Hi All,
Just wondering if anyone uses Folder Organizer? I have an issue where my folders on the home screen lag/stutter when scrolling through.
Anyone else have this?
Yep scrolling isn't the smoothest here either.
One of the serious-est problems of android. Hard to find a simple folder like app/widget that runs smoothly

Damn =( The stock folders scroll smoothly but there's no way to organize the apps once they're in the folder which is the main thing I need

well.. yeah.. you either get a good app organiser app or launcher that is smooth but lacks ability, others that have abilities but also lag.
Anyway. I love android, yet I hate the way folders work. Drawers as well always lack something:/
Have you tried AutoAppOrganizer? It's lagged only every first run on system due to icon recaching but even launchers act the same but it could also manage uninstalled apps do and they're stay in folder (but different color) ready to be reinstalled from market or backup.
I have almost 1000 apps on my sgs2 but only few installed... but I know they will be ready in few secs if I need them

Try SiMi Folder. it lacks options such as uninstalling apps in the folder interface but its looks nicer and definitely a lot smoother than Folder Organizer.

Hey guys, I got the latest Android Market, it has a redesigned UI, and easier access to menus and such, here is the download link - http://cl.ly/2A420B3F0F451k161O2r
Give me a thanks if you like it!
wow that's crazy different. I think I like it haha.
This market is sooo cool!
wow. It took forever to load but thats so different. Reminds me of windows 7 phones.
EDIT: Added a picture for those who want to see it first.

You don't have to be rooted. It's just an APK

Save the file on your sd card then use an app like Super Manager or File Explorer to find it and install it
Amazing! Thank you for sharing!, May i ask where you found this?
Much Nicer!
I never really had an issue with the market app even coming from apples app store , but this just feels cleaner!
It's nice. I pushed it to my phone and had it replace the Vending.apk file in /system/app for my rom. It worked well. I didn't get any errors on the movies bit but it may wait until after the movies part is done to tell you that it doesn't work on root. Unless of course the changed that policy on movie rentals...
P.S. - I reverted to the old market. Didn't like the new one much.
I am quite cheesed off by the new one. How do I revert?

Just go to mannage applications and click on market. From there it should display an option that says uninstall updates. Just click on that and you should be good to go

I have this on my Nook. I like the old market better and don't need books, etc.

why do guys not like it? its nice, clean, works the same way but just adds more features. just curious.
It likes to not download apps I tell it to. i.e., click download "angry birds", says starting download forever.
Does the new market require WiFi connection for apps over a certain size? I can't download Adobe reader, which I've downloaded multiple times over 3g, on multiple ROMs, but can't get it to start over 3g. I'm on the newest MIUI build...
*edit- got it.... user error. Settings in the download app
I am loving the new stack widgets that ICS offers, but I was on a honeycomb tablet yesterday and it had a stack widget for the Android Marketplace - any chance of getting this on the nexus?
... Stack widget? whats that.

Unless I have got it wrong :/ - I believe a stack widget is one like the YouTube, Gallery and Google photos widgets that come as standard where you can scroll thru them?

Look at the above screenshots, I was on a transformer tablet yesterday at PC world and there was a widget like the ones above but it was for the latest marketplace apps, so i was just wondering if this was available for my phone
Isn't he asking if ics has the same market widget honeycomb does that you can slide through options like you can with sliding through photos and YouTube widget on ics

Oh ok, to be honest my marketplace widget and YouTube widget are automatically like that, maybe the OS can tell the difference but I don't have ics on my tablet to check it out

My marketplace widget looks like the below, so I was just wondering if they could be stackable tiles that I can easily flick through
I don't know why the ICS Market Widget isn't "scrollable" or "stackable" like the Honeycomb one....
Perhaps they can copy it over. I'm sure there is a backup of HC 3.2 Widgets in an installable APK file.

Bit late now for a reply but I thought I would in case anyone else had the same question.
The widget you showed is the play market widget, the stack widget is the previous (better in my opinion) market widget. To get the stack able widget you must revert back to android market (which would not be recommended, and if if possible probably difficult) or find the old widget from somewhere else, if not as an apk maybe found in an old rom. Hope I helped.
see picture;;
it will be really awesome to have this feature cuz removing big mess of all day one by one is really messy

That's what I don't get. The purpose of it is to switch quickly between apps. The task manager is there to sort out ram etc, not the recent apps screen.

Hi there,
Some people asked for something like that: A way to disable all lockscreen widgets in Jelly Bean.
This is a simple solution for the "problem":
An app that contains just a transparent widget.
Programming it was no big deal, but it might help some of you. Here you can see it "in action":

It should work on every ROM and every device as long as it is Android 4.2 or above.
I hope that I am not overstepping by making a request. I have been looking everywhere for a blank home screen widget but all there seems to be are lock screen widgets.. Could you pretty please make it so that this can also be added to the home screen? Is that a difficult thing to do?
Edit: apologies, I found something seconds after posting this..

Hi, I'm sorry for not replying earlier but I'm quite busy at the moment.
No, you don't ask for too much. That's a quite easy change and I'll do it as soon as I've got some spare time.
@Phenom2122: You can find the download of the homescreen version in the first post now.
I don't really know why the apk is so much bigger than the first one but I don't have the drive to search for the reason. However, it works perfectly. Enjoy it.

Very nice dude thank you very much! There are certain launchers that don't allow you to have a blank default home screen, this sorts that out

You're welcome.
nice share thx
This one seems very stupid, the ringtone needs to be loud, but notifications should not be as is I either bother everyone at work or I miss calls. How does one manage the notification volume separate from phone volume, normally I'd do so in 5.X from the quick setting icon when I change volume, but it still seems to want ringtone and notifications to be the same.
As it is I'm still using the Note 3 as I can not afford to miss calls or bother people at work, so currently the phone is little more than a paper weight, during business hours and more often than not switching sims after hours is not worth the effort. As is I'm worried I'll need to wait for CM 12.1 to actually be able to use the phone all the time.
Thank,
ERIC
I haven't tried it on the g4 but noyze should work and SoundHUD was forked off of it.
edit: soundhud seems to work but the ringer and notification icons are the same. ( I didn't do too much testing.)

You can try with Tasker. Setup an office profile based on your location, and as a task u can define all the volume levels u may need. Run it. Every time you'll be in the office, the volumes will be setup in auomatic way.
