Right now I have an incredible with the $30 3g data, and I will be upgrading to an LTE phone around June/July. I was wondering if could somehow ensure I get the $30 lte unlimited?

No way to ensure it aside from getting your LTE phone and plan prior to them moving to tiered data and eliminating new unlimited plans.

I had a feeling this was going to happen.... With all the changes going on and all

Actually, I don't understand why they didn't cap it when they first introduced the tethering plans.
Their USB network devices all have data caps. How is tethering from a phone rather than from a USB stick any different?
So if we are using it on a rooted phone with the hacked hotspot and unlimited data plan, they can't cap that. Only for people paying the 29.99.

I was actually getting ready to just pay for the spot so I could keep the device stock for awhile, but...meh, whatever.

I purposefully just purchased the phone because I just knew this was going to happen. I think that it should be grandfathered for those of us who actually pay for and use the Hot Spot. I am loving the phone but not the recently implemented changes. Soooo, do I keep the SG2E4GT or take it back and use my MiFi from Millenicom that I am using that is $69.99 per month for 10GB on 4G or 3G when 4G isn't available-total of 20GB per month? (That is, when they decide to turn the Verizon LTE tower on. It's been 4 months!).

The article stated the change would be implemented for new and existing customers.
... well give it a year and all 3 carriers will be identical except for minor things and maybe 5$ price difference
Hello
Guys I was wondering should I get 2yrs contract or buy the phone and use pre-paid. I am already using the pre-paid 2GB plan but I was thinking about unlimated plan but for unlimited plan I have to buy post-paid.
Suggestion would be awesome.:cyclops:
It depends, do you need unlimited data? & prepaid is $60 flat (for the 2GB plan) and contract is usually more for the same plan + tax. I wouldn't get a contract unless I was getting a family plan. If you constantly go over 2GB upgrade to 5GB & if that isn't enough then go for the unlimited plan.

Thanks it totally make sense, 2GB is enough for me for sure cause most of the time I am on wifi.
Why not use straighttalk or simple if you want to use 2gb? Cheaper that's for sure

Impossible because simple mobile uses t mobile towers.

Dollar for dollar you are better off buying outright. You will pay way more in the long run on contract. And yes. Depending on your location, simple and straight talk both use T-Mobile towers.

on verizon ATM and wanting to get back on att - looking to see if the loop hole still working on att since i have unlimited data on verizon atm. i was told i need an iphone 2g and need to activate the via itunes and pick unlimited data /200 txt and then call nd upgrade unlimited data to the 4g unlimited data - can anyone point me in the correct direction or let me know if it STILL works? thanks
From what I have read that no longer works.
I got all the way to finding an old 2g several months ago. Reading at that time the loophole had been closed. If it has reopened I may look into an un activated sim and give it a try.

Try T-Mobile I pay $20 for unlimited data. In 3 days used up a almost 2gb. I rarely worry about switching to Wi-Fi unless i am in a ****y area for reception

When do they begin to throttle your data speeds? AT&T is 5GB (thank god today started a new billing cycle)..
I read on Slashdot that att doesn't track port 53 (dns) traffic.. To cheat you could in theory just get a tiered plan and do all Web traffic through a port 53 proxy....

So Sprint has a banner on their website that if you sign up now you are guaranteed unlimited talk, text and data for life. So I guess that means the unlimited plans are going away soon.
Probably.... Sadly the new plans are more expensive than what I have now... And if you have a corporate discount, they will only discount the data portion on the new plans.
Now with soft bank on the their side line they can do or undo.

Does this mean all original Sprint Customers are set for unlimited for life too?
Well i have the simply everything for 99.99 + the 10 dollar premium
Total 109.99
The New MY ALL-IN sm PLAN
110.00 and you get 5gb hot spot I don't think I have that in my plan
The question is if the 10 dollar premium data still exist? With this new plan.
If it is just 110 without the 10 dollar premium data add on its a good deal since you get the 5GB Hotspot included.
Update
After going to sprint not signed in ,I selected a phone and the My all IN sm plan and the 10 dollar Premium data is gone.
Well its not gone they just added it to the plan.
So for 1 penny more you get the 5gb hotspot ..sweet
If you don't want the hotspot it costs 50 dollars for unlimited talk and text and 30 for unlimited data. So it is cheaper than simply everything.

Yes !! I see that now, I ignored the cheaper plan... was just seen the highest plan since that's what I have.
So I do not need the hot spot so I am gonna save 30$
My sister has 3 phones and has 1500 shared and unlimited for 180ish with discount.
Can she stay the same or does she have to upgrade to this new plan?
Which is 120 talk for 3 phones + 90 data for 3 phones I guess they took the minute plans away.
And how does the discount work? I see it varies upon how u use the data please correct me
Please advise Traybent
First phone 50$ Unlim Voice/Text 30$ Unlim Data = 80$
2nd. phone 40$ Unlim Voice/Text 30$ Unlim Data = 70$
3rd. phone 30$ Unlim Voice /Text 30$ Unlim Data = 60$
Each additional phone up to 10 lines = 20$ Unlim Voice/Text 30$ Unlim Data = 50$.
This plan layout does not include the 5gb Hotspot but its cheaper then the unlimited everything plans. Also you can replace the 30$ Data package with 20$ 1gb data package. If its not a smart phone its 20$ for unlimited data or 0$ with no data.
The unlimited data plans for sprint arnt going anywhere, these plans are being offered because of Softbank wanting to put more pressure on ATT / Verizon for cheaper service plans and guaranteeing unlimited data for the life of your line.

Yeah... But it's not as cheap as the everything plus family 1600. I've got three lines on that plan and I pay approx $180.
I guess if you don't get on the new plans, they probably will kick me off the unlimited data plan I have now.
Nope, the old plans are going to remain due to this reason exactly. They may end up adding additional plans in the end but for now, these are just new and not necessarily replacing anything atm.

They probably won't kick you off since they'll lose a customer. I think they'll do something like Verizon and ask to buy phone at full price to keep unlimited.

These plans are rip off if you already have sprint and are on a family plan.
As a broke college student, I use my unlimited data as my main personal internet at home (Rooted wifi tether).
If sprint were to cut that, I'd be screwed.
All I know is that if Sprint doesn't allow me to keep unlimited on my everything data plan I will be switching. I have been testing tmobile here where I live and they beat Sprint in speed every time. And inside a building I still get signal with tmobile compared to Sprint where I would have to force roam to be able to use the data.

Data roaming limit 100mb; talk roaming limit 800 min.

From what I read and understood they will guarantee unlimited data but not guarantee the price. So you can use all you want but we may change this plan to $xxx in the future.
Hey guys I'm on att prepaid which isn't horrible but 2gb of data cap is getting to me already lol is tmobiles prepaid plan truly unlimited or still has a 5gb cap?

I'm on the $30/mo plan with 100 mins. Data is unlimited, but 4G speeds are throttled after 5gb
I am on the Simple Choice plan, I pay $63/mo and have truly unlimited everything.
Awesome . Just realized that the att one m8 doesn't have the AWS band so I'll have lots of dead spots where there isn't 4g. Ie( out of my city).
