[BOOTANIMATION] Nexus 7 boot animation, smoother, brighter, resized for Galaxy Nexus

Here is the N7 bootanim in 16:9 instead of the original 16:10, with some contrast/color corrections, and a higher fps
Put in /data/local and rename to bootanimation.zip
Enjoy!

No, the X version is the Jelly Bean bootanim, this one is specific to the Nexus 7 tablet

Only issue I'm having is I can't decide between the original or the new blue one haha!

The blue one its outstanding absolutely brilliant. I've got one question tough, after 5-8 seconds the screen decrease the brightness level and the boot animation doesn't look cool. I know it's not related to your work but do you know how to fix it?
Anyways I'm absolutely loving this thing. Thank you very much.

I think that's normal and with happens with all bootanimations.

Would it be possible to make a live wallpaper from the blue one? That would be amazing

Hmm I'll think about it.
As for the dimming effect that usually comes with a vibration, it usually means the boot is almost over; As far as I recall it's always been the case, but maybe the dimming can be cancelled, I'll see what I can find.

It was OK. But didn't work since I got new aokp jb 08 aug installed. I copied to /data/local n renamed. Still have aokp animation.
Anyone has this issue?

Have you tried Emerald Elegance theme? It's a green and gold theme that would fit nicely for a Zelda look.
Also, someone in the Nexus7 community made a boot animation of Link pulling the master sword that would go good as well.

Already working on a Zelda theme...sort of
I know this is an old thread, but figured I would reply anyway. I was working on an Ocarina of Time theme for iOS when my iPod Touch decided to jump out of my pocket while riding my bike downhill at about 20 - 25 miles per hour and shatter. I've been trying to learn how to make themes for Android so I could "port" that theme over into the Android world. If anyone can help me out with learning the easiest method of theme creation, then I'd be happy to bring a nice Zelda theme to you.

Flurry of new wallpapers coming, sign of new version coming?

Are you guys noticing the new wallpapers suddenly being posted on N4 and HTC one renders from yesterday? Previously the official render of Android AOSP used to be the yellow wallpaper on 4.2.
But from yesterday I am seeing two new wallpaper renders.

the blue one can be found in 4.2 as the virjog said and the other one looks to be a red phase beam wallpaper

I'm using the blue one as my main right now. It came in 4.2.
Also, not every render phone's wallpaper comes out. I remember some of the first galaxy nexus official renders had some sort of blue phase beam, but it was never released. I think the red phase beam looks killer, though.

I am using the PA rom and they never released the blue wallpaper with the rom,may be thats why I never noticed it. anyways the Red/orange phase beam is definitely new.

I think I have seen this blue wallpaper before...

Fellas, the blue one is the stock Nexus 4 wallpaper (one of four that didn't come to gnex). It came preinstalled together with jop40c (4.2). We can stop these speculations now

Err....not sure if I got your point. Are we discussing wallpapers' availability now or what they represent (potential incoming software upgrade?) ? The op mentioned these wallpapers as something new and possibly an indication that 4.3 was coming. With my post I just proved the blue wallpaper was actually old and thus couldn't be used as sign of upgrade being around the corner.

I found that the nexus 4 boot the galaxy s4 rom. Did our nexus boot this rom for nexus 4 or other?

*Facepalm* All that rom is is CM themed like TouchPiss. You could pull all of the sounds, wall papers and launcher from that rom and put them on your phone. Then you could install one of the the many TouchPiss themes out there. That would essentially give you what that rom is on the Gnex.

Ah, the cyanogenmod team might do this using a cyanogenmod rom but I dont think everything will be pure Samsung Galaxy S4 as framework might be different although its "Galaxy" Nexus. I could be wrong correct me if im wrong.

Based on CM10.1, you can expect some serious mimicking of Galaxy S4. Of course, this is all cosmetically S4 but it can certainly refresh your Nexus 4 experience.

Comments say that it does not have S4 calendar widget, so it probably doesn't have many changes aside from looks.
It's just CM10.1 with a theme, and sounds. You should be able to download the sounds yourself if you look around, and use a theme from the Play Store.

Why look around? The sounds, wallpaper, and launcher are in that download already. Download that ROM and pull them from it. The theme it uses is probably a regular t-mobile theme engine theme that you could pull from that ROM.
