Bluetooth incar needs constant repairing for in car stereo - Desire HD Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have a HILUX that comes with bluetooth.
For some reason every few days the Bluetooth won't connect automatically, I am required to disable and enable bluetooth on the DESIRE HD 3-4 times so that it connects fine. If it doesn't work then I have to repair again and the issue comes back again in another few days.
Is anyone experiencing this issue also with any of their bluetooth devices?

Yes I have some issues with bluetooth and the handsfree kit opel cd70 it connects but after a cople of seconds it disconects
For me was it gingerbread I downgrade it to froyo and it worked for me

Bluetooth problems sorted with Froyo ?

on the edge of updating to froyo at the moment but might wait a week or two for the little problems to get ironed out..
just wondered though if they have improved the Bluetooth on the phone ?
I have heard a few people having problems with the HTC implementation of it and have myself a device with pairs but does not connect
thanks

hi mitch,
bluetooth issues are still there after official htc 2.2 froyo update.
I have a Logitech diNovoMini keyboard that can pair but not connect to my desire.
htc broke the damn thing...
Bluetooth woes
I have just bought a Linx B-Tube. It should function as a bluetooth headset (only it has a speaker). I was hoping to pair it with my Desire which was running Cyanogenmod RC1. I couldn't get it to pair so I decided to make the leap to the nightly to see if it made any difference....nope!
I can see the device and I am prompted for a passcode for connecting. When I enter the code it just goes back to the original screen and doesn't pair.
I have also tried pairing to my MacBook pro with the same result..
Any solutions would be much appreciated
I have a Vodafone unbranded HTC Desire running Froyo, and I have a similar bluetooth problem. It really sucks. My Plantronic bluetooth headset can pair and connect with the phone without any problem. The connection is fine and will automatically be re-established if the headset is in range. However, occasionally, yes, occasionally, the headset will be detected and connected, but can NOT be used. I can see the icon that shows that the bluetooth headset is connected. However, clearly the phone voice output is for whatever reason NOT routed to the bluetooth headset, and hence I can't talk using the headset. I found that once I got this issue, the only way to solve it is to unpair and re-pair the bluetooth headset.
Very annoying. These days software quality control is very poor.
Hi my problem is different. both with Android 2.1 and 2.2 my bluetooth headset (Blueant Q1) works fine except when the Wifi Connects to a new hotspot. When this happens teh bluetooth headset discoinnects and then reconnects : (
Maybe I should be happy it works most of the time listening to previous posters !

[Q] Bluetooth problem after upgrade

When I bought new car in May, Hyundai ix35, everything between Desire and car worked flawlessly: paired within 1 minute, phone book transfered in 3-5 minutes ?btw, why it had to transfer whole phone book everytime?? and reconnected automaticaly after out of range or car stereo off/on, voice dialing ...
BUT, after upgrading to android 2.2 I'm experiencing a lot of problems: no automatic reconnection, can connect only when car is started and phone bt after that, phone keep thinking that is connected even car is miles away, phone (application) restart after almost every call when bt is connected. I've tried with unpairing and pairing devices again, but there is no difference.
Car didn't have sw upgrade only phone.

EVO, Bluetooth constantly disconnecting

Before I rooted my Evo and upgraded to 2.2 all in the same day I had no issue with BT and my car connection.
Now my phone will connect to my car via BT, but then disconnect within 30 seconds. Then the car fails to reestablish a connection with the phone (even if I cycle the car, off and on) unless I cycle the BT off and on , on the EVO). After cycling the BT on the phone, the car will reconnect, only to lose it again within 30 seconds. ?
Ideas or thoughts?. Is this a hardware issue with the phone (doubtful) or a 2.2 issue or is something not right between 2.2 BT stack and the car BT system
The vehicle is a Ford with the "Sync by Microsoft".

What ROM are you using?
Sent from my PC36100
same problem here. using Fresh 3.40.1
driving me nuts... i haven't tried it yet as I have 4G in my area but I hear Cynogen works...
Google and HTC know there is an issue in 2.2 with Bluetooth intermitent disconnects. The 2.2.1 supposedly fixes this but, it is only available to a few phones.

Mine has not done this with my Jawbone Icon, Motorola S10-HD stereo headphones or my Volkswagen Tiguan. Perhaps you might try another bluetooth device?
buletooth issue?
I had try different device and do the same thing, like my audi q7 and jarba headset and the garmin. Can you tell me what buletooth setting you are using?
Mine has intermittent issues as well, I'm using an older Motorola 710 BT earpiece. I'll only turn on BT on the phone when I know I'm going to use the earpiece, such as when driving or needing to be hands-free. I only activate the earpiece after enabling BT on the phone, but there are times when the earpiece does not connect.... the only fix is to reboot the phone. Is that similar to the issue you are having?
I'm having issues connecting to my car. If I reboot the phone and connect it will work. But once it's disconnected and I turn bluetooth off and then back on from the phone, it will not connect. Only way to fix it is to reboot. Don't know how to fix the issue. Never had a problem connecting my Sensation to my car's bluetooth.
My issue is similar in turning bluetooth on and off via the power widget and not being able to re-connect to my bluetooth earpiece after a few cycles. I'm wondering if it may be an issue with it being BT 2.0 versus BT 3.0 on the phone?
I thought it was my car but a lot ppl is having this issue too.
Sometimes it wont connect but it says connected so i have to go to BT settings and click where it says connected n overwrite the connection for it to work if not gotta restart the phone. :/
Tmo Galaxy S2
I'm having problems with a SoundFly FM Transmitter in my car.
At first it took forever to pair. And even when paired & connected it's really glitchy.
I'm using this mainly for GPS turn by turn over the car sound system. But because it is glitchy I can't use it because some of the directions get cut off.
I had a MyTouch 4G before. No problems whatsoever. I don't if it's a hardware or driver or BT device issue.
I'm willing to get a new FM Transmitter but not if it does the same thing.
It didn't work well on stock or rooted w/ Juggernaut rom
this is quite annoying. I wonder why this topic died so quickly, there have to be more people with this problem? Maybe has something to do with a bluetooth power saving sleep feature? Streaming music, pause music for a few minutes, incoming call gets connected but I get no sound through headset.

Bluetooth to car

Hey everyone,
I have a Sony aftermarket deck in my car that I connect to via Bluetooth on my GN (also used to use my Nexus S, Droid Incredible). I have had the same issue with all my phones (a friends iphone doesn't have the issue) and the deck, which is when I turn Bluetooth on in my phone, sometimes it will auto connect, other times it won't.
When it will not connect I have to cycle the Bluetooth on/off a few times then go into settings and keep clicking the deck players name to get it to keep trying to connect.
Anyone else ever encounter this and if so, how did you solve it?
Thanks
I had this issue too (Nexus One to my Kenwood DNX-8120). The way I get mine to always connect is to start BT BEFORE you start your car's radio. Then, it should auto-connect without any problems. I've been doing this method now for about a year without ever having a problem if I go that route.
If you still have troubles and don't want to turn your phones BT on and off, try turning BT on on your phone, but turn your stereo off and back on.
Hope that helps!
