[Q] Gmail/Google Apps not syncing - Droid Incredible Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

My company has a Google Apps domain, and since the initial setup I have used it with my HTC Incredible with no problems... until Saturday.
Running CM7, going into my Google Apps domain from the Gmail app caused the app to, for lack of a better term, freak out. It looked like it was repeatedly opening the message list, and the only way out of the app was to kill the process. Thinking this was a CM7 problem, I tried a few different ROMs, including the stock HTC Froyo ROM. Gingerbread-based ROMs exhibited the same "freak out" behavior as CM7; Froyo-based ROMs simply do not offer "Sync Gmail" as an option under Accounts & Sync - just contacts and calendar.
Our Apps domain administrator assures me that nothing has changed on our domain or with my account, but I am the only Android user (out of two) having problems. My personal gmail.com account works perfectly, and both accounts' calendars work (I'm not syncing contacts with my Google Apps domain).
Any thoughts?
EDIT: The following shows up in logcat repeatedly when trying to view the message list in Gingerbread:
Code:
I/ActivityManager( 178): Starting: Intent { cmp=com.google.android.gm/.ConversationListActivity } from pid 1652
I/ActivityManager( 178): Starting: Intent { cmp=com.google.android.gm/.ConversationListActivity } from pid 1652

I/ActivityManager( 178): Starting: Intent { cmp=com.google.android.gm/.ConversationListActivity } from pid 1652

Addendum: This line from logcat looks like it's key. Spotted when running Froyo:
Code:
D/SyncManager( 161): setIsSyncable: Account {[email protected], type=com.google}, provider gmail-ls -> 0

So i fired up Droid Explorer, used it to view the LogCat entry, and this one keeps spamming like there's no tomorrow:

any idea what it means? Is it normal?

CM9/AOKP wake up lag with WIFI On

Hi guys.
Since a long time, I have some wake up lag with my phone with some ROM and kernels. Today I found the reason of this wake up lag, at least with AOKP RC4 rom and FXP 133/128 kernel.
In fact, when I disable the WIFI, there's no WUL (wake up lag). When I enable WIFI, guess what ? There's WUL.
When I put the phone in charge, even with WIFI On, no Wake Up Lag too...
The screen take 1 complete second to wake up, it's really unconfortable when I use the phone every days.
If someone have this bug or can help me with logcat or other thing, i'll really happy cause I really like AOKP rom.
Thanks guys.
Cheers.

Thanks for your response.
Already done again and again with FULL FULL wiping.
Okay,
Like every post I made it seems this one's pretty useless. Don't know if I smell bad or something...
Anyyyyway.
I run logcat on my phone to found where's the problem.
Here's the result with WIFI ON and wake up lag present :

Dunno if i'm right, but the line "I/wpa_supplicant( 3583): wpa_driver_nl80211_driver_cmd: Unsupported command SETSUSPENDOPT 0" should be the problem ?

If some dev or people with more brain than me can take a look at this, I'm pretty sure is something easy to fix.
Thanks.
Cheers.
Do you have any lock screen app installed?
Thanks for your response.
No lockscreen app installed. :/
Don't know if this a kernel problem but I've no wake up lag when I turn wifi Off, really weird.
Thanks.
Cheers.

[Q] Trouble opening 4g settings

Hello there! Long time lurker here, I'm running MIUI LF Edition, and I'm having a bit of trouble connecting to 4g. When opening the 4g settings in the menu, I get an error, "Unfortunately, 4g settings has stopped." Anyone else have a similar issue or know a fix? I'd ask in the original thread, however I don't have those rights yet.
Oh and here's a logcat.

Bump. I've tried reflashing and even redownloading a few times, and still having the same issue. Does the logcat reveal anything important? I'm kind of clueless.
Guess I'll be trying the other MIUI rom.

Are you running the lastest REV2?
Yes I am. I was installing the JB tweaks, and thought that might have been the issue, but I've flashed several times without using them, and the problem still persists.
My install process has been as follows:
-Nandroid
-Wipe data/factory reset x2
-Wipe cache x2
-Wipe dalvik
-Flash Rom
-Flash gapps (sometimes - after 4g not working the first couple times, I stopped flashing gapps just to speed up the testing process.)
-Reboot
Just an update, I tried the link posted in reply to your quote; still with no avail. Logcat reports the same, as I believe it's the same [rev2], even though I did download from OP but via Tapatalk. Strange how there are different downloads....

BEFORE INSTALLING BUGS ARE
No Recovery.... So unless you know how to use fastboot i suggest you not install it.
What you do is install the ROM then install Gapps and SuperSU If you want to revert to a different ROM you will need to first flash boot.img from one one of my earlier ROMs or a different rom entirely from fastboot.
So just to recap install the ROM.... Do not leave recovery, flash Gapps Do not leave recovery, then flash SuperSU and it will work.

Maybe, this is what's causing it.

Thanks i found a fix when looking for something else, just wasnt sure if it was still broken or not will include it in the next update.
So far, so good. It's more responsive than Beanstalk, but the camera still can't save to the SD card.
Other than the camera issue, good work, deedwar!

Is CyanogenMod, I had waited so long. Nice work
NIce work, it's very pure taste.
Could you give some information about how to port Cyanogen to Acro S?
Does the ext_sd work with MX-Player?
you r the hottest deedwar..thank you
could this be made in order to increase the internal memory partitions larger than 2gig too?

Hey deedwar is the download link in the OP for an updated version with this fix, or is it yet to be released?

Ah... I see... Thanks for the reply! =)
hey deedwar,
really great that you're still around and working on new ROMs for the XAS!
i've done a fresh install of this one and the first impression seems to be good!
except for the still existing bug of all opensemc based ROM's:
setting a persistent/manual chosen mobile network fails.
steps to reproduce:
settings -> mobile networks -> network operators
wait until the search is over
select the network of choice
wait while it tries to reigster...
receive a toast that reports failure registering
the logcat is attached.
the bad thing about this is that if you live near a border, the phone will eventually switch to a roaming network if that has stronger signal, which is really annoying.
but still: thanks again for holding the acro s' ground!!!
edit:
after a couple of reboots, there's also an annoying message popping up. it says
SIM card added
Restart your device to access the mobile network

it has a restart button, which takes the phone into recovery which is strange enough.
it can be dismissed using the back button.
i have tried upgrading the baseband from
8660-AAABQOLYM-314010-35
to
8660-AAABQOLYM-314010-39
but it's not helping.

If it's cause by a change in dpi you can download the app setting mod from xposed and set it to to 320x480. That fixed my issue when power saver was crashing when I adjusted the dpi.
Just did all that and it came back to life.
Thank You both for help
what is dpi, how to change it? I have the same issue
