So here is the problem and what I've done so far:
My power button is broken, as in it doesn't work at all and it used to work a little bit but now it is just shot. So this obviously makes it kinda hard to do anything in recovery since the power button is used to select things. I had Amon Ra v2.2 installed and flashed clockwork 3.0.0.5 in an attempt to use Rom Manager to automatically wipe and flash roms. I know that isn't the best idea and I found that out. When I tried this process everything seemed fine but when once I got to the boot animation I was thrown into a bootloop. Now what I've tried is to wipe everything via adb and then restore a backup via abd as well. The problem is that the nandroid-mobile.sh restore command didn't work (I believe the every was something like 'sbin:sh: nandroid-mobile.sh not found'). I understand that I can do all of these things through fastboot as well but I tried that a couple months ago and it did not turn out well. That time my power button started working partially after a day so I could navigate into recovery and do things manually. But as I said the power button is completely broken now. Also I already tried taking it to sprint and they said is was a problem with the motherboard (probably dropped it or something).
Having said that I would appreciate anyone helping me to wipe and flash a rom via adb or fastboot. Please give me clear instructions that are guaranteed to work because I am kinda a noob at this. (Also I have spent about 6 hours trying to figure this out so please to get pissed at me for not trying) Any help?

So for some reason last night I wasn't in my right mind (think alcohol) and I installed the latest RUU on my rooted inc. I *think* I was thinking with S-OFF i would keep root..
Yeah... F Me..
So right now I have a stock OS.. which to me is slow as all hell..
I cant boot into a recovery - phone vibrates 3 times.
I tried tossing the original recovery back on there (from adryln) - no love.. same thing.
adb - root denied..
Tried unrevoked - no love.. never installed the recovery partition correctly it seems (waiting for root)
So how the hell do i get this thing back to a point where I can re-root... or at least get clockwork back on here. Anyone go through this?
from the unrevoked wiki:
When I try to get into Fastboot by pressing VOLUME UP and booting the phone, my phone instead buzzes three times and acts dead. What happened?
The S-OFF update also enables Qualcomm Diagnostics mode on your phone, which is entered by doing what you just did. You can exit this mode (and boot normally) by removing the battery and USB cable.
That's fine and dadny.. but clockwork wont push back...
thanks
Cal
Edit: I think Im getting somewhere.
I repushed the original recovery. still got the 3 buzzes when trying to go from hboot to recovery.
pulled the battery
flashed the original recovery again
rebooted - this time i got the trianagle! woohoo - stock recovery took.
rebooted. copied over clockwork zip.
hboot - flashed clockwork recovery.
Rebooted hboot > recovery - and whalla clockwork was there...
flashed superuser - rebooted back to hboot > recovery and clockwork was there.
wipe data/cache
restoring from a heavily customized backup atm.. will update..
Edit again...
Restore completed.. I hope nobody had to go through that panic..
lesson learned : dont drink and flash..
How can i remove this topic?

Make sure you're pushing volume down and power for recovery. Volume up and power makes it vibrate, that's for Qualcom diagnostics I believe.
I was.. then selecting recovery once in hboot/fastboot. I never had an issue there.
it was once i selected recovery...
even now, holding down and power gets me 3 buzzes still..
but.. my rom is back

At the Time I could not.. Didnt have root. (even downloaded superuser and it couldnt add the zip to /sdcard for root.. not that it would have mattered at the time.. no recovery)
Im all set now though..
end result was I had to flash the stock recovery multiple times before I could flash clockwork back...

Well I'm glad you figured it out.
my situation was, i was running a custom rom, when i tried to flash a new kernel. disaster as i done it wrong and ended up stuck at the splash screen. not a problem as i thought i'll enter into recovery screen. disaster again. the phone powered down then rebooted and got stuck at splash screen. not a problem as i'll just use adb. device was recognised as device serial came up but disaster yet again. it wouldn't reboot into bootloader. i tried to power the phone off so i could save the battery and look for an answer and yup you guessed right again. another disaster. it would just power off and switch on again to the bloody splash screen. if your still reading this, my fix is coming up.
what worked for me was............disconnect the damn USB lead, then i entered the bootloader and got into my recovery.
yup it really was as simple as that.
yes i did feel like a complete noob
yes i did have a nandroid back-up.
yes it did recover without any problem.
yes i did spend ages on it getting frustrated.
yes i learned my lesson.
i hope this helps as i spent about 90 mins reading all the other guides but they all used adb/ recovery.
so just remember, try disconnecting the usb lead before trying to enter into bootloader/recovery
This morning I was using font installer to change my system font . I guess somewhere along the way something got messed up because when I went to reboot it gets to the boot animation and turns off. Not exactly a boot loop but useless anyway. I could just go into recovery and reflash. The problem is I can't get the phone into recovery. I use TWRP. I hold volume up and down and power, the TEAM Win blue screen and logo comes up but then what do I do? If I keep holding it down then it just goes into that mode where it vibrates every second and nothing happens.if I let go then the blue logo screen goes away and it tries to boot up normally again. What am I missing here? Why can't I get into recovery so I can reflash... Thanks for all Your help guys!
have you tried using adb commands? Also if you have not gotten into recovery as of now you just have to keep trying with the vol and power key buttons you will get it.
ADB choices
Plug phone into pc and type adb reboot recovery and hope for the best
I think you might be able to reflash/reinstall the recovery using adb commands and that might work too. Worst comes to worst, you could try using ODIN to restore your recovery or whole phone, but you'll probably lose anything not on SD.
And I haven't used font installer in ages, but I had issues with it on my SGSII because I think it flashes system files; I know it doesn't help now, but I'd stick to using font apks, since our phones support that.
Russian smashed across the interwebz from my Galaxy S2.
Sometimes this happens with fonts that are not designed for whichever version of android you are running. Its not all of them believe me, as well as this is honestly an easy fix. This is why I believe in knowing everything about your phone prior to doing stuff to it and knowing how to escape 90% of the issues that may come your way.
Thanks alot. the annoying part is that TWRP blue screen comes up but nothing happens. It just kinda flashes like a crt tv off and then goes into the vibrate every second thing. I typically do alot of reading and research prior to doing anything and I used to use the font app before on the HD2 so I was suprised this happened. I guess you live and learn. I just thought that was one of the benefits of having a recovery so you Could fix stuff like this. it doesn't help if you Can't even get into recovery. I never had this problem with Cwm Recovery.
I got it to work! I guess it's all about the timing for when to release the buttons to get into recovery. I flashed the rom back and all is well. Or at least getting there. Thanks everyone for the help. Hopefully this thread will help someone else in the future. Lesson Learned: Don't give up on trying to boot into recovery. It will work. You just have to release the power and volume button at just the right time to get everything going. Lesson 2: Don't use the font installer app....
My daughter has this phone and she gave it to me to fix it was doing the same thing as stated in op kept rebooting on its own and would vibrae over an over , playing with the power button it would try to reboot sometimes it would get to the home screen but would rebot again i took the back piece off and cleaned around the power button and i would try to go into recovery but it kept rebooting, i kept trying and messing around with it and i got it to go into recovery and just enough time to clear cache brfote it robboted angian by itself still same thing, kept at it and got it to go into recovery again but i accidentally push update adb and it started to do what it does when you pushed that but i kept pressing power from a panic then i finally rebooted successful now im currently got it working its plugged into my computer it installed successfully but i don't see the storage on my computer, it does not have a sd card in it tho i have one to put in it and it does not have a sim card it it either tho i have the one my daughter gave me that she had to to her phone, i quickly turned on usb debuugging incase i need to odin firmware or something im not sure what do do from here so im asking any one that might know what i should do? If it was the power button i clean it as best as i can and aired it out too, im thinking this might tho do it again since im not sure what fixed it to this point except from what i did to it from what i wrote here. Please if anyone has any ideas out there so i can keep this thing fixed let me know in your replys TY!

First off, that's one hell of a long sentence!
Had you (or your daughter) recently installed a ROM and forgot to factory reset (clear all caches) the phone after doing so? Many at times, this is what causes boot loops. And you cleared cache, which I think has resolved the problem. However, MAKE A BACKUP on your phone (and onto your computer, just in case the phone hard-bricks) using your Recovery right away! Once you make the backup, there's no need to worry about whether you soft-brick your phone again; you can simply restore that backup. It's also highly possible that it was your power button, but since you said you did clean it up thoroughly, it might just be the cache preventing you from rebooting normally.
Either way, it's good to hear you got your phone working now. I would highly recommend that you make a backup before doing anything else with the phone - just to be on the safe side. Good luck!
I was on stock F240L20D, 4.4.2 Kitkat, rooted, PhilZ Touch 6 installed. I've tried some ROMs before but reverted back to this one. So, basically, I've been to the recovery several times, but only used the ADB method to access it, and I've made several backups too.
However, one thing that happened today has frustrated me completely. Long story short, I thought about making a backup again, although this time, I used the power keys to get to the recovery instead of the ADB method, backup completes successfully, nothing wrong just yet, but just as I tap on 'Reboot System Now', it boots back in to recovery.
I've tried everything, tried using all the ADB commands, even going through all the options in the recovery, but it always seems to boot back in to the recovery. Really can't figure out what's happening. Any help would be extremely appreciated.
UPDATE: So I've flashed a KDZ, the Lollipop one using the LG Flash Tool. It's taking a bit too long to start, currently stuck at the U+ Lte logo. I hope it gets fixed.
UPDATE 2: It says Android is upgrading, YES YES!!!!! This is so exciting, but I'm still not convinced.
With most of cwm version after 6.4.7, any time you use power + volume up to access the recovery, you will get the boot loop. Go here and down load the zip file from the first post. Flash the zip and you should be go to go.
