ANYONE FEEL FREE TO CONTINUE MY WORK WITH THIS!
IT'S A SHAME I CAN'T CONTINUE SINCE I BASICALLY STOPPED ALL .NET DEVELOPMENT!
Hello everyone
I'm working on an application to replace the standard message application (tmail.exe) and I would love to get a few others to join me in this
In the future a Today Screen plugin will be made that will simplify the reading/replying of a textmessage enormously.
Information and source can be found on http://pmmsg.codeplex.com/
Things that I need help with:
- Accessing the message storage w/o using a 3rd party library (using Mobile In the Hand eval at the moment)
- Today Screen plug in development (C++ requirement and I ain't used to it)
If you think you can help me out in anyway please drop me a PM

I think it's because you are using HTC Messeging. you can't intercept messeges when HTC messeging is enabled.
Install This cab to disable it.
hope it helps
Thanks Going to try it out as soon as the download is finished
Hope it helps
EDIT: No change =/ I ran the executable after the softreset, and there were no change when I recieved a message =/
EDITEDIT: I've now uploaded all of my files to 4Shared: http://smssorter.4shared.com/
Ignore previous posts >_<''
Turned this little message interceptor into a fullscale project to replace the standard messaging client (tmail.exe)
See first post for details!
Now I'm back and can work on this. There has been no time to work on this for quite a while. But, as stated, I'm back
Updated my first post. Please read

I am looking for a good and working phone call recorder. Which can record directly, not over the speaker or something else.
In the market I saw some of them but they seem to be buggy.
Any idea?

Me too, but I have found none that works well is isn't crapware.
My only hope so far is Total Recall by Killer Mobile. I paid for their product some time ago for my Symbian handset and it has been perfect. Reliable and very flexible (you can define rules, exclusion lists, etc)
Unfortunately the developer seems to be working on Android versions.. some are working in some units but on the Galaxy it is still not finished. I downloaded the demo but it didn't work.
You can keep an eye on it tho at Killer Mobile's site (forum part).
If anyone knows of a better product for android, please let us know... call recording is very useful when you need to keep track of details and can't write at the time.
i saw a couple of them on Android Market, forgot the name
they both can record live calls
is good if you want to tape something to be used as evidence
any news?
The original post is a few months old, can anyone name a working application please? I switched from Omnia 2 and cant find any program that can match Vito Audio Notes or Resco Audio Recorder
Total Recall records only in A-Mode a few seconds, beginning with the line waiting (ringing on the other side) and the sound is distorted.
(the missing call recording and Garmin Maps make me think to go back to WinMo)
Thanks!
Hi, suggestion awaited..........

check hero/g2 forum, someone made a call recoder, it uses kernel library specific to hero so dosn't work on other phones, but devs can try hack like that on sgs... maybe.
Any NEWS on this issue.
haven't found a proper application until now.

haven't tired it yet. SGS is listed as compatible. Will test it myself once I flash to jp6.
Tried it and have to say it does not work very well so far. I'll play more with different settings before uninstall.

A few months ago, when I had to send a big video to a friend's phone and realized that Bluetooth really sucks, I found out about WiFi Direct.
I googled a lot, but could not find a way to get it to work on my phone, although the I9000 was officially called the "first phone certified with WiFi Direct".
As I'm interested in programming, I started to research what I could do to develop an app that could send files at similar speeds and finally found out WiFi Tethering could work in combination with a simple HTTP server.
I started to write on the app in my free time, got it nearly ready, but stopped working on it because it became quite busy at school.
In the meantime I had switched my phone, but in the holidays I picked up the project again, finished the app and published it on Google Play. It's available there since about two months and received an update recently.
I want to share this app with you guys now. It's free and I hope you'll find it useful.
The app allows for speeds of up to 32 Mbit/s, which means e.g. 1 Gigabyte in just over 4 minutes (depending on devices)
Features:
✔ Up to 20x speed of bluetooth
✔ The receiver is device-independent
✔ No need for a common Wi-Fi connection
✔ No data usage for file transfers
✔ The receiver does not have to have the app installed
✔ Send single or multiple files
✔ Easy to setup: Use QR codes to allow the receiver to easily connect to the wifi and open the receiving URL
Play Store Link:

APK: http://bit.ly/FastFileTransfer
I hope you find this useful!

Hi FD_
in next CM10 nightly WiFi direct will be removed.
Is this thing will affect your app ?

No, this won't affect Fast File Transfer.
As mentioned, the app uses WiFi tethering (and not WiFi direct) and therefore will still offer fast file transfers.
So don't worry if the next CM10 does not have WiFi Direct, just use Fast File Transfer instead
thank you very much, galaxy i9000 was first device with wifi direct but i had never use it, will try it tomorrow with friend of my. thank you one more time...
Is it possible to make out a way to receive files also... would be more useful then...
Btw the app is very good as now i can shut the mouth of my frnds who show off...
Edit : had to install app in frnds phone and all good in receiving too...
Is there any chance that in future versions, the step of opening the browser or QR code, no need to do it ?
I mean, I do not see the need to open the browser on your second device because the two devices are "connected".
The way that this now appears that the second device downloads the file and not the first device sends it.
I hope I have explained.
Sorry for my english
try the app and it seems working for me

You could send multiple files once and create a bookmark to the index page in the browser on the recipient device.
Maybe I'll implement a simple receiving part in the next version.

This is technically impossible without having an app installed on the recipient's device. Maybe the receiving part mentioned above will help you, but it will require the receiver to have the app installed, if he wants to benefit from the "fast receiving" function.
Thanks for all your praise
Very nice and handy app. Thank you.
Very nice, thnk you.
Thanks for this!
sounds nice
going to try
Hi,
A co-worker just give me a chinesse (clone-like) "Pressy" button (it is called "Klick").
My problem is with the camera fast capture. When I press the button in the lockscreen (or even with the phone locked), the system tries to take a photo, but when I review it in the gallery, is all black :crying:
I think that you cannot take a photo without launching the camera app. It's a pitty. So no luck for me. Any ideas?.
Thanks in advance.
Solved. It was a software issue. I've tried with another app and it works now.
Moderators: please delete this thread if you want.
can someone post a pic? How does the button look once it's in the headphone jack?
