I've seen some posts asking about removing the damn clock from status bar in gingerbread. I've searched and find out it's possible and kinda simple. So i did it
Below you can see the results, and below them you got instructions and download.
This mod is for deodexed JVH only! Flash it over JVO/JVB/JVK etc, or not deodexed JVH, and you got a bootloop ready.
Tested only on GT-i9000.
Theme is only modded for "no-clock", and few icons:
- WiFi icons / signal icons / battery icons
ZIP's are for CWM3.

Ok, lets go:
1. Backup your files!
FOLDER: system/app
-MediaProvider.apk
-Settings.apk
-SystemUI.apk
FOLDER: system/framework
-android.policy.jar
-framework.jar
-framework-res.apk
2. Be sure to copy both flash files to your storage. The "no-clock" and the original theme! If something goes wrong you can always get back to recovery by using the 3-buttons combo and flash original theme. Please keep that in mind!
3. Go to recovery and choose "install zip from sdcard". Then tap "choose zip from sdcard", and navigate to 'XWJVH_Gingerbread_v6.1-noclockmod.zip'. Flash it.
4. Go back in recovery and reboot device. Voila!
BEWARE! - First boot is long - even 5min. It's normal, don't panic!

I would not be able to compile all of this is, if it wasn't for Paul627g and his post in Epic 4G farm here on XDA-dev's. Great job finding that mate!

If someone want to see it in other samsungs GB based rom just notify dev's about it, or... do it yourself!
In Paul627g post theres a short but very good tutorial on how to disable status bar clock. From me one tip: to properly decompile "SystemUI.apk" we need "twframework-res.apk". And thats it. Good luck!

These not, but mod can be easily applied in other roms / miui.
Never used miui before, but don't miui have option for hiding clock in statusbar?

I think It's because your rom isn't deodexed or some recovery error..
try to use custom or deodexed KPN based rom

I've found a bug gan, when I typing in selection mode and another options like cut, copy, paste I'll get FC then.
I'm using mono theme centered clock.
I hope this will get fix soon because I'm very lovin it

I am experiencing same thing. Fc on select word...etc. Other themes seem no problem.

thats because there is only a file missing in framework.res ... in the folder--> anim! you can replace it with that... it works for me in my theme!
this is the name of the file:
zzzzz_tw_cursor_controller_menu_show.xml
you can extract it from any other kpn 2.3.3 theme ... and put it in the anim folder! it works fine for me! i think seilent only forget to put that file in his theme

Install wasn't successful in kpn coderom. Weird, got a semibrick and I flashed meizu again and got a weird lockscreen.
Edit: Ah problem, problem. Holding home to start recent apps popup leads to reboot from bootanimation. Holding power button to start power menu has the same effect. Seems like meizu and mono uses the same flashing script while this changed something that flashing another theme cannot change.

Because I flashed coderom over KPN.. didn't realise the KPH framework will affect. Normally reflashing another working theme will solve problems but instead everything became SO WEIRD hahaha...

You first need clockworkmod for Ace. Go to the galaxy Ace development section and search for that thread. Install as instructed.
Then, come back here and follow the instructions.

Tested on Fla.shX2 - Working Fine...

so i want to port this to ace, so basically we just replace the ace's drawable-mdpi to the theme's drawable-mdpi right?

okay, i got it working, i get the notification bar work, but some icons like battery and data are using both icon, the new and old one, there are like switching. haha. will upload some screen shot soon.

do you see the notification icon changing? maybe because there 2 files of the same icon. i'll take a look later.
if somebody experience enough, please try to fix this, cheers.

finally got all icon working. but it has serious flaw, the battery keeps showing on charging after i have remove the charger. I think the problem with xml, i kinda noob with this,

There are 2 different notification bar icons located inside framework-res.apk and SystemUI.apk

I just installed it on gingerreal 1.2 and i can confirm it works ok.
Actually like cross21 noted there is something wrong with the battery percentage. Mine was stuck at 90% for a while then it suddenly fell to 80%.

Can you add extended power settings for this theme?
And if I change the wallpaper to another, how can I go back to your wallpaper theme?

The battery percent is stuck every 10%. Can you fix it? It would be super cool to have advanced power button stuff like Reboot, Firmware and that kind of stuff Thanks 4 the Theme it PWNZS bro.
