I was trying out the photo editor from Samsung. After cropping the photo and saving it, the photo quality is poor. Anyone knows an app that can do better? Picsay can't open an 8 Megapixel photo.
Thanks

I think it's aviary photo editor, it does pretty good on both correcting and adding some effects to the photo

nice never seen fish like this one before^^
Mine are taken with i9000 and edited on PC but you can use HDR Camera, Picsay Pro or switch to panorama (option available on any ICS Rom) for similar results. The first one it's processed with Photomatix (3 photos combine at diffrent esposure levels -2, 0, +2 , use for this method HDR Camera), secound one have the color adjusted, some filter and motion blur applied in photoshop. Third one acdsee (you can use picsay), fourth cobined in photoshop (but you can also use windows live photo galery or switch to panorama ICS camera option).
Also has anyone manage to use Camera FV-5 and optain long time exposure (5 secound time exposure for example) in darkness?????
Sorry for my bad eanglish.
This is not mine but this photo has been taken by my friends sgs. Hope U like it

Where camera app for the Galaxy S3 produces the highest image quality? I'm going to use the stock camera app as the baseline.
camera360

ProCapture
via my ParanoidedAndroided GS3
Camera Zoom FX works well for me with the exception of a couple things.
1) Loads slower than stock camera.
2) No video capability.
I really like that I can click anywhere on the screen to take the pic. I don't have to click a particular button.
yup.
ProCapture is nice.
I'm an i9300 user, but can't you guys use hyper-x's modded stock camera app? or does it not work for you guys

Have anyone done a comparison between Vignette and ProCapture? What makes you think ProCapture is better? My search suggest that Vignette's 3.1MP Superfine option produces better quality than the stock app. I don't know what kind of options that ProCapture have that pushes it above the competition.
I prefer using the Stock cam overall, but I do like to use Aviary and Pixlr-o-matic every now and again. FxCamera looks cool, but the lack of live filters is a big usability issue for me.
Pro capture is a good one for power use. Pudding Camera looks good also, but I didn't really like the lack of options in it. Also pictures didn't seem as sharp as with the Stock cam. I can't say much about Vignette based on the free demo, which isn't good enough to make me want to buy it. However, it does seem to have some nice features for taking shots and editing them.
... quickly and in full resolution, in order to merge them and make an HDR picture manually (using PC software)?
Thank you. :victory:

Don't any of you know about Camera FV-5 ?
That's literally the best camera app i have seen.
The pro version supports Long Exposure up to 60 seconds.

Try LenX
Camera FV-5 offers long exposure and many more DSLR-like features.
Although slow shutter reduces your quality to the max video resolution.
Anyone else think that the built in Gallery could use some work?
1. Can't move files.
2. Pinch to zoom is just as bad as it is with Google Photos.
I've disabled it and am using a Modded Version of QuickPic.

Yes we are in agreement with the built-in gallery.
Yeah I agree. I used the S8 before and that is the best gallery for Android bar none. This is super basic.

Haven't used anything but Google photos for years.. i dont think anything beats it. Something about taking a photo n be available across all your devices is amazing
Yep, Google Photos all the way.
Can't stand Google Photos. I just want a Gallery with all my albums. I don't really need all the bloat that comes with Photos.
I'm still using the last version of Quickpic before they sold out.
