wont let me touch her phone but o well she doesnt know what she is missing out on and i try telling her all the time!! Her problem not mine
