Hey fellow xda members, just inquiring who uses the Chase Mobile app since updating to the new OTA for htc evo. Are you guys and girls having trouble signing in to your accounts. I have called Chase multiple times and they were no help since they are the developers of the app. The message i get trying to sign in on Chase Mobile is ( Unable to connect to chase, please try again later. Thanks for your patience.) Let me know if any of you are getting this problem with the OTA Update for the evo.
I too have had this problem with all the gingerbread leaks. Worked fine on cm7 though.

yeah i know the chase app worked on cm7 and evo deck 2.3.4 with no problems but since i went to the rooted stock rom for the htc evo gingerbread. I tried to uninstall and reinstall but nothing. Gives me that message we can't connect to chase right now. I hope chase fixes the app for gingerbread edition of the evo. Thank you jpmaniac87 and detcup4evr for your replies.
This morning, my Quicken connection wasn't working to Chase. I logged onto the website from the PC, and although I could log in, all the account infomation was missing.
I used the card at about 12:30 without any problems, and pulled the Quicken stuff in the afternoon. Seemed to work OK by then.
Either they were having technical problems, or a security breach. I hope it was the former, and not the latter.
Tried this morning and I'm still getting error message that the app cannot connect.
This only started happening after I flashed gingerbread ROM (4.24.651).
Tried some suggested solutions but none worked for me....
1. Reinstall app (still get error)
2. Log into chase site via browser. Go to procedure of device not recognized, request and enter pin. (still get error)
If anyone has any luck with these suggestions or has another solution please advise us.
I installed n used it with no error today.... Im on mikg latest rom.....

I am having the same problem after updating to the official ROM released by Sprint that was supposed to fix problems with the gingerbread update. Guess they figured that the loudest protestors were the ones using Netflix so they took care of that but broke a lot of other apps. For me chase in addition to MOG and epocrates is not working. I think this has to do something with secure connections of authentication or something. It is annoying as hell. But, maybe you are suffering a similar issue. I have searched everywhere and am still trying to find a solution. Because I didn't give a **** about watching netflix on a small screen but their fix has for Netflix has made my device almost useless for me.

Is a conflict I believe with the update and the chase app. And Chase has been screwing around for 2 weeks and not fixing it! You would think with all the complaining on there app, they would do something about it!

So few days ago my evo started not allowing me to update some apps, and some new apps won't install at all. Funny thing is other ones will.like my calculator app won't update, yet some other apps will.Only thing I get is notice saying, unable to install, and no other info.I havent changed anything, and I'm running a completly stock 2.2 system.so I'm clueless about what's going on.

My phone wont connect to the market in 3g I can still browse and watch sprint tv in 3g though. I can only connect to the market and and can only sync in 4g. I rooted using the 2.2 guide

Try going to settings, applications manage, them go to market. Clear cache, force stop and try again. Mine was doing the same but this fixed it.

There is a bug with the market and google voice interfering with eachother, they both must be logged in to work.
Just open google voice and make sure it is logged in, if it already is log it out and then back in. Should work afterwards.
So I have tried what ppl have posted but no luck. Any more ideas?

I just fixed my friend's Droid X that was doing the same thing. Turns out he had deleted Google Talk. If you did then you need to reinstall it using root explorer, find a download of the .apk off the internet, copy it from sdcard/downloads, go to system/apps, click the little button at the top that says mount r/w, and paste. Run the installer and reboot the phone.
Still no luck, and what is the google talk? I don't have an app. Like that

I have the EXACT same setup as you and I get the same force close all the time. adroid process.acore has failed or something like that. I have no idea what the issue is though.

you guys aren't the only ones getting this there are some people that are getting it on azreal as well i think it may have to do with a bad nandblock pray that i'm wrong as idk of any way to fix a bad block, but its the only explanation that i can think of why its happening to multiple people on different ROMS.
update: there are reports of Sprint lovers ROM doing this as well

Same here, starting yesterday or today. And I'm running Fresh 3.4 with King BFS 12.
A full wipe along with a reinstall seem to have fixed the problem for me. Before I had experienced it at boot, but now its no longer appearing so... I would say this may work.

This worked for me I was getting the same error all day and I found it has something to do with contact syncing.
Note I only recommend doing this if all your contacts are synced using gmail or you will lose your contacts.
Solution:
1. turn off Google contact syncing
2. Make a backup of contacts in gmail - ex. export data in csv or vcf
3. then click "manage applications" & "contacts storage" then tap on "clear cache" and "clear data" ATTENTION ! ALL CONTACTS DATA ON PHONE WILL BE LOST!!
4. turn on sync again.

I can confirm that clearing contacts cache will fix this problem. I had the same issue using LeeDroid and MIUI Roms, cleared contacts cache and all fixed. I sync contacts via Google so it automatically restored my contacts.

Me too, it started on virus ROM, I wiped and flashed calkulin, still getting the same Fc's. It hasn't done it today, I do get a Fc of com.HTC.bp or something like that lately too, I cant figure out what's causing it or where its located in the ROM. I was thinking something may have happened to my hardware but I guess im not the only one now.

The Samsung Continuum is rooted courtesy Z4Root One Click App. You can either get it from official thread here or follow the instructions posted here. don't know if there are any custom ROM for continuum yet.

Or you can just download it from the Market, and run it...
Z4root is down from the market. I don't really about other countries, but here keyword search is showing nothing as Z4root. Can you please check if Z4root is available in your market?

I stand corrected... I just downloaded it from the market about a week ago so I assumed it was still there. It is gone now.
No word on any developers working on ROMs for this thing yet...

Be careful with that. OTAs may look for all of their bloatware before installing... It could make upgrading to Froyo more difficult.
Can anyone confirm whether the Fascinate Clockwork Recovery works on the Continuum. I read on another forum that it does, but would like some better confirmation before I try it out....
Of course, that doesn't really matter until we get some ROMs going..... Please, devs, we need you....
Continuum ROM
I have the source code from Samsung and would work on a ROM if someone could get me started. This is my first Android and I rooted with Z4. I deleted a bunch of Verizon crap and now am having outgoing text messages not getting to some recipients. I would love a stock ROM.
I came from using the Nexus One. XDA forums for that device were loaded with devs and goodies. I miss all the action and running Cyanogen ROMs.
What ROMs are best for the other Galaxy S devices? I'd offer a small donation to get the ball rolling.

I for some reason cannot root using z4root. Have downloaded it from here and also the Market on the Samsung Continuum and it does not seem to work. After installing and loading, touching permanent/temporary root seems to have no effect. The 'loading' graphic sits there and the app hangs at running the exploit. Sometimes it even locks the phone to the point where I can only get it to respond by pulling out the battery.
USB debugging is enabled on the device running: 2.1-update1
Build number SCH-I400.DJ20
If you need any other info (or if I am missing something) let me know.
It took me a few tries, but I was successful with the temporary root.

texting issue
HI All,
I posted above about having texting issues after removing bloatware. It turns out that it was the way Google was adding a +1 to my phone numbers. Back to customizing. Z4 worked for me.

Seems to be par for the course with z4. Something randomly done or happens with the phone and by some sort of divine intervention or coincidence it's then rooted.
I also had issues with z4, hardlocked the phone the first time. Second time it FC'd. Third time I was waiting and got a text message. As I was replying to it, z4 popped back up and said rebooting phone. It rebooted and it was rooted.
I actually got it to work after trying and trying and trying. Now to find a Google Quick Search widget that isn't bugged and doesn't stick to the top of the homescreen after clicking on/touching/using it.
Finally got my phone rooted with Z4. Now can't connect to my computer. Gives me the option on whether to use a media card or USB storage. Chose both options (not at same time) and neither worked. Am tempted to remove root as it connected prior to rooting. Has anyone connected after rooting? Any help?

Any idea what I'm doing wrong? Is USB debugging checked or unchecked under settings, apps? Probably missing something stupid..

Is anyone else having issues with Awesome Drop? I hadn't used it for a week or so until yesterday. I dragged my file into the browser window and then nothing happened. The file showed up in the Awesome Drop window on my laptop browser, but the transfer didn't occur. I've tried it several times in the interim with no success. Is anyone else experiencing this problem? I've tried in both Chrome and FF.
Dumb question but did you make sure to open it on your phone?

Haha. Yes. Each time I also reset the PIN to make sure that wasn't goofing things up. Is the app working for you? If I know the server is routing files for others, then the problem is on my end. If others are having issues, it's likely on Awesome Drop's (Dashwire Labs) end.

Yep. I've uninstalled, wiped the Dalvik cache, tried restoring from Ti...no luck. Browsing, Chrome to Phone, texts...they all work without a hitch. For the life of me I don't know what's gone sideways here... It's really frustrating, too, because Awesome Drop is my go-to solution for a lot of file transfers. What browser do you use? Are you stock or using a custom ROM? (I'm on CM7.)
Stock Froyo (2.2.1) rooted. And Chrome on Mac. Are you on the right Wi-Fi? I know it seems like a stupid question but you'd be surprised at how often it's simple things like that

Ah, I wish it were that simple. I just confirmed that I can send files to a buddy's phone from my laptop...thus, I've managed to tweak something in the dark recesses of my phone. As I've been delaying my plan to flash a nightly version of CM 7, I guess the wait is over! Thanks again for verifying that the app worked.
Do you have a NANDROID from earlier that you could flash to to see if that would fix it? Then try to isolate the.problem in the data entering and leaving the phone

This is happening to me as well. I noticed that it started to happen with version 3.7.11 of the Play Store and it still happens with 3.7.13. It will also work if you downgrade to an older version of the Play Store, but it will eventually update itself back to 3.7. what can i do to get the update?....just sideload it?

Yes, you can sideload it, that is how I got it.
Yup im having this exact same issue with v3.7.13 Google Play. I have to keep uninstalling the updates for the market for it to work I thought it was an issue on my rom. Guess not. :what:

I was getting the same thing but then i noticed on the window that popped up that i could uncheck the option to force wifi downloads for large filea. After unchecking my 4g downloads resumed...

It was on the ff18 stock rooted build of ics... Every time i downoaxed any app oc significant size a window poppec up wuth a checkbox already checked saying wait for wifi connection to download
you probably didnt see it, because the window will go away , and the app stays in a waiting for network mode.
kill the download restart and see if it pops.up. I tbink maybe sprint ia getting killed by unlimited data. Lol

Same here. Also since the update, app preview pics that are in landscape format (Angry Birds for example) only display in portrait format... can anyone else please confirm or deny this?
