Can you suggest me what screen protector should I buy? I want something that doesen't attracts and has a good sensitiveness. I have a stylus for my galaxy SL and im worried that the stylus mig because of the screen protector. I don't want to use anti-fingerprint not because of clarity but be sensitiveness of it. Im looking forward to Clarivue but im still not sure...
Hope you guys can help me what screen protector should i buy.
Empty pocket is all you need mate, why have an led screen worsened by a protector?
this sounds very new to me i always hear of zagg but not of these
I'm using Adapt screen protectors for a couple of years already and I didn't had any irritations. For my next phone I would buy a Adapt again.

Well, I tested so many clear screen protectors, Martins, Clarivue, disagu... and ALL ARE THE SAME, same visibility but different price. I got 6x clear Sigu for 2.5 dollars so don't waste your money in a 12 dollar screen protector.

how about SGP Ultra Clear or Ultra Oleophobic? I'm using POWER SUPPORT for my iPhone 4. Too bad, they don't make screens for android devices
SGP I find are some of the best available slightly more expensive that non branded but they are worth it.

I suggest SPG product too, they are more reliable than non brand products.
Zagg is good too.
I'll chime in on the SGP products too. I've used both the Anti-Fingerprint (which I know OP isn't interested in) as well as the Oleophobic one, and I prefer the feel to glass alone.
I use a htc screen protector without brand, but it still works great. So I never believe an expensive protector could do better.
do what normal ppl do get an ottor box yes widely known for apple products but u can custom order for other phones but instead of 30 dollars there 60+s&h

It looks like the phone might finally be releasing soon, so I am about to buy a screen protector. There are a few kinds out on the market right now, so I am curious about what other people are getting, or have had experience with in the past.
These are a few that I have seen so far. The prices posted are from the products main website, and may be cheaper or even more expensive from other sources.

I know there are some cheap screen protectors on ebay, but when the phone costs this much I don't mind paying a few bucks extra to get better quality.
My current phone has a matte screen protector, but there is a loss in screen quality, so with the new phone I am going to try to avoid the matte, even though I HATE fingerprints.
I put a ZAGG invisibleSHIELD on my iPad, and I'm not really impressed with it. I guess it is doing it's job. I don't care for the texture, fingers don't slide easy, and you can definitely tell there is a screen protector on there. It looks like the Skinomi TechSkin is a very similar product, they even have a picture of the film being poked with a ball point been, just like ZAGG does.
Does anyone have any input on these, or maybe another brand to consider? I know another user posted some info on the Steinheil products, and I am considering trying the Ultra Crystal.
Try out ghost armor. I have it on my phone and it has a better feel than those invisible shields. You can barely tell its there.

I added it to the line up. Does it have the orange peel texture/look like the invisibleSHIELD?
Steinheil. You'll never buy anything else again.

ghostarmor is too much you can find the same thing on ebay for $5 bucks shipped.
the zagg covers get sticky if your hands are a little sweaty.. but they are prectically indestructible... I found it so much of a hassle that I took it off and went with the plain plastic ones that vzw sells even though I have to change them every few months
I ordered some of the steinheil ones, but I am going to buy the verizon ones until they get here. I can see which ones I like better.
You can add Boxwave to that list. I prefer them to any of the others I've tried on my Inc (liked the BW Crystals better than the Steinhills).
Crystal (I prefer these over any others)
ClearTouch Anti-Glare
The ghost armor, I have not seen any orange peel on it.
And the ghost armor is the same price as the invisi shield.

+1 for Boxwave. Their antiglare is the best I've tried and I've tried Verizon's brand, Steinheil, and Seidio. It does pixelate the the screen a bit but it's far more transparent than the others and it feels terrific.
Just bought a ultra crystal (steinheil) on ebay, interestingly enough its cheaper then direct from them (13.99 + free shipping vs 13.99 + $2.40 shipping)
You can get free shipping through the sgpstore ebay store.
Previously, I've sworn by the Invisshield, but as mentioned, I'm not a fan of the texture on it. I've placed an order for the steinheil, and I'll let you all know once that and my phone show up
my friend gave me a 3-pack of verizon branded screen protectors with my tbolt purchase, he said consider it free on my employee discount or something
anyway, he put one on for me and it feels like there's not even a screen protector on it but i can still see it, no idea on how protective it really is tho...
My favorite is this "Remove before use" brand I'm currently using
I ordered a $1.14 "cheapo-tek" from amazon and will report back with my mediocre results early next week
I assume it's just the same bulk material most of these use.

SGP labels all of them "Ultra":
Ultra Crystal - Clarity
Ultra Fine - Fingerprint reduction
Ultra Oleophobic - Oil resistant
Their marketing doesn't matter much to me, I've just had really good experience with them in the past.
Here is my experience on the whole deal. In the past I tested all kinds of covers full body, really good ones, and cheap. With my last incredible i decided to try none. I even dug into the screen with scissors and a fork just to test. Nothing no scratches. Also not like one of those lite scratch tests on youtube. I used some force. Now I'm not saying go test it just that the new glass they use is quite durable. Over the year that I used the phone i never got any scratches. My advice would be to save the money get a cheap regular screen protector if you have to or none at all. If you are really accident proned get an otterbox. Just don't waste all the time and money i did researching and trying all the screen protectors.
So I'm aware that there are tons of threads around about screen protectors and I just want to make a poll for people without the screen protectors so they'll know what to get I've included some coupons for each one
I'll be naming the major brand ones only since they're easier to identify.
Please tell me if there are any other brands that I'm missing

Not all of them are wet application
Only skinomi, xo, and flex are (I'm not sure about zagg)
And wet application shouldn't damage your beloved phone since it dries fairly quickly!

Zagg is wet also so it would have been easier just saying the Ultra Oleophobic is the only non-wet one.
I bought one called iskinz locally in Canada. I really like it and I think it's a lot smarter that they use an alcohol base for the installation instead of water base. It evaporated so fast and I had zero haze or bubbles like I did with all the others that use water.

I installed the SGP flex quite easily.
Wet isn't as risky as people make it out to be.
the ones i picked up at the verizon store
$3 ones from Amazon that fit, look, and feel perfect.
I haven't bought a screen protector yet, but I'm planning to when I pick up my Verizon LTE Galaxy Nexus (YAY!!!!). I want to understand the types of screen protectors out there because I usually kind of get whatever is out there.
I'm assuming wet applications will generally give you that orange peel effect. These usually offer better protection and coverage, but clarity of the display and feel of it???
What's the downside of a "dry" application of a screen protector?

I was a little surprise to see all the others,
but I added a few things that maybe people can help to rate each individual categories or something like that
i dont know which one is better , may be i will use nothing
i used the one that came with my diztronics tpu case. it is actually pretty good and only leaves about a mm all the way around which is acceptable. too many dry screen protectors go edge to edge and it makes installation more challenging. i came away with no dust and centered perfect with it. i ordered a skinomi but i don't know if i'm going to put it on. wet application bothers me a little bit. other than that, i usually use el cheapos from hong kong and they have always worked great on my other phones.
Hello,
Do you recommend Belkin Anti-Glare Screen protector for SGS2? (if you have used it) If not, which screen protector do you recommend? The most important thing for me: It nearly shouldn't have any affect on touch screen sensitivity.
Thanks.
You see im in the camp of whats the point of a screen protector, adding another layer to screen. I just use a cheap clam flip case to keep the screen safe. Only just had S2 but never had a screen protector on my sgs for over year and never got a mark on it

I'm using a basic silicon case. Flip cases are protecting well but having a flap hanging around while using the phone is a little bit annoying for me. I want to use it because, Gorilla Glass screen is just scratch resistant, not scratch-proof. There are many people reporting scratches after just daily use. Also Anti-Glare films making the screen easier to slide, especially in games like Fruit Ninja

OK, I will be glad if you let me know about it. It looks fine. But I couldn't find any local online shop selling Estoc protectors. So, i think I'm going to buy this one tomorrow:

I will write about it.
I have tried the SGP ultra oleophobic, and this worked well for 2 weeks, but after that it would start to attract oil, ... the opposite of what it was supposed to do, the plus side is that it doesn't have tint and the screen looks good. I am now going to try the Halo screen protector. Let us know how you screen protector turns out.
I really like the one that comes with the otterbox for the S2.
it's easy to put on and fits perfectly!
hope this helps
Definitely Zagg invisibleSHIELD.
I couldn't find them locally either. GMarket was the only place I could find them online, I split the cost of shipping with a few other people from XDA.

It also is much smoother, no orange peel & is not tacky unlike zagg products.

zagg is a good brand/product ... but the invisible shield, like chrisjcks said, is not smooth which affect the touch response cause of that tacky feel of it
Received the 3M Estoc screen protector today. It's quite solid, and enables you to 'buff out' minor scratches & dings on the protector. This is due to a coating on the protector itself that obviously wears away over a period of time. It comes with a 49873 page encyclopedia with instructions on how to fit (due to having instructions in 192 different languages). The package contains the protector itself, a microfibre cleaning cloth, a cardboard thingy to smooth out the bubbles when you fit the protector and a few dust removal stickers.
Fitting was no more difficult or different to any other screen protector, just a case of making sure the screen is perfectly clean/free of dust, then slowly/carefully applying it to the screen & smoothing out the bubbles as you go.
This is a good protector if you're using a bumper case & don't have your screen covered, it will easily handle being in a pocket with other items & should protect the screen quite well. It will probably last at least a couple of months (maybe more, depending on how rough you are with your phone) if you use your phone like this. As I use a flip case, it will probably be good for much longer than this, as the face of the phone won't be exposed to the lining of pockets, keys, loose change, etc, etc.
Now to the question of value. Is it worth the ~$25 or so ? Compared to the $15 protector I had on my phone previously, and given I use a flip case which protects the screen anyways, probably not. I doubt I'll be spending another $25 on one of these when it comes time to get a new screen protector.
But if you're someone who uses bumper cases/etc & likes having a 'nudie' screen, I'd definitely recommend these. Obviously if you only order one from GMarket the shipping will make it a fairly expensive exercise, but you could always order more than one/some other stuff from that site, or find someone on XDA to go dutch on the postage who lives in your country like I did (thanks to Victaaaa for same )
The Zagg invisibleSHIELD is the best in my opinion, uses a fluid that facilitates the placement may be withdrawn and placed if things do not go well the first time, this has the orange peel effect but this in no way affects the image or touch . I used it in the first SGS for 1 year and now I'm using it in SGSll about 8 months.
i recommend sgp ultra crystal too...i am using for 5 months and i have no problem at all...fully satisfied.
Thanks for all recommendations. I couldn't have any time to buy one yet; but I hope I'm going to buy this weekend from a store near here. I'm going to buy Belkin, if I can't find it I will prefer SGP or Zagg.

I use SGP Ultra Crystal and so far so good.
Zagg is probably the worse of all of them because of its tacky-ness. Also its scratch healing properties wear off after a month or so. The best is the 3M Estoc+ followed by SGP or RG Japan.
sgp ultra, solid choice in my opinion.. can't go wrong
I recommend SGP ultra crystal film or 3M estoc
Well.. I managed to scratch my screen somehow.. just a small, almost undetectable scratch but still.. made me feel like **** all day long..
XtremeGUARD screen protector - I just bought one for 5$ incl shipping, I've heard only good things about it really, anyone has any experience with it?

Not that fortified apparently.. I have no idea how it got the scratch.. it NEVER leaves my pocket, and I have nothing in my pocket besides my phone.. so I was really surprised. And bummed.. the thing is that its barely noticeable but just knowing that its scratched really upsets me.. oh well, maybe it'll be less noticeable with the screen protector on.
Xtremeguard is very good for the money. Best budget screen protector IMHO!
When I have money, I go Zagg though
I haven't used Xtremeguard on a Nexus yet, but I've used them on two other phones of mine and have loved them. I personally haven't gotten any orange peel, and the fit has been good. The customer service is good too if you get shipped a botched one.
When I get a nexus, that's probably what I'll be buying.
I just got the 3 screen protectors and hate them all
1. Case-Mate: hate it cause it's not clear
2. Rearth (Came with my Ringke SLIM): It's cut to the same height/width of the screen, but because of the curved glass, the edges don't stick
3. Martin Fields: WTF, it's an orange peal orgy.
I've read lots of negative reviews about the Zagg.
I haven't heard of Ghost Armor. Is it 100% clear and does it fit without pealing???
I so wish Power Support would make SPs for Android phones, it's a killer product on my iPad and my wife' iPhone.
These things are amazing. Had them on 4 Phones and they are so clear and easy to apply.

The military grade tech armor screen protector. I got it off amazon for a very good price. I'm using zagg screen protector aka invisible shield
I picked up a pack of 3 from amazon made by Tech Armor. Link
Pros:
- No fingerprints whatsoever
- Very minimal discoloration
- Finger slides like on paper
Cons:
- Display loses sharpness
- Few mm short of covering length of screen
They make a matte and clear version of the screen. It's a fine protector for me since I prefer the papery feel, but not everyone like clarity trade off.

I use this screen protector too and I got the matte version instead of the clear one b/c I like the papery feel/sound. And I am impressed with the quality and the price. So far, it's been protecting my screen very well, but I did notice that I have to tap my capacitive buttons two or three times on occasions, but I'm not sure if it's due to the screen protector alone since I placed the screen protector on it as soon as I got my phone.
I'm hoping there will be spigen ultra optic..there's only ultra crystal right now. My experience on note 2 is really good. Antifingerprint while maintaining screen clarity
Glass, but the effect is not good, may be because I don't know how to stick it

It's not really your protector: it's probably the flawed kernel that got shipped out. Sprint released an update that fixed things, but it's not worked its way into custom ROMs.
+1 for the matte amFilms though. Great feel and price. I slapped one on my Galaxy Nexus as well just because (if you'd believe it, it's a perfect fit for the screen).

I use cheap ones off ebay... buy a handful from 2-4 sellers, find one you like and then re-order 10 or 20 more and just change them out once a month or so... screen protectors should not be kept on the phone for a year or more, except maybe glass (Haven't tried any glass yet)
You can probably get a years+ worth of decent protectors for the price of one Zagg at bestbuy... or less!
