Another build by me, this time is based on JPX Froyo 2.2.1 build.
- Deodex and optimized
- Themed with Gingerbread theme by vukandric and modified by me.
- Modaco Gingerbread Launcher (only 10MB in memory)
- Gingerbread keyboard
- Spare Parts (no ads)
- Nexus S Wallpapers (also Live Wallpapers)
- Stock AOSP Froyo/Gingerbread applications
- Stock AOSP Lockscreen
- Nexus S Boot Animation
- Lastest nice hardcore kernel
- No LagFix (If you want use option in CWM Recovery)
- Pre-Rooted and Busybox installed
- Very fast ROM.
For install this ROM you need to disabled any lagfix, flash original JPX ROM with ODIN, flash any custom kernel with CWM Recovery, boot into CMW and choose my zip package to install.

PLEASE mention that THIS is A ROM on the Title, & tell everyone I asked you to do so.
I'll give this a try if it is as close to AOSP as possible
Looks great!
Could you please tell me where I can find "Modaco Gingerbread Launcher (only 10MB in memory)"? Thanks.
In the market? ;D

I haven't looked through the files yet, but why do you have to flash original through odin first?
And what custom kernel?

You need CWM Recovery active, try hardcore kernel or another with a custom recovery built in
Can you give me files: framework-res.apk and twframework-res.apk ?
location: /system/framework/
thx.

I see. Thanks for your reply and the "?!?!!??"'s
I would have assumed a clean install could be accomplished by wiping data, cache partition.
i think i knew the answer.. but still couldnt help asking:any possible to have installed Chines language?
So this is not full rom since you need a base rom for install?
About livewallpapers:
Microbes works pretty nice, but connection gingerbread livewallpaper looks different than the original one and I like a lot the original one. Where can I find it
This rom is awesome, but i have some glitches in the calendar app, one grey image is showing over the first week on the month view and other screens.
Nice rom, but I have some questions: If I'm not wrong calculator, calendar, messages app, camera app, music player, video player, browser app (and maybe some more) are AOSP stock apps. But which ones are from froyo and which ones are from Gingerbread?

Hi there,
after some days of waiting for erics jvs-version, i started to port it by myself.
so here it is, the JVS 2.3.5 STOCK Browser -- FULLSCREEN -- with UserAgent selection and unlimited tabs.
Please notice, that it behaves identical to erics jvr-version here (so the useragent selection will be forgotten after browser is closed completely)
you can choose between cwm3 package and the raw apk file.
Attention: when you are using an odexed rom you have to delete the file system/app/browser.odex manually
after applying the cwm3-zip / copying the apk to system/app/
have fun!

ps:
dear rom-cookers, please be so kind to contact me prior including it into a mod and give credits to both of us, if you are going to use this file in your rom. thank you.
Thank You..
Great job!!
Thanks very usefull
Awesome, thanks

Just a curious question -
The browser by Eric is at around 821KB (the APK file). The browser.apk you modded is around 770KB. Do you know why the major difference ? Is it based (maybe) on a different build ? Maybe some missing resources ?
Just interesting in knowing...
thats a good question.
there are no missing or removed ressources, only changes in initial.titlebar.png in portrait and landscape folder (for better fullscreen experience)
so these two files are smaller than the files in erics version. i haven't checked but maybe these files are round about 50KB alltogether.
edit: i think both files are based on the same build: (as mine is) taken from stock deodexed samsung 2.3.5 jvs rom
thanks alot
Thanks!
Will issued a odex ver?
Use settings "Landscape view only" and reboot. Browser crash.
Could you enable "Desktop" as a default user agent? Tnx.
Could you mod JVU version please
Hello,
On my N5120 (Samsung stock deodexed and rooted), my bookmarks in thumbnail view are displayed as in 2nd attached photo.
I tried AOSP browser, my bookmarks are displayed as in 1st photo. And, obviously, I prefer the way the bookmarks are displayed in AOSP browser.
My question: Is there a way to modify SecBrowser.apk in Samsung stock rom, so that the bookmarks be displayed as in AOSP browser.
(Maybe, by modding a file in res/layout?? But, which file and how??)
You may ask why I just don't use AOSP browser. The reason is CSC feature to add an exit button to browser does not work with AOSP browser.
Off course, if I can add an exit button to AOSP broswer, that's also fine for me. But, this seems more complicated.
Can any one help??

I have been trying to change in xml files in res/layout without success, which is normal as I don't know anything about programming....
I just had a thought! Maybe, the difference in the way that the bookmarks are displayed is in UI between Phone and Tablet.
Is there a way to set stock browser in Phone UI?
I've been using the Android L port and I'm loving it. The only problem is that I hate all the official google apps. Plus the ROM only comes with Google photos. I really want to put something together once the ROM is more stable (although it really is good right now) that includes aosp style apps.
Does anyone know where I can get the apps? Can I just pull them from a custom ROM? Or can someone put together a zip that has a few aosp apps? I'm mainly thinking browser, gallery and a file manager, but suggestions are welcome.
EDIT: I was able to pull the apks out of another ROM, I chose the latest (7-20 at time of writing this) CM11 and put the files where they should be /system/app and I changed the permissions to match other files in the same location. Then I rebooted to recovery and wiped both caches. File manager (CM File Manager) and gallery worked fine, I can't figure out browser though. I found an app on the play store that was an AOSP Browser installer and tried that too, but browser keeps crashing on launch. So if anybody knows how to make AOSP browser install please enlighten me.
Thank you.
Hi. I have installed stock EPD4 following this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-10-2014/general/rom-upgrade-guide-extras-t3410132
I used the debloater script. I read the whole list of apps removed but I missed the browser. I tried installing Samsung Internet from APK Mirror but it doesn't work. Please, can someone give me the app and its relative files? I like tablet mode of Samsung internet, and now I'm sad because it's gone.
I don't want to reinstall the whole rom.
At least, can you tell me which files I have to extract from the rom? I should add them by myself.

I don't know if you are still looking for this, but this is the APK from my Note 2014 on lollipop for the Samsung browser.
