Hey guys,
This has already been found in the orther threads on xda but i thought i would bring this to the SGS2 forums. Video Live Wallpaper is an app in the market that will allow you to set any video with any video format and set it as you live wallpaper. It can Read from your memory card or from internal memory. Very cool app and i have been using it for a few months on different devices and doesnt drain battery as fast as i thought.
Also this is another app called tubemate which will allow you to download any video from youtube straight to your phone. with these apps together i was able to find music videos and have them set as my wallpaper and also have them set to change after each video. pretty cool find and much thanks to the dev who created the apps.
***tubemate is not in the market you will have to seach for it ....google tubemate apk android*****

Nice concept. Will try it out.
also when downloading videos make sure you download the correct resolution that fits your phone ex: dont download 1920x1080 if your phone only supports up to 720p lol
nice!, i'll play with it
Is it possible to make a LWP from this video

I mean running with 3D accelaration like 3D hunted house.
You can download video live wallpaper from the market. It's the easiest way to use any video as a live wallpaper. Hope this helps.
+1, good app, and works well.

Why are the videos on my Galaxy Nexus pixelated when watching HD videos on YouTube? I watch 720p videos and HQ is selected in the YouTube player and they are not crisp, they look bad.
How can I fix this?
Nobody has this issue??
depends on the video ur viewing....for example if u look at a 720-1080p music video it looks pretty good =)
but uhm.....theres no solution that i kno of using the youtube app, best way is always to dl high def and dump into ur phone
Havent noticed this issue. In fact its the opposite, watching 720p cideos look so excellent on this phone i cant stop using youtube.
If you watch a 240/320/480p video OP it is going to look like **** on any device, ESPECIALLY the higher resolution screen you play it on. Play Standard Definition video on an HDTV...and then play that same video on an SDTV and it will look better on the SDTV. When you play something of lower resolution on a high resolution display its going to look like a stretched out mess.
Play a 720p video on the Galaxy Nexus and you will be impressed.
This for example has a good resolution and should look great on the GNex. Try it...

Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
Ok guys this is crazy.
I played the video on my channel on youtube with wifi on and the video looks bad and grainy with HQ selected in the youtube player (my video is a 720p HD video). I looked right now again a few hours later at the same video on wifi and now it looks sharp and nice. I didn't change anything....I don't know what happened but hopefully it stays this way.
I just finished watching the Samsung demo for the Note II to try to get some pointers. I noticed that the gallery shows animated thumbnails for videos. How do I enable this feature?
Solved it. It wasn't the gallery that had animated thumbnails. It is the video player.
That is one of my demos when I show people my Note 2. I fire up the stock video player app and they can see a screen full of movie thumbnails all playing at once. Bow down to the quad core!
