You need an apk decompiler, compiler, and signer. I actually just finished mine
All you need to do is crinkle decompile the apk, edit the keyboard thumbnails, sign and recompile. Its easy

Theres a thread in this section called swype morphs, download one you like put on sd and use the free app metamorph to apply, less hassle then the manual method

Can some one start to theme the new swype. if I knew where to start I will give it a try. Another thing I tired looking for the new swype I installed in the system/app folder but its not there? Wtf is that all about.

I have a older version of swype (the one with pop up box),
That never asked for a update and works fine, but new version I had was asking for a update, so my question is:

Tried qpst changing banner.... Didn't work. How do you change the carrier name in notification bar when dragged down? And in apps, and about phone menu..... Its .net sprint anymore. Its frashed to pageplus (Verizon) but I want it to say Moparfreak.... On my motorola I put an xml file into /data and changed eri that way....

What rom are you using? Most likely you need to pull the framework-res.apk and decompile it edit the eri.xml in the res/xml folder then recompile the framework-res.apk and push it back to the phone.

Thanks. But now...... How do I do this for sure without bricking my device? I want to just change it to say Moparfreak in the pull down task/main menu bar, maybe about phone settings say Verizon or Moparfreak....... I do not want to brick this thing. Totally new to Samsung and u can't just sbf the stock ROM back on

The next DPI that would not influence the market is 160. But thats really bad on our S2s. Gives a lot of errors due to everything thinking its a tablet.
Or you can do 240 dpi
But here is a flashable ZIP that will put a modded market and GSF onto the device. I personally modded the market but i had troubles with the GSF but someone already modded it. Cant remember who but thanks to them
Alright what you need to do.
Go into your apps slide to "all" find Google Play store and Google Services Framework, force stop both of them, and clear data on both of them. reboot to recovery and flash attached zip. You must clear data for them both in order for the patch to take effect.

Is it possible to to take that effect and apply this to my own custom wallpaper?

If I'm understanding you correctly you want to open the apk you downloaded from the play store.
Use a root file app like root explorer and go to system/apps. Find the apk and copy it to your sd card. Then transfer it to your computer and use apktool to decompile the apk.
That's one way to do it. There are others but that's one to get you started.
Edit. .. Now I would email the dev of that app to ask permission to use a part of his app to create your own.

I saw it asked in the FK23 threads and it peaked my curiosity, so a little searching and some messing around and here's what I came up with..

He has made an app that will do this and he also has a mod for the sgs3 :beer:
Edited the guide and mod I made out as the app does this flawlessly, just make sure you have an updated version of busy box :beer:
Was given permission by rickythefox (Thank him in his thread please ) to port his mod for 12 apps listed when headphones are connected. So here is the new ported 12_app_headphone_mod.zip - 249.81 KB
Also, I forgot to mention, you need to download the app rickythefox made here in order for this to work!

You can remove apps you don't want.
Select menu and sort apps.
Select 5 apps and sort them how you want.
Close the app and plug in your headphones.
