Hi I hope i put this in the right thread
I been trying to get playstation emulators working but failing. tried psx4droid and fpfe and i cant seem to get them working i dont know if its the setting up of it or my roms. if anyone has any of these working can you please explain how you got them to work and what roms you are using and how you got them
Psx4droid doesn't work on the GS2 yet. But Fpse should be working if you find the correct bios for it (without it, it will not work). And don't ask for roms here, it's forbidden (I think, so try google )
With my GS2 and Fpse, i've been able to run Chrono Cross, Legend of Legaia, Suikoden 2 and Grandia ^^
I can confirm that fpse works like a beaut! You just need the correct BIOS (I managed to find it on the Internet).
Does fpse start and moan about BIOSes? Or does it refuse to start?
EDIT: Details of the one I have. It should work if you get this one.

Yeah psxdroid doesn't work on the sgs2 at the moment. It just blackscreens after selecting an iso. Fpse works fine. Had some sound issues with FF7 but playing around with the settings fixed it.
When Fpse starts, it asks for one bios and if you don't select a bios and pick a rom, it start but close directly.. if I remember correctly.
The bios you have is the one recommended

see i did that i checked bios and it said i already have recommended bios. try to run a rom and it goes black then force close?
the roms i got are rar files. which dont get seen so i extracted them and i got a bin and cue file. tried them didnt work so i converted the rar file to iso and still not worked?
What version of Fpse do you use ?
Once you installed the apk and selected the BIOS, try restarting it before choosing a game. If you have a .rar, unzip it and select the .bin file in the case of bin/cue and iso if it is an iso ^^
hey thanks people. first thing it was telling me recommended bios i thought it was telling me i had the bios already lol secondley the roms i had where **** so iv got my roms from a different place now and they working. crash bandicoot set and grand torrismo work fine
one of my games thomb raider is in mdf n mds, how can i make these into bin and cue? im on windows 7 so just putting .bin in the name doesnt change it

this is my problem and desperately need an answer as well
My Tekken rip is mdf and it plays fine, but my Tekken disc is in pristine condition - the playstation emulators tend to be a bit fussy about the rips. I suggest you try cleaning your disc and re-ripping it (or if your CD drive is borked download another backup of your discs).

I've played the demo on my HD. It worked (only in VGA resolution) and I liked it. So I purchased the full game from Atstraware, but the installation always fails. I sent an email to Atstraware a week ago but got no answer from them.

I really liked the game after playing the demo. I downloaded the full version of the game from the link provided in the email. However, the installation always fails. Here is what I did:
- I followed the link in the email and downloaded the 109 MB file (brokensword1wm5-ppc-v1-00-wm5-full.exe)
- installed it while the device is connect to the PC through ActiveSync (There was more than 250 MB free space)
- I noticed the free space went about 100 MB less.
- then this error appeared on my device "Installation of Astraware Broken Sword was unsuccessful" and this should be normal as it was said in the instructions.
- so I tried to find the file using the file manager, but couldn't find Astraware Broken Sword.Cab . I tried installing it several times but no use.
- then I noticed that after the error appears the free space returns to its original space before installing. Which obviously means that the file is being deleted after the error message.
- I even tried extracting the cab file from the downloaded exe file. I got brokensword1.PPC_2577.WM5.CAB extracted from the exe file. Then I transfered it to my device, and tried to install it but I got another error "Installation of brokensword1.PPC_2577.WM5.CAB was unsuccessful."
My device is HTC Touch HD Windows Mobile 6.1
My Pocket PC owner name is: XX
My registration code for this game is: xxxxxxx
What am I doing wrong? Could you please assist me in solving this issue?

Thanks. It appears that there is a forum for Broken Sword game in the Astraware forum, but it has been inactive for 3 months. I posted my problem there anyway as you suggested. Hopefully, I will get an answer.

Blackstone is WM 6.1 - may this be the problem?
usually programs for WM 5 dont work on blackstone as I have noticed while installing something with WM5 in the name...
Try to check whether there is a version for WM 6.1..
Or maybe I am worng just an opinion...

OP said the trial worked. So it's a bit odd that the full version doesn't.
I agree try it in scummVM. I play all the classics through it. Its brilliant.
i have downloaded the demo and windows installer will not instal it, when i go to where the cab is, with me program files and Astraware then Broken Sword Shadow of the Templars Demo for Pocket PC and copy the cab to my HD and soft reset when i could install the demo...

Use the WVGA FIX 1.3 in order to set your screen's analysis to 640x480 and then i think it will work just fine

Ive been looking for games for my xperia for a while now and stumbled across the NeoGeo emulator Final Burn.
I have downloaded it and installed and the emulator runs no problem, i have googled it to death to find out answers before posting here and have the following set up.
Final Burn Installed
Wvga installed
neogeo.zip in the roms folder
mslug.zip in the roms folder
I have renamed all the contents of the mslug.zip to different naming conventions but still get the error below
Rom file 201-c1.bin (crc 0x72813676) is not exist
i have had the rom file names....201_c1, 201-c1.rom, 201_c1.rom still no luck...any ideas?
i am running spb3 in addition if this helps..........

finally got this thing working, seems I didn't have a full version of neogeo.zip.
however now its playing in a tiny size in the corner of the screen, any ideas?

Everything in it is prepared to boot Android straight from SD Card & internal memory - no need to make linux (ext2/3) partition at all. Quick guide:
1. unpack files and put haret.exe, zImage, initrd.cpio.gz, default.txt into root directory of your Omnia's SD Card (Storage Card)
2. put rootfs.img into root directory of your internal memory (My Storage)
3. run haret.exe and click "run"
4. you should see damn small haret's fonts, crc checking should pass with success, haret will jump into kernel
5. now kernel is booting, many messages and logo are visible. I've set a 10sec delay before mounting root filesystem, so you can see message that mmcblk has been found and partitions printed out
6. any failure within kernel booting ends up with kernel panic and phone restart after 30 seconds
7. successful booting results in some long-last message and "android" animation
8. in minute or two you will see desktop

do you have the usa version omnia 2. i just tried putting it on my i920 and got it to load up but that was bout it. only displayed in landscape mode and keep switching between linux boot up and android home screen... any help???
nop european version (Portuguese).. it seems to work very well for an alpha version .. screen flicker and some programs that dont work ... but android is booting ...

That's all that's working at the moment. Hopefully phone and data wont be too far away.

It's working on mine, just follow the instructions provided and you're all set
so are all the buttons mapped correctly? and does WIFI, GPS, Market, standard-phone functions working?
on the omnia i920 I have android running..only problem is none of the buttons are mapped correctly. There is no Wifi. I'm not able to make calls either. Basically it's a visual goodie for now. I read on Modaco that they have the GPS working I think. It doesn't work on mine however. There is no sound either. I really hope someone can get this working fully because from what I seen it's a sweet os.
theres still a lot to be done ... the project is beeing directed by a guy named almar ...theres a lot of development to do on the drivers ..

I have Samsung B7610. I tried running the package, Everything appeared as mentioned. I think the buttons are not mapped. It does not detect the network.
I feel at the present stage, it cannot be used for normal telephony.
But, would like to thank for providing this oppurtunity, I am happy to see Android on my phone.

Have anyone successfully installed an OS on their HTC One X? I did the VHD to IMG, but it's only about 1.1 megabyte.. When I try and boot it with libSDL it says:
Boot from Hard Disk 0 failed
FATAL: Not a bootable disk
I don't know what could be wrong, but I suspect the HTC One X...

Having read the thread, it sounds like
A) It barely works at the best of times
B) Something went wrong when you were doing it
I'm gonna say that it's not the One X.
Edit: What did you make the IMG of? Which OS are you trying to run?
Just tested... works well.
In your case, something wrong with disk image.
Well I'm trying to get Windows XP to work.
I "got my own legit cds" (ssh) from Piratebay, and it was in a VHD format. Then I mounted it with Windows 7 and it showed me the content inside the VHD file (as a partition because I mounted it). Then I used ISO Recorder to make it into a .iso (thread said .iso -> .img) but it's still 1.1 megabyte.
Guess I'll just stick to my Ubuntu... Unfortunately Wine isn't supported on ARM

You can try to run Windows XP just for fun. I will be completely unusable.

Hmm yes I could try that, but as you say... If it's completely unusable I can't use it for anything. And if it lags like hell then I can't use it.
I'm trying to get Warcraft III installed, and so far I haven't had my luck.

Hello my name is austin and im running windows 8.1 ya i know why would i want that..well its fast sooooo..any whooo i have rocket chip 3066 based tablet and im trying to get it to get into bootloader mode witch I DID but it ended up saying device discriptor error on the usb devices SOOO i found the hub it was connected to and disabled it then it made the rock chip show up on the list of devices i opened rk batch tool as a test and would you know it was green well thats not the tool i have to use to flash this kernel i have to use the regular rk andriod tool..but when i open it it says no rk andriod usb device detected...is that weird? any how i need to get this to work..someone any one? have any ideas as to why? yes iv reinstalled the drivers and tryed 17 differnt ones and the only one that works is the rk usb driver i got from rk site.
i really have no idea how to make this work..so i tryed the rk batch tool and tryed to see if i could get it to do any thing.. so i clicked the swtich button but it said this is not supported..well it was dumb for me to try sense its allready in flash mode but still...i fill like somthing is wrong.

GOOD NEWS EVERY ONE i figured out why the other programs would not regonize it so i went into the settings .inf file and changed the usb11 thing to 1 and then it WORKED!
but when i tryed to flash the kernal and recovery img files in the tool it showed the out put but said info start run . start to test. test device failed. run failed....this is so close..i hope someoen can help me im using a kernal edited by OMA he did it just for me and said to just flash the TUVVA kernal and the rocvery img provided by him and us the correct paths I DID and the address..witch i did.. :/ i hope someone knows SOMTHING
