You should have really posted in q/a but as long as it's here i might as well answer it...Yes it works on HTC Sense GingerSense roms 2.3.3

So I take it that it will not work on froyo based roms (SR 4.0 for example), is that correct? Although they say it works for the EVO and it has no official GB (just a leak like us) if I recall correctly.

Yup it works on the evos gingersense roms to only gingersense but it doesn't work on our leaks it only works on our ports.

yes it does i think the camcorder is less buggier also the one that came on the rom seemed to skip around on me i didnt use it long enough though but the gallery is fine sometimes it does take a couple presses to get the picture to open but other then that no problems

just tried this on Optimized Gingersense, and it doesn't work
i flashed via recovery, and when opening the camera, it's still the same sense 2 camera.

doesnt the mytouch 4g version have the wifi calling fix? is this able to be ported to this version for our phones, given they are somewhat similar in specs?

lol, thats cool having come over from the mytouch 4g forums to the g2 (great phone, but never used the ffc and missed a physical keyboard too much, so i swapped for a g2), its nice to see some of the same awesome work.

its sense 2.1, based on froyo, and there no quick menu on the pull down bar.

yes you can overclock, to 1.5ghz.

Is there a possibility that devs... just do this to speed up the process of releasing ICS on INC2? ICS+ HTC Sense....i Don't know anything about dev works... but if we put some SENSE apk's and replace or incorporate some ICS apk's that are impossible to transfer to our INC2 then we will have a good working Hybrid ROM ....lol,. Maybe I'm just too farfetched .

We have a ics sense ROM done, but we need a kernel.

Though it is theoretically possible to merge AOSP and Sense frameworks, doing so for ICS is a touch out of the league for our phone just yet. It's really hard to get the two to play nicely together.

corcor67 tried modding a sense kernel for me to try and boot ics sense, but it was a no-go
we *might* get lucky and get an ics update sometime after the inc s/desire s/dhd which are scheduled....but idk.....im hopeful
sense apks will in all likelyhood not work with aosp w/o heavy modifications to aosp frameworks (and no one wants to do that)
whereas aosp apks can be pulled into sense ics (but we dont have it so its non starter)

I see...I'ved been looking for it but can't find a stable 1. . , cant we use the kernel that is in GNexus or those New HTC phones that will likely to received ICS first.? Thanks for the info & to our devs.

there is no released inc 2 ics sense rom, cuz it wouldnt boot so whats the point?
and no the aosp .35 kernels dont work with booting sense
corcor tried adapting the changes but it was a no go so far

The problem is radios and kernels are very device specific.

there are a lot of differences in the changes that need to be made between the sense kernels and aosp ones to boot ics (afaik)

potentially yes, i talked to cjward from virtuous and he said they would try to at some point for vivow but they dont have the device and are still working ics sense stuff out for phones they do have

So this OTA update is safe to flash? Like flashing the RUU? cuz 1 time I flashed the leak from Taiwan...and it messed up my phone stuck on the HTC white screen... but I manage to restore it back. .

Alright,I made this statement once an I will say it again.
Do not ask how to flash this ota, it is not designed to be flashed our used by the average person. It is based strictly in Chinese, no google services in it. This is for developers to use, toy with an extract files to make roms or update them.
This time around,I will delete any comment asking how to flash. I know who the devs are, an who the users area.
Will the recent jb releases for phones like the Evo 3D and the other Evo or two help development of a (better) working ROM for the supersonic? I'm on CM9 now but I wouldn't mind CM10!

We have some JB Roms. With the 3D getting the updates, most people think it would help but they're two different phones entirely. Different hardware so the cameras are no use .. maybe some internal files could potentially help.. but who knows. I'll leave it to he Pros.

JMZ's CM10 is stable from what I read, however, the camera/camcorder isn't ready yet so that kills it for me.

If you're waiting on those anytime soon, you might want to unbuckle your seatbelt... The ride is not going to go very fast for the time being... Considering these devs work off ports, shoooottt they get an Oscar from me... :victory:

The camera was what I was hoping for as well. I'm using JMZs CM9 now and I'm loving it. I wish I was talented enough to contribute!
