Use AmonRA instead of CWM.
Your phone is a PVT4 model probably. Or use newer version of CWM.

Same here!!! Please, help us!
Same here; it's a bit of an obnoxious thing and I have not been able to yet pinpoint what the problem is.
Fresh HTC Desire, rooted with unrEVOked 3.32 and ClockworkMod 2.5.0.7.
Interestingly enough, reflashing recovery with custom (CM 3.0.0.5) didn't get root running.
If you have a pvt4 desire with erase size 20000 or 40000 you need the modified CWM for your device. I think it is a sticky. Search the forum. I think is in general desire. I am writing from mobile so can't give you a link.

You shold install amon ra recovery.
It has much more options than clockwork.
It can even fix sd card errors.
You can find img file using search.
Then install it using unrevoked custom recovery option.
Then go for installing a new rom
Or you can partician sd card easily with amon ra

Seems that you may have a PVT4 device. I agree with the above poster, look for a newer version of ClockworkMod that will work with AmonRa 2.0.1 or flash the AmonRa 2.0.1 image with unrEVOked recovery and try again.

I have just the same problem as you have!
Only that I didn't try to wipe, I tried to preform a backup (nandroid backup if I'm not wrong).
Does any one know how to fix that problem without flashing a new recovery image?
And if not, should I falsh Amon RA's recovery using the unlocker's method about flashing custom recoveries?
Not sure how to fix it but yeah, try Amon-Ra's recovery instead as a lot less seems to go wrong with it. I have used it in the past and it had not caused me any issues, although, i tend to stick with ClockworkMod just because fortunately enough for me, it has not caused any problems and i prefer the frequent updates.

Check your hboot screen if your pvt1 - 3 try reflashing stock ruu, it could just be a badly flashed misc partition, i had a simlar problem once

SAME PROBLEM.
Thanks for telling, I'll try AmonRa now

The MISC partition is where certain important things (such as USB mount settings (this is where USB Bricking occurs) and location settings) live. I'm not sure how this happened, but i destinctly remember 3.21 being pulled because it caused this exact problem. I'm not sure how you can proceed from here, perhaps someone more knowledgeable will be able to help.
Though, I also wonder. Why did you root twice?
I didn't know what else to do and I thought maybe another root will make it better. and I saw somewhere that v3.22 is the first version compatiable to HBOOT 0.93 (saw it too late...)
if I'll de-grade to 2.1 with HBOOT 0.83, will it help?
Try to flash an RUU while in fastboot.

[Q] Rom Backup Fails with Rom Manager

Hi.
I have tried to search the forum for answers but failed to find a answer to my problem
I have rooted my Desire GSM an installed Rom Manager.
When i chose to backup current rom it boots into ClockworkMod Recovery it says under the menu:
ClockworkMOD Recovery v2.5.0.7
E:Can't find MISC
E:Can't mount CACHE:recovery/command
E:Can't find MISC
E:Can't find CACHE:recovery/log
E:Can't find MISC
I got a 8gb SD card with 1gb ext partition and 7gb fat32 partition.
Do anyone got any tips??
You might want to check if you have a PVT4 Desire (most probably the case), because if so, you need AmonRa Recovery or a newer(Special?) Version of Clockworkmod (which performs the backup itself, rom manager just iniates those)
Download a terminal Client and do this
Check using the following:
cat /proc/mtd (from adb shell or terminal emulator)
Erasesize will say either 20000 or 40000, whereas the last one identifies your device as being PVT4 New. This has a different NAND chip, which uses a bigger pagesize and changed partition offsets.

Click to collapse
If you have a pvt4 desire, go back to froyo stock and run unrevoked again (in this time with cousin recovery).
And don't user rom manager. Do it directly from recovery.

[Q] [FIXED?] DINC2 E:Can't mount /dev/block/mmcblk1p1 (or /dev/blocck/mmcblk1)

Okay so I have a DInc2 that will boot into recovery only (There is no rom installed)
Windows7 and Ubuntu see my 16GB SD that came with my DInc2 but my device doesn't.
I have tried formatting it Quick and FULL OVERWRITE (Over 2 Hours) and it sees no errors in Windows or Ubuntu
any time I try to access the SD card via recovery is says E:Can't mount /dev/block/mmcblk1p1 (or /dev/blocck/mmcblk1) (Invalid Argument) E:Can't Mount /SDcard
I have Amon Ra Style Recovery for Incredible 2 3.0.3 I was able to flash via Fastboot, but now Im lost.
