[REQ] Netflix

Does anybody have the functiolnal netflix app, the one I have is asking me to update but its a no no on the market. Thanks in advance

When done installing ,after clicking it turns white give it a few seconds..this works for me on ef02 it does not ask for updates

What are the requirements? I am on RandomRom and Geonicide kernel. I get the log in screen for netflix but as soon as I enter my usernme and try to log in it closes the app.

You need to be on EE03 or EF02 (Gingerbread) for it to work at all. I'm getting good everything from EF02Plus if you wanna mae th switch.

I am on the gingerbread ef10 modem.

There was a thread that had working netflix apps that didn't check for phone versions. I still have the apks on my card aswell.

What version is this? I have 1.2.2.

When I try to stream it says the device has been deactivated...it was working a couple data ago now its not..any suggestions

You may have the modem, but make sure you are also running the gingerbread rom EF02. If not you will need to flash it with oden like you did with the modem.

Downloading a zip...

Is there a way to download a zip file from the internet on the phone?

Just click on it and it starts the download.

I don't know if the stock android browser supports it, but in Dolphin Browser or Opera you can download any type of file. You can use something like file expert to open the zip file.

OP just stated downloading. Stock browser on EI22 works fine for that. Miren stopped working for some reason though.

i'm with the OP.. i've never had good luck consistently getting .zip files to download. Most the time they'll go to start, hang for a min, then fail. tried stock browser, and a couple others. doesn't seem to matter what rom I'm using either.

This has been working fine for me since EH17 when it got fixed. I download full ROMs with no problem.

I've never experienced any issues downloading any files, let alone zip files, using multiple browsers. I'm currently using a blacked out version of Dolphin mini (ty Starsky's rom) and have yet to have an issue still. I usually use Root Explorer to move the file to the folder of my choice, and I guess roms take a bit longer than most files (size) but never any issues. Good luck!

havnt tried using a diff. browser guess ill have to do that just kind of annoying when u wanna download something and it wont download to my phone so i have to be around a cpu everytime i wanna flash something new... but thanks for the inputs everyone

What ROM are you on?

I think it's the file host some of the rom devs use, or possibly his router. For certain roms, downloading over wifi fails no matter what I do, and I end up using 3G.(unlimited plan, 150mb is nothing)

Odd when I launched it both my phone and my wife's it asked to update when done it said I could now use on Wifi.

Can you post that apk? Use a file manager to get it

Not so fast, guys...
...I had a bit of a phone hiccup today and had to ODIN back to stock EL30.
I decided to run the Sprint TV app to see if it would give me that message about some content being accessible over WiFi. No such luck. However, it automatically checked for an update, downloaded it, and when the app restarted after updating, VIOLA!
So you'll want to ODIN back to stock, update the app, then get root and use Root Explorer/Ti Backup/whatever to copy it to your SD card.
Orrrr...I can just save you the trouble and post the .apk

After seeing this thread i searched around and found a version that works over wifi and it looks GREAT!

Wow so sprint wants our location to watch TV on a little ass phone screen. What CRAP! and all the phones in Japan just have a dam turner in them.

I used to download alot of good torrents from btjunkie and isohunt now when I try to search I get this message anyone know why?

I downloaded movie bout 4 hours ago and worked fine. I changed to a different search engine though. I believe is "vertor" on the settings. But I did hear that some websites have been shut down. Let me know if it'll work for you.

Phone....I came from the evo 3d and was able to download any rom off xda on my phone without it failing just seeing what I'm doing wrong g on this one lol

Try to download a different browser like dolphin or Opera browser and see if that helps.

Try download all app from Google Play.

Is your internal memory full? Happened to me before, after I filled my phone up with music. And it wouldn't even tell me memory is full, it just failed downloads. Moved/deleted some files and downloads worked fine after.

Did you buy a used phone? Might be an internal hardware issue.

Firefox or Opera are the only two browsers that work to download anything. Plus while downloading do not exit the app.

Its probably the network.. I noticed running on sprints network whe the phone would go into deep sleep the radio would turn off and download would fail.. My suggestion is to try force roaming with another prl and try to download while roaming.. For some reason when im on sprint prl 60687 using sprints 3g data i have to keep screen on until its finished.. While roaming i can throw it on the charger and come back to a finished download. Or get a browser that will allow you to start/stop the download but this way you might get a bad download.. I wish more devs would use torrents since its way easier to download using adownloader

If you are using stock browser to download I'm pretty sure it's the browser download boatbrowser the only one I'm able to download with... For me it's impossible to download in el29 stock browser

It's because the file type is not compatible with any apps you have. I had the same problem. Download any file explorer from the play store and it'll work

Go into the market and search "Astro". Its a great file explorer and if you go into "Menu"......."Preferences"....and check box that says "Enable Browser Downloads" then reboot. You can now DL anything from any site.

Go to market and download the app called download all files
It works with stock browser... the browser is made to block some stuff not what exactly...
