Ok so here is my issue I hope some of you will have some incite.
I've been running CM7 7.0.3 for a while now but have been experiencing some issues so I wanted to go back to a sense ROM. I've flashed Skyraider 4.0 and Redemptive rEVOlution. Both give me the same problem after it flashes I reboot and get only to the 1st splash screen, HTC quietly brilliant. I've been using CWR 3.0.0.8 and RA_GNM 2.2.1, I get the same out come no matter what. If anyone has any suggestions I'm all ears.
Thanks

3.0.0.8 has a known issue of not completely wiping. Do it 3 times or flash 3.0.0.7. You need to wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache partition, wipe dalvik cache, then flash.

Thanks for the suggestion, I rolled back to 3.0.0.7 and still no luck. A little extra info just to avoid questions hboot .92 and 11.19 radio. This has got me stumped. I've tried roms both on rom manager and not on it. So I'm not sure what else unless the downloads were corrupted.

Use Clockwork 2.5.1.2 and report back and see what happens??
That did the trick man thanks to both of you

I will admit that I am a noob at this so... bear with the noobness
I have rooted my 3.30 EVO and have installed the Cyanogen 6.1.2 ROM. I backed up my nandroid and wiped using the partition option and the factory option as instructed in every tutorial. Cyanogen 6.1.2 works great in itself, the problem I'm running into is trying to install any CM themes...
I've tried installing the Project_BlissHD-v2.0_EVO_CM_6.1.2_signed theme .zip for CM 6.1.2 through the recovery (not even sure if this is the right way to do it), but every time I try, it tells me that the installation is aborted.
I wipe before each try and have even completely restored a backup and reinstalled with no success.
I have searched and searched for a thread that could help, as I didn't want to have to post a question if I could avoid it. So, how to I apply specific themes through CM? Here's what I've got:
ClockworkMod Recovery 3.0.0.2
Build 3.30.651
Used Unrevoked 3.3
And again, please forgive the noobness....
Clockwork 3.0.0.2 is only compatible with the new hboot. If you're on the old hboot, roll back to 2.5 and try it again.
I had the same problem .. I made a thread about it .. I'm about to try what BIG CHEEZE suggested
I use Amon_Ra ,myself. I would suggest using that one perhaps since it does a better job emptying the delvik cache.
Cheese, I'll try your suggestion about the rollback. I can just do that right in clockwork, correct? If that doesn't work, I'll try Jason's suggestion. Jason, which amon ra version?
And thanks to both of you!
Just use ROM Manager to roll back. You can flash Amon RA through ROM Manager as well.
You're welcome.
Use version 1.8 since I've been hearing some weird things about 1.9.
hummm
i get "An error occured while flashing your recovery" error when i tried to rollback to 2.5.1.4
I'm going to flash RA 1.8 right now.... let you know how she goes.
Ok, so here is how it went:
Flashed AmonRa 1.8 through Clockwork
Success
Booted into AmonRa recovery. Backed up a fresh nand, wiped DATA, CACHE and Delvik. Installed Cyanogen 6.1.2
Success
Cyanogen boots.
Success
Boot back into AmonRa. Repeat all the wipes. Proceed to install BlissHD pack for CM. Installs succesfully.
CM attempts to boot again, but just gets hung up on the splash screen, repeating a new splash every 3 seconds or so. Rebooted several times to see if that would help. No dice. Restored back up nand and am back to square one.
Suggestions?
It sounds like the theme you want is not gonna work with the stock cm6.1.2 kernel...my suggestion would be to try a different theme
I recommend barnacles10 ginger bread theme.

Also when you flash a theme...be patient on its first boot. Restarting during a boot that is loading files for your droid has had horrible results with my experience.
I was flashing a radio update and thought that boot loop was frozen..so I pulled the battery..restarted..and was stuck on the boot screen..then my battery dies while in the process of using hboot...and my usb cord wouldn't charge the battery..so I had to wait 7 days for a standalone battery charger to be shipped

That's kind of where I figured I was heading, jst. I'm going to play around with it tonight and I'll let you know tomorrow how it went. Might try completely different mods too... thinking about fresh.
Again, thanks a lot guys. BIG help.
The theme works great with cm 6.1.2. There are many people using it right now. I'm unsure of what could be happening here. Some phones are just picky. Mine for instance bootloops with any of myns roms as well as virus rom but I have no problems with other roms. I'm sorry my theme didn't work out for you.

Hey, it's no sweat! I've seen all the pics of your theme and I really wanted it. It's slick as all-hell, lol. And as for certain phones being picky, that's more than likely the case with my EVO. Since day one, my phone won't charge if turned off, and if I plug it in while it's off, I have to remove the battery to get it to turn on again.
Don't need to apologize to me... I should be thanking you for making something like this accessible to me!!!
You need the correct amonra recovery.

mikfroyo evo, with a side of aloysius 5 !
Alright, think I know whats up... I decided to humor a thought I had and install a fresh Cyanogen after a nand backup. I installed 6.1.2 and then installed the Gingerbread as recommended by jst. Only this time, I didn't wipe before I installed the theme. Worked like a charm. I'm going to try this with other themes too and see how it goes.

Been running gingervillain for 3 days now....I made a backup of my stock as always, and today I wanted to make a backup of GV or try restore back to stock clockwork recovery says it can't find my /system and ask me do I want to report a issue. Has anyone else had this problem, or what do you think is the cause of this. I guess I don't have a choice but to stick with Ginger Villain till my issue is resolved.

It's the version of ClockworkMod Recovery you're using. 3.0.0.0 is stable and can backup/restore Gingerbread-based ROMs, but a lot of the versions afterwards are pretty much broken (3.0.0.5 etc).
Here's 3.0.0.0 on mediafire:
http://www.mediafire.com/?f4s0nnh2878erns
...Also, you probably should have just posted this inside the Gingervillain thread, instead of as a new thread on the wrong subforum.

Try also wiping dalvik cache, it can cause hangups sometimes if left alone.
Though, usually if it's the dalvik cache, it's bootloops, not the HTC screen.
what do you mean by flashed stock
I have looked across this forum and two other forums and have not found an answer which will satisfy me.
I have successfully rooted and flashed different ROMs many times, so the whole process is not anything I don't understand.
I can successfully flash any of the Cyanogens, Incredibly Re-engineered, Redemption, and SkyRaider ROMs.
I CAN NOT flash but ONE ROM with 'Z' in the title and that is Incredibly Re-engineered Z. Every other ROM such as Super Z, Warm Z 2.2, IncDoes, Uber Z
My DInc will just sit at the HTC Incredible white screen when I reboot after a successful load via clockworkmod.
I have left it sitting for 30 minutes plus while sitting at work. Nothing. Only choice I have is to restore from backup to a working ROM.
Any suggestions?
The ROM's you quoted are mostly using ClockWorkMod Recovery version 3 for the install. If you are on CWM version 2 the result you are getting is kind of expected. The v3 scripts are not compatible with v2 but v2 does not know any better so tries to install it.
Go into ROM Manager and see what recovery you are on and use RM to install CWM v 3.0.0.7
I would then try installing the ROM with RM selecting the wipe option
SIDE NOTE: If you are on CWM v3 and you try to install a v2 based ROM CWM will tell you that it is outdated
That is what I saw on other sites, but I have the latest version of clockworkmod v3.0.0.8 and have flashed the ROMs successfully with it, but they just wont go past the HTC Incredible white screen. The ones that gave me script errors, I have flashed down to clockworkmod v2.5.1.7 or whichever i seen in the OP of that ROM
I just do not understand it. =( ... I dont wanna be limited
Sounds like it could be related to you not having a Samsung Fascinate. I'd try to get a Samsung Fascinate and then you might have better luck.
Get back to work.

You probably did not catch my recommendation to use 3.0.0.7. 3.0.0.8 has known problems with not clearing everything.
In ROM Manager at the bottom install CWM 3.0.0.7 and try flashing the ROM from the SD Card with ROM Manager and select the wipe option.

I might have to try this too as I'm having troubles installing roms and sticking in boot loop ..
If I change to CWM 3.0.0.7 from my current 3.0.0.8, will my previous backups on 3.0.0.8 still be useable through 3.0.0.7?
Thanks!

Yes your backups will work
I will give that a try. I currently have only two flashable files for clockworkmod ... v3.0.0.8 and v2.5.1.2
I'll try and find the previous versions of clockworkmod, nandroid backup my working ROM, wipe data/factory reset, cache and dalvik and try this one more again.

What version of clockworkmod are you using? And are you doing a full wipe? Data/cache at the least. 3.0.0.5 has wiping issues. And you would need to upgrade to 3.0.0.8.
Nope nightlys only work with clockwork mod 2..
I'm on 3.0.0.5. I'm upgrading now I'll let you know how it goes

im trying to flash Recharged rom, hybrid 3.5, rainy day, mik 2.5, salvage mod and sense.... im following the guides provided. Step by step and always get stuck on the white HTC Evo screen. weird part is no matter what rom i try Synergy is the only one that works.
**i tried updating radios, prl, wimax.... NO LUCK
**i tried re-formatting my sd to fat32 and partition ext3... NO LUCK
**i tried re-installing my recovery Amon RA...NO LUCK
Ive been flashing for about 1-2years and never had this problem. this began happening after installing "bootmanager app" dont know if its related.
If anyone ever had a similar problem or has a solution and can direct me the right way i would greatly appreciated. Any help would be helpful... thanks in advanced
