Pc companion software update failed

Hi.
So, i tried to update my sony ericsson xperia arc using PC COMPANION from the sony website. then it said that update failed, so i unplugged my phone (OFF) and when i tried to turn it on. it just vibrate and the sony ericsson logo doesn't appear. i hold the on button for a while and it just vibrates, please tell me what to do. THANKS!

Is ur bootloader opened?
If so tray flash the update trough the flashtool

could u please be more specific? cause dont really get this stuff. thanks.

Use flashtool to flash any firmware You want to your phone or use seus if you didnt unlocked your bootloader never use pc companion I bricked mine twice using pc companion

I am having an unlocked bootloader Xperia S., even after knowing that the unlock bootloader will not update from the PC Companion I tried installing a stock after soft brick. PC Companion was downloading and preparing for update. Does it really work?
Didn't take any risk and Flashed Cynogenmod 10 via Recovery.

Flash stock firmware manually thru Flashtool and update OTA or thru SEUS / Sony PC Companion

[Q] Error while repairing phone software

Did you tried with SUS (sony update center)? Better than pcc or update engine

If none of the Sony tools work for you, just flash the latest stock ICS FTF file using Flashtool. There are many guides which explain how to flash a ftf in case you need help.

Issue resolved! Used Sony flashtool for it!

Emma and Update services don't recognize my acro s!

Dears,
My Acro s with CM10 rom ( currently ) is not reconized by Emma or Update services!
I changed the rom and kernel but problem stays.
Unfortulatly i don't have back up of orginal software .
When I connect the deivce to Update services : Your device has a modified software
When I connect to Emma : the attached shotscreen appears
Any one had such problem?

for update PCC and SUS your phone must be Locked Bootloader, for EMMA must be Unlocked Bootloader.

How are you connecting your phone? For Xperia S, to connect to EMMA your phone must be in fastboot or flash mode(can't remember which one). Have you tried connecting in these modes?
