so im using the latest nightly of cm7 #101 and ever since i upgraded to 7 the flash on some pages just dont load, like videos that are on web pages load and u hear the sound and music but the screen stays black, ive tried wiping and everything and still a no go, i just recently reflashed back to 6.1.1 and it works perfectly.... so i guess its not the flash player itself since i use the same 10.3 in both roms.. is it just a problem with cm7?
Just search the forum.
There are many threads about this but I will answer it.
Download the old 10.2.xxx and install it.
Then everything should work.

This fix enables Flash 10.3 on CM7 quite easily.

I recently rooted my Desire a couple of weeks ago and installed Leedroid. I also partitioned my SD card using ROM manager.
Is there a well known problem with Flash or something running this ROM?
My phone seems to crash a lot when using Dolphin Browser and viewing flash on websites. It basically restarts the phone and I sometimes get a picture of an android up with some writing in the bottom right corner which looks like it says crash or something.
I'm sorry if I've missed a similar thread but any help would be appreicated.
cheers

using leedroid for a while and never had this issue, if your flash version is 10.2 try downgrading it to 10.1
I love LeeDroid!
So am I!!!
ok I'll give the flash a downgrade and see how it goes. Does anyone know what crash screen I'm on about?
Hi
I had the same issue. The phone crashed when i used the default web browser.
Restart to the phone seems to help but after a day ot two the problem returns
I'm getting the exact same problem and couldn't work out what it was until I noticed it happened when I when on some websites.
Like you the phone would lag and pressing saying messages would take it about a minute to load up and the only thing which would sort it would be rebooting the phone.
I was on Leedroid 2.3b so yesterday I put 2.3d on and the problem was still there.
I've just put 2.3b back on wiped my cache and I'll see how that goes but I've just been on the same websites and it hasn't crashed so I'll see how it goes and let you know then might downgrade to 10.1 is it still occurs.
EDIT: Just went on a site for flash games and the phone froze then rebooted itself.
I've had the same issue with redux gingerbread rom when using the default browser, with both flash player 10.1 and 10.2.
Its not specific to leedroid.
Posted telepathically. Oh yes.
I recently installed LeeDroid and have been experiencing a few problems myself. Not exactly rebooting, but a slowdown which forces me to reboot the phone myself.
COULD it perhaps be a problem with A2SD+ and using EXT-partitions on a class 2 SD-card? I mean, running a lot of flash-content with the Flash Player installed on the EXT-partition would be slower than running it from the phones internal memory, right? I recently tried watching an online TV broadcast as a flash-video and my phone completely froze while TV sound was still running. And my SD-card is class 2
I put 2.3 d back on my phone and then went onto the marketplace, then to the flashplayer and uninstalled the updates.
This for me has fixed it and it hasn't crashed as yet having tried on lots of flash sites.
You can also see from the flash 10.2 comments on the market place that a lot of people are having issues with it.
how do you downgrade from 10.2 to 10.1?????????????

hey guys
any fix for gps in nightly builds?
i cant get it to work at alll
any help?
I've been using stock radio all throughout CM and the last time it worked for me was with build 4. I'm on build 28 or 29 now, but read somewhere in the thread that reflashing the stock radio worked for them, so I tried it. I am on a G2, whose stock radio is the 12.28b.60.140eU_26.03.02.26_M. I flashed the nightly, then reflashed the radio. I can't get a GPS lock in my house (I've been able to do it before), but I tried it a few miles away while at an In-And Out drive-thru and I got a lock within seconds and was able to use navigation just fine with voice.
G2 stock radio download link (verify this is your current radio if you're on stock)
Radio thread (instructions too - fastboot with the radio renamed on the root of sd card)
I'm not sure how this plays out in the past two nightlies, but this worked for me. You'd probably have to reflash the radio every nightly.
If you're on a Desire Z, I'd recommend checking what radio you're on and looking for it in that radio thread and trying to flash your current radio after the nightly.
cheers ill try it i have the europe htc desire z so ill have to find the stock radio
thanks!!!
Or you can use RC2....
Sent from my HTC Vision using XDA Premium App
nah the rc2 doesnt work for me either ive tried all the nightly builds and cyanogen mod rc1 and rc2 and they dont work shame, the only trouble i have is with gps.
i have a question, my radio is this one:
Vision_RADIO_12.28b.60.140e_26.03.02.26
MD5 Check Sum: CB45ED9CB543E433E49B8022FC17ACB9
from OTA Update Tmobile rom 1.22
however my phone is the desire z straight from htc, does it matter if the radio i flash is from the tmobile rom
thanks
When I did mess with my radios, the GPS started working but my phone stopped recognizing HSDPA, even after going back to the stock radio. I went back to 6.1.1 then restored my previous 7 nightly. The "H" symbol came back but my GPS vanished. I did try the RIL auto-matching install, but that came up with nothing.
I'll do more searching, but this is a weird situation.
Are you talking about cm7 nightlys? Cuz they fixed it on #29 I think. Well I have #30 nd it is working
Sent from my SilverBullet "HTCDesireZ running CM7"
okay ill try and flash again lol
and i know its weired lol i tried using the gps status and tools but it just keeps showing the loading circle lol
ah well, its not that much of a big deal, i spose roms are developing every day so hopefully there will be a fix soon lol
thanks
Hi,
I'm wanting to know if I can get Swype installed on my Defy? I can find it easily, but not for the Defy's unique higher-than-average screen res. Considering MotoBlur that comes with the phone has it, I'm not inclined to pay for it.
Also on CM7 (Nightly build from about 3 days ago), GPS does not work. I tried some 'GPS Status' type apps from the market, they all crashed on launch. I have GPS enabled, in Maps it asks me to enable location'ing... I have to use Wireless locating to get it to work - it does not detect an enabled GPS. However on MotoBlur it did work... other's don't appear to be complaining about this?
When I first installed CM7, I flashed the rom, then attempted to apply GApps from the CM website - didn't work (Failed to read the GApps bit on Defy CM7 page ), so I just reflashed CM7. Then GApps appeared!? It's odd... feels 'unclean' so to speak, I might do a wipe then flash.
Also a bit confused about sbf's. I fail to see their important to ROM's... I originally tried to install Pay's Froyo, but had issues so just went for CM7. I flashed the sbf in the Pay's thread, "3.4.2-164 Motorola SBF". Is this a problem?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=943258
(I know these should be in the CM7 thread, but the 10-posts-till-posting-in-dev section rule is a bit silly - especially given the nature of the content in the CM7 Defy thread)
Any input would be appreciated,
Thanks.
Edit: So all this is answered in the CM7 OP now. nvm >.>
Right now my G2 is running Cyanogenmod-7.1.0 RC1. For the last few months any time I try to update past this version of the rom I lose my microphone. It works absolutely fine with 7.1 but when I go to 7.2 it breaks. For example, When I am on a call I can hear the other person but it is silent on my end. Voice recording programs do not work either, all that it records is a low level of static noise.
I have also tried CM9 and audacity beta4 with the exact same results. When I flash my phone back to 7.1 everything is fine.
Is there some way that I can flash just the old microphone drivers onto the new roms? I am competent enough to follow instructions but not enough to start breaking builds apart for the individual pieces so I don't know where to start.
I have always done a full wipe on everything before I flash.
Does anyone have any ideas? Thank you!
Currently I am running:
Radio: 12.52.60.25U_26.08.04.30_M3
Kernal: [email protected] #1
Mod: Cyanogenmod-7.1.0 RC1 vision
Build number: GRJ22
a
Didn't try any of those,
but this rom:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1492461
works great on my HTC Desire Z with absolutely no issues
It does take a bit of customizing.
I've tried that rom as well but have a whole different issue with that one for some reason. I flash it and then start to reboot and once the phone gets to the white htc screen it freezes with a few horizontal lines running across it. I have to pull the battery and then flash back to my older rom. I have no idea what is going wrong there.
Here might be a dumb question...
Would it help to flash a new kernal? Are the appropriate kernals included in the roms already?

Hi! Do you solve your problem? I have the same thing there. All the CM roms above 7.0.3 not working with microphone. Do you have still the Cyanogenmod-7.1.0 RC1 file rom and can you upload for me?
Thank you!
I can't boot cm10 (unofficial) or Evervolv's JB preview ROMs. They both sit at boot screen. Also, Sometime mid July cm9 (unofficial) changed something that breaks my data somehow. Stock browser begins to load but stops and closes. Same with FB app. Any nightly (cm9) I use prior works fine and last Evervolv ICS release works great as well.
Is my Evo outdated? I've heard of some Evo's not handling some ROMs for whatever reason but I haven't heard of anybody having my problems with these new ROMs. I use Smelkus ver RA recovery and I have my SD partitioned, though I rarely use sd-ext. I'm always through on wiping and my hardware is 003 if that helps.
I have a pretty old EVO as well, and haven't had any issues getting any jb up and running. Have you tried redownloading? The most recent one I tried was here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1805348 and I liked it, just no camera so I had to go back to an ICS.
If you do a full wipe there shouldn't be any reason why ur not able to run those roms.
Thanks for the input. I flashed the ROM above (With evervolv jb gapps) and decided to wipe everything individually. I'm running JB now! Only thing I did differently was not use combo wipes and try this ROM. I wonder if that's it. Will try other ROMs now.
Just for an update I downloaded new Evervolv JB preview 5 and it booted so not sure what's going on. Unofficial CM10 still won't boot so maybe it is a download issue but I've tried multiple ways (3g and landline). Team Dirt CM10 booted though. I'm scratching my head.....
So basically I am just here to answer your question concerning if your HTC EVO is too old? Why, yes, yes it is, actually, any phone that comes out is usually obsolete within one to two months after debute.
I have booted cm10 to my evo with no problem. I have encountered a few issues with cm10 but that was expected. Can't wait for the camera to work. Only major setback.
