I was wondering if anyone has come up with a way to link the Amazon appstore with the Android market so the apps show up as purchased under both. The reason I ask is because it appears Amazon is slow to update apps compared the market. Thanks in advance

Not possible. Amazon apps contain DRM, Android market do not.
thanks

its sad because the underestimate our phones
Ok, that would make sense for games or high end apps, but not for common widgets as widgetsoid. I'll try to uninstall market updates and see what happens.

Go to 4shared.com and see if they got it, download .apk file straight to your phone and install it that way..

Hello
Is anyone else having issues with the Amazon app on 4.0.2 (ICL53F)? When trying to browse the new/used tab on the app, the app just stops working and I get an error box saying "Unfortunately Amazon has stopped" and the app automatically quits.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled but no joy. Anyone else having any issues with it? I'm sure it worked fine on 4.0.1 but since I got 4.0.2 yesterday...
Thanks in advance
I have the same build with no issues...try to reload amazon appstore

I think he meant Amazon app not the Amazon app store.
Yes I have seen the problem on 4.0.2 and currently im on custom 4.0.3 and same problem. Looks like amazon app has a bug in ICS.

OP is talking about the Amazon app where you buy actual stuff from Amazon, not the app store.
In regards to the original question; yeah I have the same problem. Guess we just have to wait till Amazon update their app.

I've had same issue on all versions of ICS with the Amazon shopping app.

Hello
Thanks for the replies. Glad to hear its not just my phone. I've just fired off an e-mail to Amazon and they've already replied to my amazement. They are about to release an update to the app "any day now"
Good news, I guess.
Thanks again.
Hi, I'm looking for a third party market beside Android. Can anyone point me out to the wright direction?.
Thanks.
theres an amazon app store and getjar.
Also Slideme
GetJar. They provide some excellent paid apps for free and developers support it. They recently teamed up with gameloft to offer some free options.

i couldnt believe my eyes. when i saw your post, i though, ''no way, theyve been down FOREVER, they just ran off with everyones money". thanks for steering me back to em! i can get stuff that was previously pulled from the market now (i.e. super mario live wallpaper)
Hello I was wondering why the YouTube app isn't in the market? At least its not for me... I saw on Engadget that YouTube app had been updated

For some reason Google lists our device incompatible with the market YouTube. You can find the apk out there, but I would just trust google's devs on this one, I assure you it is intentional and not an oversight on a device this popular.

This thread has links to download .apk's for the latest versions of the YouTube app for both ICS and GB.
So how long until amazon gets us N7 users an app?

What Amazon app? I installed Amazon appstore with no problem. Text is a little small. Moved all my stored free apps I wanted to my N7.
Um...there is an app. I have the Amazon App store app, and there's an Amazon Mobile app as well as an Amazon MP3 app. Not sure what you're looking for exactly. A simple search in the PlayStore will reveal these to you.

The Mobile app is "incompatible", though it works fine when side loaded.
My guess is Amazon is working on a tablet version of the app, so we won't see support until then.

i really want the amazon video app working on the N7
don't care about the rest really
my N7 tells me the app is not compatible and won't give me a download option

So the amazon app store is for download in the play store? A simple search of either of those in the "play store" doesn't tell me to side load the amazon app and let's me know I have to use the amazon app store to install the amazon app

You can download the app directly from Amazon's web page in a browser.
Appstore:
http://www.amazon.com/amazonappstoreapp
Then get the shopping app from the Amazon appstore.

I know that, but a simple search of the play store would not have done anything
