Hello everyone i just flashed the cyanogen mod CM7-GX4 for the HTC Evo and there is no usb prompt when connected the usb debugging prompts comes up in the notification bar but not the usb for mass storage. I tried the Myns' Warm 2.2 and when i connect the cable it works just fine but everytime i flash the new Cyangen Roms i can't get the usb option. Please help because i love the cyanogen mod the only thing i am missing is the usb option.
Thank You
Congratulations, you're NOT running CyanogenMod, but a kang.
Here's the real CyanogenMod:
http://mirror.teamdouche.net/?device=supersonic&type=nightly
The REAL CyanogenMod does not have this problem.
EDIT: After looking at the ROM you were using,
CONGRATULATIONS! YOU'RE USING A DOUBLE-KANG. Not only is it a spin-off of CyanogenMod, but a spin-off of the CyanogenMod WiMax Alpha! Get the real version of THAT here:

Note what it says right in the OP:

Outstanding Bugs:
THE .34 KERNEL IS CRAPPY but you guys are impatient, so here
If you are using the .34 kernel, you won't be able to pull down the notification bar to transfer files to and from your computer. ADB transferring works just fine.
If you are using the .35 kernel (that comes with the ROM) and your phone is unplugged, wimax WILL NOT WORK if the screen shuts off for more than 3 minutes (the sleep bug of doom!!!). If you leave the phone plugged in, it works just fine.
If you lose your wimax signal, occasionally it will bounce from "Connecting" to "Scanning" and back forever. I know what is causing this bug, but I ran out of time to fix it. Workaround: reboot the phone.

thank you
thank you so much for the update and this experience has thought me to read more carefully before downloading
1. I'm running CM7 and whenever I go to flash a new nightly and Chad's kernel, I notice something strange with the battery gauge. If I'm plugged in, I notice that after I flash and reboot, my battery percentage will have gone up about 30-35%! Even if I'm not plugged in, it'll go up about 3%. Flashing a nightly and kernel only takes about 10 mins and there's no way its really charging that quickly. Wondering if anyone has any idea why this happens?
2. Recently upgraded from the clockwork version that comes with the latest unrevoked (2.5.x.x) to 3.0.0.7 (I have an AMOLED). I couldn't find any kind of changelog or description of what's different in the newer versions and was curious if anyone had info on that? Thanks.

Im not verified to post at the official Oxygen post, sp i had to make a new thread here, sorry for that!
Anyway, i have a issue with my HTC Desire (rooted with Oxygen v2.1.3 android 2.3.4)
When i connect it to my pc via usb, i never get over 250 kB/s, anyone know why?
I know someone had this issue with the older Oxygen roms, but i think it was solvev in the 2.0.0 version for most people?
BUT, when i copy from my phone to my pc, i get over 9 MB/S, this issue only affects when i copy from pc to phone
When i use my stock mem.card i get 4 MB/S, but then i have to turn off my phone and that just takes too long time.
Anyone know when Oxygen will get support for 720p recording btw?
Also, is there not possible to sync my contacts with facebook with oxygen?
Anyone?
Im thinking about leaving Oxygen and start using CyanogenMod, but i there also is alot of bugs there too..
The problem with USB performance is known. But i thought, its solved already. :O Just do a little search through the oxygen dev thread.
Nevertheless in my opinion you should stay with oxygen. i tried oxygen, cm7, gingervillain and some sense roms, and for *me* oxygen is the best. fast, clean, stable and just minor bugs.
if i really have this mass of data to transfer i use a card reader or transfer the data via ftp.
But of course it's your decision
You can also get really fast transfer speeds by booting into recovery and mounting the USB.
Ok, thanks guys, will try to use usb while in recovery mode, then =)
Hey guys

Mine is doing this now as well following AOKP Build 23. I haven't bothered flashing anything else yet as I was doing preliminary research before work to try to find out exactly what happened and how I could fix it. (No answer yet).
Edit: I found a solution. It won't automatically turn on anymore, but I can turn it on manually under Settings > Storage. Problem fixed (for me anyway).
no idia??how can improve this
i tried that still not working is there any way to uninstall the drivers from the phone?
Had this problem after installing AOKP 23 too. Have to turn on manually.
Working now.
Could be that you have a faulty USB port. Many have reported about this here http://forum.xda-developers.com/search.php?searchid=15930021
After installing a new kernel (faux 005 u) sometimes my device turns off when it's lock. It sometimes doesn't even reboot unless I plug it in. Does anyone have any idea what's wrong? Rooted, on carbon, latest nightly.
Fixed. Flashed m instead of u.
