dear all,
i upgraded my dopod 838pro (HK hermes), i got an english rom, which i'm happy with.
i installed CE star as a chinese & japanese support for my mail & web support, but i noticed after installing it, my push mail & windows live can't sync & connect.
my PIE is working flawlessly, i can read chinese & japanese.
anyone has any solution to over come push mail & live messenger?

I have CE-start embedded into the cooked rom myself...haven't try the push email yet...due to a company email server upgrade..will let you know if there's issues.
thx trashcan, btw i'm using the version "2.8 r3" of CE star

As I recall, you have to set you region to United States. reboot and try again

I just tried with the same setting and confirmed that I have the same problem. One kluge way to work around it is to install Monster Chinese 5.3 Core (without SIP) as the Engine and then install PenPower as the Chinese/Japanese Input. Seem to work so far.

thx for the hint, i tried your suggestion.
installed monster chinese 5.3, one thing for others to notice, u need to set the region to US after installing, or u'll get an error like CE star

well....is there any method that can eliminate the tray icon of CEstar??
im using htc x01ht with ce-star 2.8 r3a and i don't have problem sync with live or mail2web exchange server, the only problem is i can't sync with my active sync with my vista, haha(can sync via bluetooth but not usb)
any short tutorial on how to cook a rom with ce-star built in? (i am using schaps, so the best thing possible is to cook wince.nls and sunglobe.ttf (well in fact other files as well) into the rom. any idea where to start?

So me thinks what about getting it on the Asus P526. It appears that there are versions about on the russian, persian and chinese sites.
My question, has any one in UK got this up and running and any advice on the best place ( by that I mean the easiest) to download and install?
I have downloaded Crazybain .rar but it appears to be password protected, and I have also tried to log on to the Russian sites but, I am having problems logging on at present.

The market is always connected to the language of your phone. So you cannot have two different languages for market and phone. As a result, to get english-language in the market, you have to set the language of your phone to english.

So, I changed to CyanogenMod on my Wildfire (BUZZ), and well, I just wanted to get back to the Official Rom, i didn't find a good alternative to the social networks integration that HTC use in their Rom.
So, I have tried every single RUU in shipped-rom.com, and with everyone I have those problems (which are small, but problems after all), I can't choose French, Spanish, etc, with the intenational keyboard, I just have the option to english (if i selected another language in my system) or asiatic stuff if i have my system in english.
And, moreover, the Android Market (which is a very very old version) doesn't update to Google Play, so I can't use the market desktop interface to download things.
And that's all!

If u want HTC sense back without all these problems, root again but this time install another Rom instead of cyanogen, the best sense based rom in my own opinion is rempuzzle, you will find it much faster than stock Rom and the store will update to the play one.

This is my first post here on xda, so please help me if this is not the right place for this question...
I have installed Sandvold ICS Beta 0.7 on Htc Desire and it runs qiute fine.
However, when i set the keyboard to Danish, and uses the letter 'L', it often crashes the keybaord.
It happens when i use double l's - like in the word 'ellers' (it will crash after pressing the second l)
If i change it to english (haevn't tried other than these two), there are no problems.
I have never seen this on other versions (stock 2.33 or CyanogenMod 2.3.7)
Can this be related to his ROM, or is it a general ICS issue?

Updated to Sandvold Beta 0.8.1 and still have this issue...
Solved: After installing v13.1 and choosing extended dictionary the problem seems gone...
