Wife has a DInc. 2.2 was telling her that she was out of space.
Decided to get her a bigger SD card. going from 2gb to 8gb, formatted it and dropped all the files from the SD card to the new one.
Insert new sd card, and all the apps on the SD card are gone.
hmm
install the old card, reboot
All SD apps are all gone.
what happened..??
How were the apps placed on the original sd? Titanium, an app, or what?

Ok, so I have my Droid Incredible, which is rooted, and the 2gb storage is almost up, I want to buy another Micro SD Card for the phone, will the mess anything up, and is it possible to copy all important root files and put copies of the rules to the new SD Card ?

Your root is on the system storage of the phone, not the SD card. If you swap it out, you won't have any problems.
Also, you can copy the contents of the SD card over to the new one so you don't mess up any applications that have data on the SD card.
Man, thanks i had the same doubt
I have cyanogenmod 7.2 and I erased the data on the SD card in the settings. I unmounted the SD card before. After unmounting, ite says SD card safe to remove. So I removed the SD card. Then it said SD card is removed, insert a new SD card. I didn't want to insert a new SD card so I put in the same one. Then I went to the settings and clicked mount SD card. Then it says SD card is safe to remove. The phone won't read my external SD card. I tried rebooting, and reformatting SD card in cwm recovery. Nothing worked. Please help.

Insert the SD Card into a Card Reader, plug it in your PC, and FORMAT is to FAT32. it should work after that.
I just had the same problem a second ago.
***format will delete all your files of course.
OK thanks. I'll be sure to try that!

Doesn't appear any pop-up message simply when i go at manage apps it DOESN'T appear the move to sd button at all to any app.
Ohhh it is not possible on most of the devices (by default).

So isn't there any way like custom rom, root or anything else to can mode apps from internal phone to extenral sd card?
I got a Tab S 8.4 today and it's my first Android device. I installed a 64 GB SD card but so the "move to SD card" option has been grayed out for every app I've installed so far. Is there something I'm not doing right or is it not possible to move apps to the SD card? If that's the case, why is the option there?
Jason
You need to root then apply the sd card fix. After that you will be able to write to the sd card.
