[Q] FM Radio through Speakers - Xperia Arc Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey, sorry if this has been asked already but I searched around and couldn't find an answer.
Is it possible to output the sound to the speakers when the headphones are plugged in?
I am asking because I like the FM radio option in the Arc, but it requires the headphones to be plugged in to act as the antenna.
Also, has anyone tried extracting the FM radio apk and installing it on another device? I'd like to try to do that with my XOOM. My phone is unrooted so I don't think I can extract it myself though.

Okay I figured it out - don't know how I had not already tried this.
When playing the radio just hit menu button and play in speaker

FM Radio and BT headset...How to use??

I'm using an Bt Midland in my helmet and i can hear music, navigator and also speacking and calling perfectly but i have not found the method to use the Radio trasmitter.
I've the adapter miniusb jack, and i've tried with some different software like Blue Music, Bta Router and a2dptoggle but nothing happens.
same trials in tc forum with even keeping the wired headset connected still no dice
on getting fm to the bt headset could be a hardware limitation
thank Rudegar.... i'm still searching fora any solution.... but is strange cause i cah hear the BT emitting the classical sound of "BIP" everytime i tap any things in FM Radio
I think you should give a try to BTAudio Toggle. This does not requires installation. Just copy to mobile open BT and run BTAudioToggle.exe.
thanks freco.... i've tried, but the radio dosen't transmitt.
as long as I know, you have to plug in the regular headset to be able to enable FM transmitter, because the headset is used as antenna. and then I would go for btIO, you would find it somewhere here for sure
...just my 2 cents
ies...headset are connected to mobile. i can hear sound from the speaker of headset and of mobile but it dosen't go in BT
...well, tried it at home and have to say that it doesn't work either. everything else is hearable on bluetooth exept radio...think that this is a FM transmitter-program problem. it seems that it's only able to play it trough speakers or wired headphones

[Q] Bluetooth Car FM Transmitter Problem

Hi all
(posted this in the Accessories forum - I think it should have been in here, so have posted again. Sorry mods.)
Been using a Bluetooth Car FM Transmitter with an SGS2 for months, which worked perfectly.
However, I just got the HTC One X, and although the music streams fine through the transmitter to the radio, none of the buttons - Next, Prev, Play, Pause etc - do anything.
The phone is 'receiving' them as such - the screen un-dims when I press something, but nothing actually does what it should.
Is this a known issue with the HOX? Or conflicting BT versions perhaps? I just cannot find anything like this online...
Hope someone can help or I may have to send this beast back!
i wonder if it's something to do with different bluetooth versions?

Yeah maybe ... how do I find this out though? Is that a definite possibility?
no idea, could be...

[APP REQUEST] FM Radio without headphones - [ANSWERED]

Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone can come up with an app that would let us use the FM radio without headphones attached. Here is a similar tweak for Xperia Z2 in xda forums: http://www.xda-developers.com/android/enjoy-fm-radio-on-your-xperia-without-headphones-even-easier/
Thanks
It's not much use given the headset acts as an antenna.
I have that module on my Z2 and it works but you can't actually listen to the radio... unless you want to listen to constant static.

Settings.apk and Bluetooth Headphone not working

Hi everyone,
I just bought a bluetooth Sol Republic Air Tracks headphone. It works great with my smartphone but i can't make it to work with KFTV.
I sideload settings.apk that i got from searching google and found it here: https://coderwall.com/p/uzviqa
Opening settings.apk i can find and connect my bluetooth phone and it works for a few seconds with a lot of LAG and then it stops working and goes mute. I can disconnect it and reconnect and the same thing happens again.
Maybe i got an old settings.apk and that's why it doesn't work? If so, where can i download the settings.apk that everyone mentions in other threads?
Maybe it's my bluetooth headphone?
Thanks to everyone who can help me.
EDIT: Found this thread with a link to settings.apk and seems to be the same one that i got (same file size). http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2714494
So i guess the issue is with my headphone? Anyone had issues with bluetooth headphones? Read somewhere about using a bluetooth receiver, maybe i will try that. Altough the author said it was a receiver that came with the phone, so i don't know about using a generic one...

[Q] FM radio over bluetooth headset?

OK, I've checked all the "older threads" and none of them seem to have an answer, especially one that applies to the M8, so I'll ask again:
I understand that the earplug headset must be plugged in to act as the FM antenna, but rather than listen through the earphones, I'd like to use a Jawbone or other BT system to listen to the output.
Is anyone doing that already? Is there a special app I need?
Thanks for any help.
Mike
If phone is rooted, then perhaps.
